Why Toomey Will Win

May 24th, 2010 by David Anderson

Congressman Sestak received a well deserved bounce from his primary victory. For the first time, he has a narrow lead in race for U. S. Senate over former Congressman Pat Toomey. That same polls internals has a lot of good news for Mr. Toomey. Mr. Sestak has pretty much maxed out his base of support. He is in the high eighties among Democrats, proponents of health care deform, and those who approve of the President. Toomey is in the mid 70% of his larger group. He leads among independents and has solid Republican support. He is also viewed more favorably by voters.  I never doubted that Mr. Sestak is a more formidable candidate, but it will be all for naught. All of the space for upward momentum is with future Senator Toomey.

Sestak has the advantage of running against a crazy person.

  2. on 24 May 2010 at 09:162Rick

Since Sestak is always invoking his ‘military accountability,’ I find it odd that he refuses to be accountable to the American people and name the individual in the White House who offered, according to him, the cabinet position of Secretary of the Navy in exchange for his dropping-out of the Senate race against Specter. Such an offer is, of course, a felony.

Don’t look for this to disappear anytime soon. Axelrod is already squirming, saying that ‘we’ve (the White House?) looked into this and there’s nothing to it.” Yeah, riiiiight.

Republicans should…must…no, demand an investigation into election tampering, conspiracy and fraud.

  3. on 24 May 2010 at 09:293jason330

Toomey, by a very literal definition, is a fringe candidate, and he should be treated as such. He was more right-wing than JD Hayworth, Jim DeMint, and even the candidly racist Jesse Helms.

Toomey probably has 1,500 votes which identify him as a loony-tune, right-wing, utopian nut bag.

The question is whether the Pa media (and the Sestak campaign) will allow Toomey to track to the middle unfettered, or whether they call him out for being the fringe, radical candidate that his record in Congress says he is.

  4. on 24 May 2010 at 09:454Rick

A typical Jason sheeple-post. Cut-and-paste some other pinkos’ rant and pass-it-off as objective analysis.

Jason’s own words are, as usual, irrelevant; some meaningless ‘utopian nut bag’ gibberish.

Good God, man- have you ever had an original thought?

  5. on 24 May 2010 at 10:195jason330

    Rick,

You’re angry fretting is amusing to me. I think it springs from the fact that you know I am right. Toomey is an unelectable nut bag, and barring some typically unethical GOP hijinx – you’ll be crying in your beer come November.

  6. on 24 May 2010 at 11:106Rick

You’re angry fretting is amusing to me.

It doesn’t take much to amuse an idiot.

  7. on 24 May 2010 at 11:227Hube

It doesn’t take much to amuse an idiot.

Exactly. Keep in mind, too, that Trust Fund’s constant use of profanity and ad hominems makes him a “tough guy.”

  8. on 24 May 2010 at 11:318jason330

Okay Rick. You say tomato and I say tomahto. Come November one of us will be laughing his ass off.

  9. on 24 May 2010 at 12:039Rick

Come November one of us will be laughing his ass off.

About what? I don’t recall saying that Toomey will win.

On the other hand, I do think the Republicans will regain control of the House of Representatives and gain about 8-9 US Senate seats (including Hapless Harry’s seat). The Socialist-Dems and their water-carriers in the media will blame ‘the economy’- it can’t possibly recover by November- but, the real reason is BO, Ried and Pelosi’s radical socialist agenda that has quadrupled the debt.

  10. on 24 May 2010 at 12:1610jason330

Okay. Toomey will lose, and the election is a referendum on “radical socialism” and the black guy’s “radical socialist agenda.” Got it.

  11. on 24 May 2010 at 12:4111Hube

    Got it.

    Don’t flatter yourself.

  12. on 24 May 2010 at 12:5612jason330

To be clear, what I “get” is that Rick thinks that there is “radical socialism” afoot in the land. I chalk that up to excessive talk radio exposure.

I don’t think that a country that coddles and cares for its idle rich (like myself) has anything to fear from “radical socialism” or normal socialism for that matter.

  13. on 24 May 2010 at 13:2913Hube

I don’t think that a country that coddles and cares for its idle rich (like myself) has anything to fear from “radical socialism” or normal socialism for that matter.

    Not immediately, at least.

  14. on 24 May 2010 at 13:4714jason330

Let me know if the black guy’s “radical socialism” is gonna make me work for a living. If so, I’m on the first Concord to the United Arab Emirates.

  15. on 24 May 2010 at 21:2015Rick

Nationalizing the auto industry and healthcare is ‘radical socialism,’

Not until the economy collapses and the government begins to dissolve thanks to its debt and its pollution/inflation of our money, i.e. our economic language. It may be fun to stoke your moral vanity for now by electing politicians to give other people’s money to the poor, thus proving how compassionate you supposedly are and so on. It essentially costs nothing because it’s borrowed from future generations based on the national credibility created by past generations. It will be interesting to see what people’s values actually are when they wear out the credibility of their money/language and things begin to cost them something again. It’s easy to pretend that you care about the poor by electing politicians to abuse the credit of future generations.

