So It is Christine

Aug 3rd, 2010 by Tennessee Walker

It turns out the source of the ridiculous rumor that Mike Castle has cut a deal and will switch parties after the November Election is none other than Christine O’Donnell herself!!!

I guess this shouldn’t come as a shock.

This most recent display of bizarre desperation by a candidate that can’t personally get it together, quite frankly is disturbing.

The O’Donnell Campaign is  engaged in the worst kind of rumormongering.  They are putting out blatant untruths and getting sympathetic but foolish people to repeat the lies.  Here is the link to the Chrisitne O’Donnell website where she begins the spin.

 http://christine2010.com/blog/383-castle-likely-would-sell-out-or-even-jump-ship/

Christine O’Donnell states on her website when commenting on a Washington Post column that:

“But secondly, Kamen’s statement assumes that the liberal Mike Castle hasn’t cut a deal and would, immediately upon election, “pull a Specter” and change parties. Considering Castle’s consistent liberal voting record, such a scenario is far from wild speculation.”

I’m sorry Christine but Castle changing parties after the November Election is the epitome of Wild Sepculation.  Christine provides no factual basis for promoting this rumor.  She just makes it up as she goes along.

Now if Ms. O’Donnell really believes this load of crapola,  I will extend to her the same offer I gave to Erick Erikson of RedState.  If she wishes to accpt my challenge I will pay her $10,000 if Castle changes parties by January.  Of Course she will have to pay me $10,000 if this doesn’t occur.  I’ll not hold my breath on takers on this challenge.

Thanks to Cookie for the heads up on the O’Donnell website.

TW, I can’t take credit for this one. A wonderfully brilliant anonymous source gave me the heads up on this on. And yet David Anderson denies that she had anything to do with this. Wake up DA!!!!!

  2. on 03 Aug 2010 at 18:062Windjammer

    c’mon TW

It certainly isn’t wild speculation, especially after viewing the last few years of his voting record. I wouldn’t put it past him.
It might be a bit of speculation but it certainly isn’t wild.
It’s a reasonable theory and I consider it palpable.
Castle is a democrat at heart and his voting record proves it. His lame apology in Sussex County for his affirmative vote on cap and trade wasn’t accepted or believed by anybody but the GOP hierarchy and only a few people showed up for the non-event. He just wants the senate seat for a adios feather in his cap to crown his political career.
I say, GO CHRISTINE. TOAST THIS FAKE.

and no, I don’t believe for a minute he got this from the O’Donnell campaign. They wouldn’t believe such a thing either. — Pat Fish on Red State Challenge
    Whaddaya think now Pat?

  4. on 03 Aug 2010 at 18:394cookie

    WJ,
I can’t believe you would believe such BS. I know that you don’t believe Urquhart’s BS so why would you believe this? A Republican of 53 years changing his party. For what end? Specter changes parties like he changes underwear so don’t give that sad story.

  5. on 03 Aug 2010 at 18:595Tennessee Walker

WJ It is worse than wild speculation It is a bald faced lie. There are zero facts to back up this campaign of smears and innuendo.

    This is just trash mouthing.
If anyone has proof let’s see it. I am willing to extend my challenge to others out there. Any takers???

    Oh pulllllleeeez…..

I mean gimme a break and go to hell pulllleeeez….

So some flack puts up speculation on her site that Castle might defect from the party like Spector pulllllleeeezzz….what? What should we do all you woe mongerers gnashing your teeth…what should we do as we emit big freaking boo hoos?

Should we impeach the whole O’Donnell campaign for speculating on such a thing when such speculation is not, ahem, totally out of the question? I mean so they said Castle might become a damn Democrat…officially that is.

O’Donnell is running for a political office here. I mean, throwing it out there, her sister could have created her own Blog and went on and on about her godawful lying fake religious sister now running for Delaware Senator.

She could have, I dunno, had a minister at a church she attended be caught on tape lambasting the country and shouting how we deserved the attacks on 9-11.

Get a little perspective. speculation that Mike Castle might switch parties….go with me here….well it could happen. The writer also opines that once Castle gets in the Senate he might vote for the Democrats…damn and horrors to hell and back how DARE THEY SUGGEST SUCH A THING?

How about y’all who think you got a great big oobie doobie do big ass thing on Christine O’Donnell sit down and take a big calming breath?

Now I don’t know why Erick put up that big post on Red State and if he did based on that harmless little paragraph than shame on him. As I recall Erick’s contention was allegedly not just based on the O’Donnell side of things but he seemed to infer he’d heard it from lots of folks, including on the Castle side. Well it’s what the hell he said or should I not believe my lying eyes?

