This is really sad. the most important event of the last decade and no comments. its been nearly 30 years since a philly championship. 30 YEARS. Guess what? in 6 months there will be a president. in 6 years there will be a president. But there hasnt been a philly championship in nearly 30 years. Man, people need to get their priorities straight.

Sorry but most of us have been SO hungover from Wednesday night/ Thursday morning that we lacked all energy to write. I still have no voice. haha.

I’m a season ticket holder and put my deposit down for playoff tix when the Fightins were down by 3.5 to the Mets in Sept. Game 1 of the NLDS was best game I’ve ever been to in person with Game 2 of the NLCS a very close second.

Game 5 of the WS here I come.

Precisely why I watched Game 5 of the NLCS and only flipped to the third Obama / McCain debate during the commercials. I know what’s really important (plus it’s not like the debate was going to generate some epiphany where I magically became a McCain supporter…)

Yes, go Phils!!!!! Cole pitched a great game. Madson and Lidge wrapped it up as usual. Utley’s first inning HR was huge!

That said, the Phils are going to have to hit in more runs, since we have only one Cole Hamels. 11 left on base is not good. Especially Howard, Rollins and Burrell need to step up!

Frankly, that game played out like every Cole Hamels start this year. The Phils get up with a lead and ride Cole. Their offense then falls asleep. I believe its a matter of thinking how automatic Cole is when he has even a small lead.

The batters lull themselves to sleep when Cole pitches. If you look at his starts, lots of 2-1, 3-2, 4-3 games. I have every confidence the bats will come alive in some way. Not all at once but someone always steps up. That is the fundamental nature of this team. Remember, without R.Howard’s September we are discussing Eagles v. Falcons and PSU v. OSU instead of the PHILS.
