SARAH PALIN ENDORSES CHRISTINE O’DONNELL !!

Sep 9th, 2010 by Frank Knotts

I know I am getting this up a little late, damned pesky paying job.

Former Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin, has endorsed Christine O’Donnell to be the GOP nominee for the U.S. Senate from the state of Delaware. Ms. O’Donnell is currently in a heated GOP primary to be held on Sept. 14 th against long time politician and liberal Mike Castle.

This endorsement, that came on the Sean Hannity radio show today is huge for the O’Donnel campaign. In recent days the Castle campaign has done nothing but negative ads. He has been bleeding money that he had hoped to use in the general election against the Democrat. In the past five days I have personally received no less than seven mailers from Mr. Castle. These are large professional mailers. The funny thing is, that they all are exactly the same. They consist of nothing more than a rehash of the Ginger Gibson hit piece from the Wilmington News Journal. This article is quoted numerous times on all of the mailers. Ms. Gibsons by-line is actually visible in one of the mailers. So much for unbiased coverage Ms. Gibson.

Now back to the Sarah Palin  endorsement. I’m sure that the usual party boot lickers and lap dog media types, oh and the gutter snipes, will say that this means nothing. They will say that, ” just wait until Gov. Palin finds out about all of the “BAGGAGE” that Ms. O’Donell is carrying.

Well since Gov. Palin is quite familiar with this type of mud digging, I’m sure that her people have vetted Ms. O’Donnell and investigated the charges being made by the Castle campaign and the Delaware GOP. Let us not forget that Gov. Palin suffered the same sort of treatment, during her run for the Vice Presidency, by the Democrats. And then by the McCain people afterwords. Gov. Palin was charged with everything from misuse of her office, to actually being the grandmother of her own child. Of all of the charges brought against the Governor, none were found to be substantiated.

So, one would assume that the Palin people took a long hard look at Ms. O’Donnell. This could explain the late endorsement. And still the Governor put her seal of approval on the O’Donnell campaign. In my view this should put to rest all of this talk about Ms. O’Donnell’s past financial issues.

Now of course I don’t expect this endorsement to change the minds of the gutter snipes, lap dog media types or the party boot lickers. They fear Gov. Palin for the exact same reasons they fear Christine O’Donnell. But I do encourage those GOP voters out there who have been undecided about the GOP primary, to be decided on Sept 14 th, to consider this endorsement by Gov. Palin as a game changer. Gov. Palin would not risk her own reputation in a primary endorsement, if she were not 100% sure of the person she was endorsing. Let us not forget that she is still considered one of the front-runners for the presidency in 2012.

Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh…I guess we know who real conservatives support.

But, don’t get too excited…Mouse Castle has been endorsed by Lindey Graham and McCain.

“We’re the Mouse-ket-eers (featuring Camera Weenie), and we want to say hel-lo, and give three cheers, to all of you who see us- every day, you’re okay….

    FEC ethics issue

    LOL

you guys are eating your young and cannabalising the party

    keep it up!!

The FEC thing is the State GOP reeling, along with Castle, where two weeks ago she didn’t warrant addressing and now they’re crying to the FEC because he’s about to lose.

Is it an FEC issue, maybe, and they’ll decide but they’re not charges as the Presser would have you believe unless the FEC says they are. Those papers were hand delivered too, not mailed or faxed, not sent by courier, hand delivered.

Eating their young at this point is an understatement.

Speaking of ‘dear,’ does anybody remember that old 50′s song, ‘Speedy Gonzales?’

Something about ‘ lots of roaches on the wall,’ and ‘you better come home Speedy Gon-zal-es….”

    Help me out, Apo.

In this year in which anything is possible, Christine O’Donnell could yet win this primary and even win the general.

That still creates a very strong possibility of Beau Biden being in the Senate in a year. If the FEC does not get her, the Senate Ethics Committee will. Think of the horrible situation it could create for Republicans nationally if it turns out a hard won single vote Senate majority hung on the vote of Christine O’Donnell, and she had to resign? Others have chosen to turn their heads away from this nightmare scenario.

As a principled conservative, I cannot.

Gov. Palin and Hannity may have elected to ignore her Ethiopian-level income (actually I should not insult an Ethiopian in that way) and the fact that she’s living off her campaign donations (Ginger Gibson did not write about this).

As a principled conservative, I cannot.