I did say that I didn’t believe the O’Donnell campaign believed Castle would switch political parties after election and I still don’t believe they think that. I think that little gambit was planted deliberately to put doubt in the many who are maybe a bit tired of Castle constantly betraying the Republican base. Heaven forbid that the O’Donnell campaign people should actually…I dunno….RUN A POLITICAL CAMPAIGN SO SHOOT THEM ALL IN PUBLIC ON ROUTE ONE! The voters are expected, ahem, to be smart enough to see beyond the political hype. Attacks of the vapors look a bit stupid.

Mike Castle’s not going to turn Democrat because, well why the hell would he?

Please, yon gentle maidens, sit down, breathe into a paper bag if need be.

It’s a political campaign, the O’Donnell campaign is suggesting something not beyond the pale, offering an extremely believable scenario, yes maybe playing on the biggest gripe most pubs have with Castle.

I say hang them all and hang them high. Shoot them all and shoot them in public.

How double damn dare they run a political campaign in this free country?

  8. on 03 Aug 2010 at 20:028anon con

Why would Castle leave the GOP, it expects nothing from him and gives him everything he wants.

  9. on 03 Aug 2010 at 20:079cookie

Well Pat, if you are willing to believe all of her lies, then God help you.

  10. on 03 Aug 2010 at 20:1110Pat Fish

God help me, Cookie. God help me.

Now breathe slowly….pulll in deep breaths….hold the paper bag tight over your mouth. Have a seat right over there.

    Oh…the drama….God help me.

Libs…running life based only on emotion.

  11. on 03 Aug 2010 at 20:3111Renee

    Pat,
First you say I don’t believe redstate got this from the O’Donnell campaign, then when you find that to be true, then the story becomes, “Well go with me here, it could happen that he would switch parties.” Which is it? Can’t your little tiny brain make up it’s mind?

  12. on 03 Aug 2010 at 21:1012I am the truth

I will give any charity $10,000 if Castle will stop making such terrible votes on Cap and Trade, Disclosure or possibly not be so anti gun or anti life.
Keep up the personal attacks, it will be a pleasure voting against Mike Castle.

  13. on 03 Aug 2010 at 23:1813GeorgeC

If Castle wanted to convert to a Democrat he’d do it now, and he’d win this election by like 35 points. This isn’t just wild unfounded speculation, it simply makes no sense. Christine has done nothing but run a smear campaign and it is embarrassing. Sad thing is she might run in the general after she loses and take votes away from Castle.

The idiot at Red State said it was a done deal, and Bill Colley was giving him props last night for not naming his source.
The idiot at Red State also claimed that Castle was trailing Coons in the polls, but would not name which poll.

  16. on 04 Aug 2010 at 08:4716Rick

…such a scenario is far from wild speculation.

You consider this to be ‘disturbing?’

Politics is a contact sport, and hyperbole, half-truths, exaggeration and intimation are part of it. As they say, ‘if you can’t stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.’

  17. on 04 Aug 2010 at 08:5317Pat Fish

So what….yes, I did say I didn’t think this tidbit came from the O’Donnell campaign. At the time I didn’t.

Evidently at least some hint came from the O’Donnell campaign. Lookit at me…jumping up and down….

IT CAME FROM THE O’DONNELL CAMPAIGN!!! I AM A LYING DOG WITH A TINY BRAIN!!!

I then argue that as I read it, it seems like no big deal. Remember that I had no idea, had I believed the O’Donnell campaign leaked it, I didn’t know how or why….like did some O’Donnell operative call up Erick and say…”I spoke to Mike Castle himself and he said that he was going to turn Democrat just as soon as he got elected”. That scenario would have been a bit over the top.

Or that it was harmless speculation, as I see it and you are certainly allowed to vary your mileage, by an O’Donnell somebody posted on her site. Which Erick, so it seems to me, made into a way bigger deal on his post than it was, as I see it. Erick also stated, again as I iterate, that he heard it from Castle operatives as well. Nowhere on the O’Donnell site was it suggested that Castle operatives hinted at a party switch.

That’s how my tiny mind sees it.

I must sure scare you people.

    Heh.

No wait….I’m thinking it’s CASTLE that has you folks all in an upheaval.

The O’Donnell campaign hit him where he’s the weakest and damn, y’all almost sound like Democrats with your tears.

And again, as I’ve said all along for what it’s worth….I do NOT think Castle will change to Democrat because like another wise poster stated, why should he? The GOP doesn’t mind if he votes Democrat; still the party supports him. Why should he change?

