The Alvin Greene Phenomenon
Jun 18th, 2010 by Tennessee Walker
Nothing is quite as funny as the way Democrats react when their apple cart gets upset. Such is the case of the winner of the South Carolina Democrat Primary for the U.S. Senate Seat, former Army and Air Force Veteran Alvin Greene.
Mr. Greene has been vilified by Democrats throughout the nation. It seems no one can figure out how an African American can win a Democrat primary in a state with a significant African American population.
Greene has been accused of being a Republican plant, dishonorably discharged from the military, a sex pervert, and dumb. Actually I always thought the aforementioned were the qualifications for Democrat candidates. The hyperventilating and hypocritical party is demonstrating just how little they care about “the will of the people” . The Democrat party is trying to get him kicked off the General Election ballot.
Can one imagine the reaction of the Press and Democrats if the Republican Party had gone after such a candidate that happened to win a primary against a white candidate favored by Party leadership?
So far no Republican connection can be demonstrated but if there proves to be a connection I don’t see what this changes. The fact, that the personal problems of this candidate were never made known to The Primary voters, is the fault of the Democrat party and the opposition candidates. Now the Democrats are chasing the horse after the Party left the barn door open. This fiasco was made possible by the incompetence of South Carolina Democrat party.
If those rascally Republicans really made this happen then this demonstrates a level of cleverness I haven’t seen in my party before.
The charge of being a Republican Plant seems unlikely. Alvin lives with his father James Greene who had been active in local Democrat Politics.
Democrat officials question where Greene got his $10,000 + filing fee and imply more rascally Republican tricks.
But, Greene’s explanation that he had saved the money for his filing fee is backed by former Army buddies who state that Greene was very Frugal and saved as much of his pay as possible.
Democrat officials fear, and here I agree with them, that Greene’s candidacy assures Senator Jim Demint of reelection.
Imagine that, a flawed candidate who has not had a job since 2009, does not have their own home, is getting cited by the FEC, and has had some questionable personal issues could guarantee the election of the candidate of the opposition party.
Thank God these kind of things only happen in South Carolina.

Why of course this kind of stuff happens in Delaware:
Alvine Greene = Christine O’Donnell
Alvin Greene has actually won an election. That is the Democrat U.S. Senate Primary in South Carolina. So far Christine has not won a single election.
Also Mr. Greene has a B.A degree from the University of South Carolina and USC did not have to track him down in California to get paid.
So Greene doesn’t own his own home. What happened? Did his girlfriend buy it from him with promise that he would buy it back?
I don’t understand the arrogance of the democrats down in SC trying to get him kicked off the ballot. The people voted for him! How can a polictical party seriously even try to trump the people’s votes? If they succeed then we’re all more screwed than I ever thought possible.
nosy Democrats get away with this stuff all the time.
Honestly this controversy might generate more voter turnout by Democrats in general election for that race than a standard Democrat candidate would have.
Tim this guy is a dream candidate for DeMint. His father’s neighbors say “he ain’t wrapped tight”. It essentially gives DeMint a free ride to the Senate.
The last time I checked there is no property requirement for being a Senator. One in six Americans is unemployed or underemployed. They have a right to be represented. Why would Democrats be prejudiced against that? To me that would be a selling point in this economy.
Did you see any Democrat challenger presenting Sen. DeMint with a serious threat? I don’t think the SC Democrat Party did, and I personally didn’t.
I personally think that the Greene, may not have his game together, but he has been basically honest about why and how he got where he is in this race. If that isn’t the case, than I think him being a reverse plant is a probability, or that this drama was injected into the campaign in order to distract from a totally unrelated issue. If the story line, that the DeMint campaign planted him in the race, stuck than it could potentially enrage Democrat voters and drive them to the polls to vote against DeMint in greater numbers than if it was just another average race between an average Democrat and Sen DeMint. This would have been especially effective if they had been able to switch Greene out with a standard Democrat candidate after the story had saturated the media. Then SC Democrat voters would have the sence of fighting against Republican injustice to drive them to the polls and a reasonably qualified candidate that wouldn’t drive them away from the polls.
Okay that was my little game of conspiracy theory for the day. I hope every one enjoyed it.
“Okay that was my little game of conspiracy theory for the day. I hope every one enjoyed it.”
As good a conspiracy theory as I have heard.
Why of course this kind of stuff happens in Delaware:
Alvine Greene = Christine O’Donnell…cookie
Really? O’Donnell won the primary?
This just shows how incredibly stupid Socialist-Democrats are; sort of like those in Palm Beach County who couldn’t figure out how to punch a hole in a ballot.