Ginger Gibson also did not write about the fact that O’Donnell has been cited by the FEC eight times for failure to file basic reports. Hannity and Gov. Palin can ignore that too.

As a principled conservative, I cannot.

Ginger Gibson did not catch that O’Donnell has lied to us about completing her coursework at Farleigh Dickinson (we NJ natives call it Fairleigh Ridiculous, it’s held in such low esteem).

As a principled conservative, I cannot.

Sean Hannity has preached for years on his radio show about the importance of personal responsiblity. How far has he fallen that he can set aside his defining mantra to endorse a candidate with this record?

As a principled conservative, I cannot.

I was willing to believe in her at first. I was willing to defend her on these pages and on my own. But the overwhelming evidence before my eyes, ears…and nose demands better from me. They might call me a “gutter snipe” or “party boot licker.” That’s okay. They will insist I ignore what I see, hear and smell.

As a principled conservative, I cannot.

The words of William F. Buckley, one of the founding fathers of the conservative movement echo here loudest of all. “Vote for the most conservtive candidate that can win.”

As a principled conservative, I must.

That candidate is Mike Castle. I wish that perhaps in a different reality it could be Christine O’Donnell. But on September 9, 2010, it simply is not.

  8. on 10 Sep 2010 at 05:428Frank Knotts

Dear Michael P. Borgia, I mean principled conservative, you sir had better take a look at the mailers your candidate is sending out. Either you are mistaken or Mr. Castle is misrepresenting the role Ginger Gibson played in all of this. I do find it interesting how now, not only do you come to Mr. Castle’s defence, but also that of a person who writes for a newspaper(notice the lack of the use of the word “JOURNALIST”).
I have saved all of the Castle mailers I have received. I am, as I am writing this coment holding and reading from one of them. On it is written,” Paid for by the Castle Campaign Fund. Carl Hostetter, Treasurer.
On this mailer is a photo of the News Journal headline, “O’Donnell faces campaign debt, and tax issues,(sub titled), senate candidate blames others, errors. Ginger Gibsons by-line and The News Journal are clearly visible in the shot. Below this is an arrow box pointing to the right, on the rightside of the mailer is listed under the News Journal header dated March 21, 2010, all of the things you say Ginger Gibson didn’t write about.
So my dear “PRINCIPLED” friend, who is wrong here, you? Ms. Gibson? Or Mike Castle?
I have a second mailer that again list all of the hollow accusations and again The News Journal is listed as source. I have a third one that again list the same tired accusations and once again the source is, that’s right campers, The News Journal, and by the way, all of the source references on all three are from March 21, 2010. So it would seem that the Castle’ campaign is using one article from a clearly biased source to sling mud. Now there my friends is some real principles. Give me a break. And just for the record, I haven’t called anyone a party boot licker.
Also Michael you say,”The words of William F. Buckley, one of the founding fathers of the conservative movement echo here loudest of all. “Vote for the most conservtive candidate that can win.” Well I believe that Buckley backed a few losers.

Why is O’Donell trying to run as a Republican? All of her cyber supporters hate the party, hate the party leaderhship, hate the convention delegates, hate the region chairs and the RD chairs, hate the little old ladies who stuff the envelopes at HQ… so why run as an R? Why isn’t Christine and the true conservative crowd running a the Tea Party or on the Constitution Party Line?

This is the best election year ever! Yes!

Below, a link to one of the best articles on the O’Donnell/Castle campaign I’ve yet to read. It’s entitled “The Ruling Class Hits Christine O’Donnell.”

Mike, let me address the senate ethics committee issue. One there is nothing that would merit any resignation or anything of that nature if every allegation were true in its worse form. Two, the senate has no jurisdiction except over activities after you take office.

No one mentioned the FEC timing issues because they are not as serious as a speeding ticket. They didn’t even issue fines, just a late notice. You are talking mostly about filings when there was no money to report.

Other things are a personal call. I do not criticize you for making a personal decision based upon your principles.

  13. on 10 Sep 2010 at 09:0613Pat Fish

The Blue Blood Ruling Class GOP must have gotten to Michael B.

I’m thinking the new talking point is that, heh, Christine O’Donnell might have to resign as Senator.

I’m thinking that Mark Levin, no slouch when it comes to legal things, might get his Landmark Foundation on the job if they try to fire Christine for daring to beat one of their heros. Anybody thinks such a thing won’t cause major explosions across the political arena…well I got this bridge….