    Heh.

You guys got a weak candidate in Castle and you’re hurting.

    May God help you all.

    ;)

  19. on 04 Aug 2010 at 09:3319Cal

Christine’s campaign? Naahh – It just might have been me…
In talking to one of Castle’s staff members, I was told that ‘You know what you will have with Michael Castle” My reply was “Another Arlen Specter” – That was over a month ago, soooo you could say I started it – even though it is pretty obvious.

While I believe the RedState article’s end result is accurate, I don’t believe Castle would be quite so obvious.

My scenario would be that Castle is running to prep for Beau Biden, but would not change party. Castle, having been hospitalized in 2008 for a stroke, would probably bow out due to health reasons (thereby not being branded a party traitor). This would open the seat for our Democrat Governor to appoint Beau without Castle having to bear the albatross and besmirch his own name.

In the interim, Castle, who has voted 60% with the Obama administration has openly said that he wants the Senate seat so he can be more ‘Independent’. Would anyone even imagine that he means more Conservative? Not hardly!

Some point to Castle’s vote against Obamacare as a plus for him – when in reality, he refused to commit until two days before the vote, when Steny Hoyer had counted enough votes to where Castle’s wasn’t needed. Of course he now feels that efforts to defund or repeal it are a ‘waste of time’.

Couple that with his Cap and Trade support, with his co-authoring the Disclose Act which would muzzle grassroots and smaller organizations while exempting Unions, Large Corporations and Large Special Interest groups. He even voted to allow your child to be transported across State lines for an abortion without even notification of the parents. The list is very very long – way too much to list here.

Instead, we have a choice – Christine O’Donnell who has unswervingly been:
    Pro-Constitution – Pro-National Defense – Pro-Life – Pro-Family – Pro-Second Amendment – Pro-States Rights – Pro-Border Security – Pro-Free Market – Pro-Freedom – Anti-High Taxes – Anti-Big Government – Anti-ObamaCare.

(Aren’t these the values we say we are looking for?)

  20. on 04 Aug 2010 at 11:1520Tennessee Walker

And Cal do you have one fact that backs any of this up? typical of the O’Donnell campaign is this type of smear campaign of idiotic falsehoods. Christine starts peddling this crap the week it comes out that Her reported earnings over the last 15 months was $5,800. Christine needs to distract everyone from the fact that she has others that are paying her bills. Who are they?

Christine’s net income is exceeded by her housing expenses by 3 to 1.

  21. on 04 Aug 2010 at 12:3121Renee

Your’e right TW, this was all a ploy to distract from her personal financial disclosure report which is a month late.
The question still begs to to answered, how does somone live on $386.66 a month from 3/09 to 6/10?

  22. on 04 Aug 2010 at 13:1822Apo Whichiapi

hey – David…..TW said “Christine needs to distract everyone from the fact that she has a sugar Daddy that pays her bills.”

now what is the difference in that comment than what I said in my post?…… that you deleted.
same principal – just a matter of who got to it first LOL

  23. on 04 Aug 2010 at 18:1723Tennessee Walker

AW, as David and I have explained before, the originator of the post does the policing. That would be me and not David. I have no way of judging the accuracy of your statement that you had a comment deleted that was similaryto mine as I did not see it. But, I did review my comment and realized it was not what I intended to say. I was trying to make the case that someone, we don’t know who, has to be giving her financial support. I should not have used anything with a sexual connotation as it was not what I intended. I have edited the comment and have put myself on Double Secret Probation for an undetermined amount of time.

  24. on 04 Aug 2010 at 19:0524Cal

Ahhh, so Tennessee Walker shoots from the hip…

What part do you want proof of? That ‘I believe the RedState article’s end result is accurate,’ or ‘I don’t believe Castle would be quite so obvious.’ or ‘My scenario’ or ‘voted 60% with the Obama administration’ (actually it was 65% by some counts) or ‘he refused to commit until two days before the vote, when Steny Hoyer had counted enough votes to where Castle’s wasn’t needed’ maybe it was ‘Castle, having been hospitalized in 2008 for a stroke’

Just what do you question here?

  25. on 04 Aug 2010 at 19:0925David Anderson

You knock Christine for filing a financial disclosure but couldn’t care about Michele Rollins who had not even filed one as of last month. Unlike the Senate system, the house system for candidates is worse than Byzantine. It is not on line. It is self service and they don’t even tell you ahead of time who filed. You have to search it for yourself. It is possible for someone to have filed and it be lost in the lack of system up there.

