Delaware Governor, Jack Markell and members of the Kent County state legislative delegation highlighted the annual Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce Legislative Luncheon, held at Dover Downs on Friday.
Governor Markell said that when he took office in 2009, Delaware (with a $ 3- Billion annual budget) was rated in the worst ten states for unemployment. Finland’s Defense Minister, Jussi Niinistö, attended an informal meeting of European Defense Ministers in Luxembourg last week , from September 2-3, 2015. The meeting was mainly a defense-related follow-up to matters emergent from a European Council discussion held last June, current defense matters and preparation for the upcoming (defense) Foreign Affairs Council meeting to be held at the ministerial level in November.