  18. on 25 May 2010 at 11:2918anon

Yes, the economy will collapse and government will dissolve — as opposed to politicians actually growing a set and raising tax rates on higher incomes. Because, y’know, it’s much more likely politicians will choose societal suicide than to inconveniece the better-off among us.

  19. on 25 May 2010 at 12:1619Rick

Of course the economy will collapse. What is it based on? The dollar? What is that? They can print currency ’till they’re blue-in-the-face, but once we get to a debt ratio of 120% of GDP (projected- 2016), what nation in their right mind will finance our debt, and if they do, at what price? Do you have any clue what the interest is on our current debt? It is unsustainable, yet BO and his Socialist minions want even more debt- a lot more. Which leads one to ask; do they want economic, and thus, social chaos?

  20. on 25 May 2010 at 12:1720jason330

    mynym,

If wealthy people like myself ever feel threatened by the economic bogey men that terrorize the imaginations of poor people (like yourself), I’ll let you know.

For now, we are still living large at your expense…so thanks!

  21. on 25 May 2010 at 12:2521anon

The socialists’ political support/vote buying by way of massive universal entitlement handouts borrowed on credit, as well stated by previous commenters, is probably one of the most massive frauds on a nation and a people in the history of the globe.

The fact that these leftist scum are so brazen and unaccountable in doing it, refusing ever to answer (except “TAX THE RICH INTO OBLIVION FOREVER”) demonstrates how deeply dishonest and disgusting they are.

The less delusional ones know that there is definitely a s**t ton of spending cuts to be made before they push us back to insane soak the middle class and the “rich” tax tyranny. They won’t admit it and you never hear them really defend the bloated system while they argue for its latest greatest expansion.

They will not be content till they have it all which is why they are on the fast road to losing it all. As the old saying goes give a beggar a horse and he’ll ride it straight to hell. The leftist despots like Obama and his junta are pure parasites faking their way to power control and personal wealth. They must be stopped by all means necessary.

  22. on 25 May 2010 at 12:4322jason330

“The fact that these leftist scum are so brazen and unaccountable in doing it, refusing ever to answer (except “TAX THE RICH INTO OBLIVION FOREVER”) demonstrates how deeply dishonest and disgusting they are.”

Take a breath nutbag. You may not know this but taxes on wealthy people in the United States are so low that we are considered a tax haven. That means rich free loaders from other countries come here to live like parasites off the industry of past generations.

But don’t listen to me, I’m only a wealthy parasite. Listen to the Center for International Policy which published a list showing that the good ole US of A is the world’s biggest beneficiary of non-resident deposits at $2.18 trillion. What is the second best tax haven for rich scum bags? The Cayman Islands with $1.55 trillion.

  23. on 25 May 2010 at 13:3123anon

But don’t listen to me, I’m only a wealthy parasite.

Sure, no problem and absolutely agreed. Your first truth telling this year!

Again, no defense of the bloat or spending cuts. Just typical soak-the-rich class warfare and textbook Marxist nonsense.

  24. on 25 May 2010 at 13:4524jason330

Simmer down. I’m all for propping us a class of parasitic rich people – why wouldn’t I be? Paris Hilton needs a new diamond studded dildo. They are not cheap.

As far as cutting is concerned, maybe you could propose some cuts? Social Security? Defense? Go ahead and balance the budget, but be warned….cutting foreign aid will not get you to the promised land.

  25. on 25 May 2010 at 14:3725anon

Damn right, all of the above. Defense and especially Social Security.

I recently reviewed someone’s financial particulars — over $1million in assets AND a $2600/month social security benefit.

THAT is your disgusting vote buying Democrat Socialist system there big mouth.

Not to mention all the corporate and Wall Street welfare your party trowels out.

Really you have some f**ing nerve coming here and pretending you and your fantasy based big spending utopians are the responsible grown ups, rather than the deluded spendthrift maniacs run loose while mommy and daddy are out of town for the weekend.

THAT is you and your Democrat Socialist party in a NUTshell. Made of nuts, filled with nuts, and since they so love the term teabagger, tasting your opponents’ nuts.

  26. on 25 May 2010 at 14:5626jason330

    You meant Democratic Socialist party.

Anyway…Like I said. Keep up the good work. Parasites like me could not get along without serfs like you doing the heavy lifting.

No, I meant Democrat Socialist party. Last I checked you aren’t calling yourself “Democratics”.

@27 – project much? More evidence of your delusion bubble: that you actually think it’s all coming around your way and the country isn’t learning every day and every day to detest the charlatan Obama and your nauseating parade of misanthropic moonbats running the national government…..for now.

  29. on 25 May 2010 at 17:1829Hube

Parasites like me could not get along without serfs like you doing the heavy lifting.

Another truthful statement by Trust Fund. Things are looking up.

Ah, if only you had facts to back up your boasts. But that’s what your side does best — boast. If we could package and sell derivatives of conservative boasts, we’d all be on easy street.

Take a breath nutbag. You may not know this but taxes on wealthy people in the United States are so low that we are considered a tax haven…

Maybe so…but, the bottom 50% of Americans pay no taxes whatsoever other than SS.

All your “side” does is lie, smear, screach, squeal and suck.

As a famous cowboy once said it ain’t braggin’ if it’s true.

You leftist scum are toast and your frenzy shows ya know it.