They do send it to the states within 30 days. I think the whole thing should be abolished. It is a useless exercise. Once the members get there, send them to the ethics committee and seal them. That way there will be someone looking over their shoulders for conflicts of interest. It is not a public issue. So no, I am not making to comparison to call for anyone to do anything. I am just making a comparison with the people who were so anxious to find nothing with Christine couldn’t care a wit about Michele.

  26. on 04 Aug 2010 at 20:2026Tennessee Walker

Cal you have no facts to support the proposition that Castle is going, as you say, get the eventual RED STATE result. That is the topic of my last three posts. The O’Donnell whack job mindless speculation ranks up there with the aliens at area 51 in Roswell Nevada and the conspiracy theories regarding the Kennedy assassination. But hey if that is the company you keep with your conspiracy theory go at it.

  27. on 05 Aug 2010 at 13:4027Cal

    >>>Cal you have no facts to support the proposition that Castle is going, as you say,<<<

Geeesh, now Castle's campaign is sounding more like Press Secretary 'Beltway Bob'. No matter what people think, want, or believe – it doesn't matter – they all must be 'wack jobs'.

You see, I knew Mike when he used to jog (solo) around downtown Dover, and today's Mike is nothing like the person he was then. He used to seek out peoples opinions – before he began following the Elite Liberal Pied Piper of Hamelin.

I would have thought that you would have been appreciative of me saying that Castle probably wouldn't be a traitor to the party, but no, if you seem to disagree with a portion of what I said, it must all be wrong… Hmmm.

    Re: Area 51
Gee, I have absolutely no concrete evidence of aliens landing there – seems you have proof they did not. (maybe they told you it was elsewhere), but what do I know.

p.s. It does pain me to have to be critical of a Tennessee Walker enthusiast. (Having owned a couple of good ones over the years) – even in this heat, find a nice woods road, get em in the gait and relax – it clears the mind and puts things in perspective.

  28. on 05 Aug 2010 at 13:5228Cal

Tw, I forgot to add that when you say “conspiracy theories regarding the Kennedy assassination.” I may have more insight than the average bear – I was 60 miles away from Dallas, serving in Army Intelligence at the time. However, I do NOT discuss that – I just listen to others expound on their thoughts.

Theories are for investigating, with dead ends abandoned and other theories explored, until the truth is known.

  29. on 05 Aug 2010 at 18:4429Rick

I was 60 miles away from Dallas, serving in Army Intelligence at the time. However, I do NOT discuss that –

Why don’t you ‘discuss’ it- your superior officers did.

  30. on 05 Aug 2010 at 21:2930GeorgeC

I’m going wayyyyy off topic with this one, but oh well. There is not a shot in hell the Kennedy story is true. I have no idea what happened, but the notion that a guy who sucked as much as Oswald did with a rifle scoring 3 hits on 5 shots with a bolt action rifle on a moving target is about a plausible as a theory that Obama is lowering the deficit.

  31. on 05 Aug 2010 at 22:5131anon

“I may have more insight than the average bear – I was 60 miles away from Dallas, serving in Army Intelligence at the time. However, I do NOT discuss that – I just listen to others expound on their thoughts.”

LOL … In other words, “I’m going to tease your conspiracy beliefs by implying that I know something about the assassination by mentioning that I, like tens of thousands of others, was within an hour of a major metropolitan area, and that I served in the military, in a specialty which sounds like I know secrets but without any specifics could just mean I fetched coffee, but refuse to discuss ‘details’ because I’m completely full of shit.”

  32. on 06 Aug 2010 at 00:0632Cal

Nope – When you had a Top Secret & Crypto clearance, back then we took the responsibilities seriously. Nobody certifies to you that this or that are now declassified, so I just listen to the theories and sometimes I know they are out in left field, but others fit enough to warrant further scrutiny. So, by listening you can learn quite a lot. (that was my job)

Most of us took our Oath seriously!
I’m not interested in writing any books, just gathering information.

If you have any theories you want to pass along, I’m all ears.

  33. on 06 Aug 2010 at 00:2033Cal

    anon,
I’ll leave the coffee part to you – cuz it appears you are full of something unpleasant.

At 186,000 miles per second, 60 miles is trivial.

  34. on 06 Aug 2010 at 08:4834Tennessee Walker

“but the notion that a guy who sucked as much as Oswald did with a rifle scoring 3 hits on 5 shots with a bolt action rifle on a moving target is about a plausible as a theory that Obama is lowering the deficit.”

George C., Oswald earned marksman status in the Marine Corps. I don’t know who told you he sucked with a rifle. The moving target was moving at walking speed.
