Rosanne Cash endorses Michelle Rollins
Sep 1st, 2010 by Tennessee Walker
In the spirit of celebrity endorsements, Rosanne Cash has endorsed Michelle Rollins. Unlike Pat Boone who hasn’t had a hit in over 50 years, Cash is an accomplished singer AND Songwriter who is still performing today.
“She won a Grammy in 1985 for “I Don’t Know Why You Don’t Want Me,” and has received nine other Grammy nominations. She has had 11 #1 country hit singles, 21 Top 40 country singles and two gold records.”
Rosanne Cash’s critically acclaimed albums for the last 30 years include:
- 1978: Rosanne Cash
- 1979: Right or Wrong
- 1981: Seven Year Ache
- 1982: Somewhere in the Stars
- 1985: Rhythm & Romance
- 1987: King’s Record Shop
- 1990: Interiors
- 1993: The Wheel
- 1996: 10 Song Demo
- 2003: Rules of Travel
- 2006: Black Cadillac
- 2009: The List
Cash is also an accomplished writer and has written several critically acclaimed books including her most recent memoir, Composed.

Looks like this race may come down to where Willie Nelson stands on the two candidates.
Lol.
At least I’ve heard of Pat Boone; and who could forget his big hit, ‘Speedy Gonzales?’
Please, can we stop with the “celebrity” endorsements? I don’t care about Cash or Boone or any of them, and anyone who does should not be allowed to vote. At least the Rollins’ campaign had the good sense not to put out a press release.
Urq is building up an awesome oldies band.
I mean Urq and Rollins are building up an awesome oldies band. Look for a December concert on the beach in Jamaica.
Pat Boone owns his own label which has 30 artists who all sold gold albums under him. He still records and performs today though he does mostly gospel now. He is in the Gospel music hall of fame. He supports a charity which serves pregnant women who need an alternative to abortion.
Cash supports abortion. I guess birds of a feather flock together.

Agreed Stossel Fan, I think celebrity endorsements are pure BS and I only posted this one because of the ridiculous nature of implying that a Pat Boone endorsement means anything.
The Cash endorsement came out months ago and of course this site never touched it. The numerous charities that Rosanne Cash and the Cash family support will not be the subject here. The fact is that Rosanne Cash can still perform and Pat Boone can’t get a gig singing around a camp fire.
One has to wonder what celebrity the Urquhart crowd will drag out of the woodwork. My understanding is Pee Wee Herman is still up for grabs.
Cash? how about Pee Wee Herman for a nice match?
has been’s – supporting soon to be has beens
LOLOLOLOL

So you post BS of a ridiculous nature? Makes sense.
This changes everything.
Or was that nothing.
Damn.
“So you post BS of a ridiculous nature? Makes sense.”
Yes as Rush Limbaugh frequently does, he points out the absurdity of liberals by being absurd. Of course liberals never get his satire and then make fools of themselves by criticizing his satire.
I don’t think celebrity endorsements should impact anyone. I think regular Americans are just as smart as Barbara Streisand (BS) if not more so. For a conservative to make a big deal of an endorsement by Pat Boone, who 99% of America has no clue who he is strikes me as hilarious.
I guess I should have tagged this post as satire because that is how I feel. For someone who states that someone should support a candidate based on their so called positions to resort to celebrity endorsements struck me as funny.
Anyone who is serious about winning in November knows that the Democrats will always find some leftist celebrity to endorse another liberal. As Conservatives we should know that celebrity endorsements are just another way of Liberals to bring unthinking voters on board.
David wants some to be influenced by the endorsement of a singer who has not had a hit in over 50 years.
What happens if John Carney gets a celebrity who has had a hit within the last 5 years?
As educated political consumers we should always say that no celebrity endorsement influences our vote.
“Cash? how about Pee Wee Herman for a nice match?”
Pee Wee Herman is getting ready to endorse Mike Protack. This is a match made in heaven or a movie theater.
Rick: “So you post BS of a ridiculous nature? Makes sense.”
TW: Yes as Rush Limbaugh frequently does, he points out the absurdity of liberals by being absurd. Of course liberals never get his satire and then make fools of themselves by criticizing his satire.
But you didn’t originate this post as satire- to wit, from your own opening paragraph:
TW: Unlike Pat Boone who hasn’t had a hit in over 50 years, Cash is an accomplished singer AND Songwriter who is still performing today.
Satire speaks for itself- it doesn’t need embellishments like your criticism (‘hasn’t had a hit in over 50 years’) of the focus of your ‘satire.’ By boasting about Cash’s ‘accomplishments,’ you obviously were engaged in ‘my artist is bigger than your artist’ braggadocio.
And that isn’t ‘satire.’
Well rick since I have already said that celebrity endorsements are so much BS and you appear to agree with me on that point my opening paragraph is pure satire. Sorry you didn’t get it.
And you don’t ‘get’ satire.
