Urquhart to Announce Energy Plan and Make No Climate Tax Pledge to the the People
Jul 16th, 2010 by David Anderson
URQUHART SIGNS NO CLIMATE TAX PLEDGE AND PREPARES TO ANNOUNCE MAJOR ENERGY POLICY INITIATIVE
On July 16, 2010, Republican Congressional Candidate and former Reagan Appointee Glen Urquhart will sign a pledge to the people of the state of Delaware to oppose any climate tax. At the Great Conservative Cookout at the Yoder Farm near Greenwood Delaware (89 Huntington Quarter Rd, Houston, DE) he will make clear that he is opposed to cap and trade, a carbon tax, or any similar oppressive tax scheme which will fall heaviest on families and job creating businesses.
Mr. Urquhart believes high energy costs are one of 5 major factors dragging down our economic performance, along with dangerous levels of debt and accompanying credit crunch caused by high federal deficits, uncertainty caused by the huge tax hikes set for 2011 and beyond, a flood of regulations, and health care costs.
“Artificially raising already high energy costs borders upon economic insanity”, says Urquhart. “Such a move (currently pending in Congress) will drive manufacturing overseas even faster. Worse, it will devastate families who are already on the economic edge,” he opined.
David Anderson Campaign Communicator took Democrats to task: “Democrats in Delaware led by former Lt. Governor John Carney and the current and past governor have already done enough damage to our families by putting us under a regional form of cap and trade and mandating that a fifth of our energy comes from certain types of expensive renewable sources. John Carney was also part of the Carper administration’s failed deregulation of electricity. They deregulated prices but did not bring in competition. During the Carney/Minner administration, we saw hikes of nearly 60%. Now they want to make it even worse on a national level by advancing the same failed policies and adding a new energy tax”, he stated. As soon as Mr. Carney left government he went to his cronies to get taxpayer money to profit from these policies.
Glen Urquhart stands on the side of normal Delawareans by signing the Americans for Prosperity pledge to oppose any “Climate Tax” on energy. The issue is so important that Mr. Urquhart will make the same pledge directly to the people of Delaware and announce a positive market-based set of solutions to the energy crisis.
The press is invited to attend the announcement. Mr. Urquhart will be available to the press after he speaks at the event. He will also be happy to make appointments before the event for media outlets that will not be available to cover the event or need to leave before he is scheduled.
The Great Conservative Cookout is sponsored by the Delaware Conservative Coalition, and feature former Virginia Governor and U. S. Senator, George Allen
Glen Urquhart is expected to speak during the 6:00 hour.
End

This guy is a looser.. If you vote for him in Sep. Carney will use this( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kh4xhem8tM ) over and over until everyone in Delaware know who Urkhart really is. This Glen guy will say anything to anyone to get elected. Example: “Hi Mr. Devil, I’ll keep the heat on for you.”, “Hello Black people, my great grandfather was black.” or the classic “Hi Conservatives, I’m not gay, I just want there votes.”
That will insure Carney loses. If he tries that instead of addressing the issues of concern to the people such as the economy, debt, medicare smashing health deform, job creation, or his oppressive tax and energy schemes.
It’s over, Period.
U.S. Representative, Michelle Rollins!
beginning to sound kinda good…
Michelle Rollins???? Ok, you like the “Nazi Guy Glen” and the “GOP Puppet Rollins”… Tom Ross on line one Ms. Money Bags…”Yes Tom, Your right Tom, Cap & Trade Tom.. You Got It.” WOW.. I think your on to something.. You want to give this election to the Democrats.. Oh were is the Queen, in Jamaica?
It’s a little hard to take your rants seriously when you can’t even spell “loser.”
If Mr. Urquhart is about to announce an energy policy, then I say that’s awesome. That would make him the first candiate other than Mr. Castle in either race to actually have a real policy position on the record.
It’s about time.
I hope Kim Hoey Stevenson is getting a good chuckle out of how things have turned out in her absence. Talk about giving the impression your campaign is run by a bunch of amateurs …
- “Greenwood Delaware” – should be Greenwood, Del. Note the comma and abbreviation.
- “David Anderson Campaign Communicator took Democrats to task – should be “David Anderson, campaign spokesman, took Democrats to task.” Note the commas. And what is a “Campaign Communicator”?
- Furthermore, why are most of the quotes in this release attributed to you rather than your candidate? Is he afraid to criticize Carney?
- “… adding a new energy tax”, he stated. – Commas go inside quotation marks, unless you’re from Britain or some other European country. (And they’re mostly SOCIALISTS!!!!)
- “Virginia Governor and U. S. Senator, George Allen” – should be “U.S. Senator George Allen.” You don’t need a comma after his title. And periods are always nice things with which to end sentences.
From another post – You said previously that you always run spellcheck. Well, then, can you explain what an “unedorsed candidate” is?
People should not be laughing at a campaign’s press release unless it’s April 1.
Mike, I can say Glen is a Loser and I would be correct. I was using Looser: lacking in reticence or power of restraint: a loose tongue.. In other words, Glen is not doing a good job of hiding the fact that he is an elitist..
Another April mistake by: “Glen Adolf Urqeharte”
Heil Ureharte!!!

Rollins didn’t look particularly comfortable last night- had a bit of the ‘deer-in-the-headlights look. Confused, out-of-place; sort of like Castle would have been- they are two peas in a pod.
Of course, Yoder Farm didn’t serve her famous ‘Jamacian Jerk Caviar.’
She belongs at a Wilmington country club- typical blah-blah-blah walking talking-point. Pathetic.
