Cap and Trade is primarily a vehicle for promoting AlGore’s ‘environmental indulgences’. A lot of Wall Street fat-cat hustlers and the politicians they own love the idea. It is also a prescription for economic disaster for most of us.

The 30-some Democrats who must run in districts where a real two-party race is a possibility saw the light and refused to sign on to the environmental snake oil.

The gaggle of Republicans who signed on to the measure may be reconsidering their folly and may have time to make amends. Let them apologize rather than demand that voters simply ‘relax and enjoy it’.

Interestingly enough the “birth certificate” produced and documented by fact check and Chris Matthews is not a birth certificate. It is a certificate of live birth which is different under HI administration. It does not have all of the information that a birth certificate does. It is sort of a short form which does not have to affirmed under penalty of perjury. It is like the man is calculating that he wants to feed this movement.

I don’t see a difference worth fighting over, but others disagree. There may have been a conspiracy planned 47 years ago to take over America by Muslims. Yes, I jest.

The problem is that you only have to affirm that you are eligible. There is legislation introduced to require that you present a birth certificate when you file. It seems sensible regardless of the current distraction.

My feeling is conservatives might use this as “white trash bait” to solidify the base. The birth certificate has been produced, is widely available, so to suggest it be “produced” just feeds the white trash element of the Tea Party contingent.

The birth certificate issue seems to be a diversion that a few think may be a high-yield bombshell. Had there been anything to it, Hillary’s snoops (and they include “Dirty Larry” Potts) would have made good use of it as Dave noted.

While is seems strange that the matter was not ended by simply producing the document, there are two possible explanations. One is that there is something embarrassing (but not disqualifying) about the birth certificate. The other is that the issue will serve as a ‘tar baby’ that will divert attention from more meaningful missteps of the Obama Administration.

annoni, I see no citation in the Delaware Code that requires ANY documentation of ballot qualifications for Presidential or Vice Presidential Candidates. The law requires a nominating petition signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the respective parties which certifies who are the respective Party Nominees but in the case of the National Candidates there are no documentation requirements of citizenship or age etc.

“your group” was generic. I didn’t mean you owned it. I did mean, for ILLUSTRATION, was that if Republicans wanted people to come into the fold, constantly allowing wingnutters to bray into the limelight over and over, especially with points that have long been debunked, will only serve to thwart those who were seriously considering coming into the fold.