    They’re desperate.

I, as a principled conservative, cannot vote for Mike Castle.

  14. on 10 Sep 2010 at 10:2714StosselFan

If you listen to Palin on Hannity’s show, while true that she says she endorses O’Donnell, I have to say it is one of the least inspiring “endorsements” I have ever heard. She endorses O’Donnell “because she is the conservative in the race.” That’s it.

Meanwhile, Governor DuPont endorsed Castle. He knows both candidates, knows all the facts, etc., and I’ll take DuPont over Palin any day.

O’Donnell can’t win the general election. While diehard Christine supporters and Castle haters may be willing to overlook her many, many troubles telling the truth, etc., I can guarantee you that the voters in the general election (should she make it that far) will not. And, in your heart, you know I’m right.

I laugh when folks like Frank jump all over Ginger Gibson but NEVER refute anything she has reported, or demonstated anything Ginger has written that is not accurate. Shooting the messenger is so last season, Frank… get with the facts!

I, as a principled conservative, cannot vote for Mike Castle.

    Exactly.

  17. on 10 Sep 2010 at 10:5917mynym

    ….get with the facts!

I am but she left out important facts in her life like how much toilet paper she uses. After all, how can we trust her with our money if she has used too much toilet paper in the past?

Creating stories is fun, perhaps I should become a journalist. I think it was Karl Kraus who said that journalists write although they have nothing to say and believe that they have something to say because they write.

    Also apposite:
“They judge, lest they be judged.” –Karl Kraus

  18. on 10 Sep 2010 at 11:1118mynym

Why is O’Donell trying to run as a Republican? All of her cyber supporters hate the party….

Because it’s increasingly obvious that the grand old party has generally become corrupt and is in need of reform. And if she hates the party then why did they apparently have no problem running her as a candidate before?

  19. on 10 Sep 2010 at 13:3119Apo Whichiapi

Rick – you must be smoking whacky-tabacky again

I have no idea what the reference to Speedy Gonzalez and roaches is????

wanna fill me in – maybe its an age or gender disparity – but I never heard the reference before..

  20. on 10 Sep 2010 at 15:3320Frank Knotts

Mark, those of us on this side of the argument have been over that ground. Unlike the Castle legion, we have attempted to stick to the issues and I don’t care to give that line of distraction any new life. The News Journal and its ace reporters are so biased that they refute themselves. In todays News Journal the Palin endorsement was burried in the B section. In a primary that has drawn so much attention and to have such a high profile person as Gov. Palin endorsing a candidate, to be burried in the B section tells you exactly the type of “reporting” you get from the “YOURNAL”.

  21. on 10 Sep 2010 at 17:3721Rick

I have no idea what the reference to Speedy Gonzalez and roaches is????

I’ts a joke, but I’d better wait until after the elections. I’m 58, maybe people my age (or older) know what I mean, and get the campaign connection.

  22. on 10 Sep 2010 at 22:2422Apo Whichiapi

    Frank…
The question was about Ginger Gibson’s reporting…. nice try at a distraction. If you’ve been over it, just link to it!

Her reporting has been accuarate no matter how much you hate the NJ

Mark, if you have been following along you know that this subject has been discussed. Feel free to go back and re-read all of the post and comments. What you and others don’t get, is that the GOP voters who consider themselves conservatives and aslo some of the most visible people and organizations within the conservative movement have looked at this issue and have weighed it against Mike Castle’s voting record and have decided that he is the larger danger to the future of this nation. Now of course there are those who will say that we must support Mike Castle because he is the only Republican who can win in Delaware. Well we will just have to wait and see. When you look at the current political climate among the voters, be they Republican, Democrat or independent, and you look at the issues facing America. It is candidates like Christine O’Donnell that are what the voters want and need. We certainly do not need another second of Mike Castle in office.
Once the primary is over, we will then need to turn our attention towards defeating Chris Coons. And I honestly believe that again, in the current climate of the voters being tired of the higher taxes and bigger government of Pres. Obama, Chris Coons is a liability to the Democrats with his history of higher taxes and bigger governmet.
But Mark if you choose to cling to your defence of Mike Castle and his legion of sycophants like Ginger Gibson, feel free my friend, I myself choose to work for better tomorrow.
