Party Crasher Christine

Sep 2nd, 2010 by Tennessee Walker

Thanks to “arrogant and condescending” behavior of Christine O’Donnell and her out of state crew of goons, the most recent endorsement by Michelle Malkin may not prove to be the boon the O’Donnellistas expect.

O’Donnell met Malkin at an event for a conservative group called M.O.M.  for America.  Malkin was the Keynote speaker at this event.

The event was put on by Claudia Nelson who worked hard to fund the expenses associated with bringing in a national speaker to such a local event.  I am not going to detail the catalogue of boorish behavior that has already become the Hallmark of Christine O’Donnell.  The documented facts of the O’Donnell party crashings  go on and on.  Instead I will let Claudia Nelson speak for herself.

Here is the REAL Christine O’Donnell…

by Claudia Cracker Nelson on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 7:38am

My group, M.O.M. for America, held an event with keynote speak Michelle Malkin on 8/28. I personally funded most of the expense at a cost to me of $21,000. Here’s my note to Michelle today regarding Christine O’Donnell CRASHING our event!

Michelle, I want to thank you for the terrific job you did at our event the night of August 28th. The message was spot on and everyone was so happy with both your presence and our planning! But…I was a bit dismayed the next day when you didn’t blog about it; instead, you blogged about Christine O’Donnell who–and perhaps you didn’t know this–CRASHED our event, was thrown out no less than 5 times by myself and hotel security, and told that they needed to purchase a ticket to enter. Instead, she entered anyway. Let me just say this–it’s something few know. I PERSONALLY funded most of this event at a cost of $21,000 that I didn’t have…and sold MANY personal items to do so! My group had car washes…bake sales…cashed in cans & bottles…to have you there. We worked our a$$ets off to do this thing because, you see, our ticket sales were very low despite trying for almost 10 months to generate them, and we are REALLY struggling to stay together as an organization. We needed a lot of help–help that came only THAT day when it was too late. What’s more, O’Donnell’s people were told that they either had to: (1) purchase a ticket for a mere $35/person to enter; OR (2) enter and not eat or drink anything. I caught every last one of them doing both. And then you assisted their deception and arrogance by giving them a kindly blog. It almost made me sick to my stomach. Now…I know saying “You can’t eat our food or see Michelle without paying” may seem “petty.” But when the rest of the guests had to, and I was funding it, I feel it was VERY arrogant and condescending for a politician that WE vote for and pay the salary of to enter a PRIVATE EVENT with total disregard for the people who paid for that privilege and with total disregard for the person funding it! THESE ARE NOT THE TYPES OF PEOPLE WE WANT IN OUR GOVERNMENT! THOSE WHO ARE STILL CARRYING THE ARROGANCE OF OTHERS WHO HAVE BEEN IN THE OFFICE FOR DECADES! So Christine O’Donnell got your attention and your blog the next day–instead of those who paid your $15,000 fee: M.O.M. for America.  May I say I’m VERY disappointed in that? Can you see why? God bless,

Claudia

Same thing that she did in many events in 2008 while I was working on her campaign. And she was proud of it!

  2. on 02 Sep 2010 at 11:162Windjammer

    Ms. Nelson
It sounds like you put on a great event.
Myself and many others in Delaware do support Christine O’Donnell and she is precisely the type of person we want to represent us in the US Senate. She is a conservative constitutionalist who believes deeply in America and its greatness.
I’m sorry that you took offense at her gate crashing but she is running against against a republican machine that is backing a liberal for the republican nomination. Mike Castle has voted more liberal than some democrats. He does not represent conservative republicans in Delaware on the issues that are facing our country and its citizens and O’Donnell does. We believe deeply in her platform.
I applaud her for seeking an opportunity to speak to Michelle Malkin. I applaud her aggressiveness and it will serve her well if she is elected.
I really don’t believe Christine meant to offend you or spoil you event but she does need to run an aggressive campaign to beat the power and money of Mike Castle, who has the backing of the top republicans in the state but not the rank and file everyday working conservative republican.
She is aware that every opportunity should be sought out for her to win this primary.

I take a couple of days to spend with my kid and I come back to find all hell has broken loose.

I know how passionate many in this state are to have a conservative champion to support this year. But there is no excuse for what she did, no matter what the underdog circumstances of her campaign. She and her aides should have been able to come up with the $35 per head admission after being rejected by hotel security once, never mind five times. If she can’t come up with a couple of hundred bucks for tickets, she should not be running for Senate.

And shame on Michelle Malkin for not having anything to say about the group that so badly overpaid her.

  4. on 02 Sep 2010 at 11:374anon.

Check out the audio from this morning with Gaffney over http://www.wgmd.com Christine sounded like a complete idiot! It is a must listen to.

nice post, ms o’donnel (or sourrogate)
As one of the evil socialist liberals, i really hope you do win this primary. we need more teabaggers in the national spotlight. The more neo-cons in front of cameras saying what they really think, the faster this phase will burn itself out.
    keep on truckin’!

O’Donnell is an embarassment to any Conservative. I don’t blame liberals for rooting for Christine. Christine is a train wreck and an embarassment to conservatives. The vetting of this train wreck was lacking in 2008.

Dan Gaffney took Christine apart today. More to come.

it makes me feel better about the country’s future that there are still conservatives out there who can admit that…. seriously.
It seems the trend…at least on the national and pundit level, is to stay united and cohesive no matter what vile things are said… because the worst thing any conservative can do is show weakness by admitting any fault by one of their own.

  8. on 02 Sep 2010 at 12:008alpha

I have seen some dumb wingnuts but this takes the cake: selling your worldly possessions and holding bake sales to pay for Michelle Malkin to come to your event.

    Malkin:

If you would like to hire me for a speaking engagement, shoot an e-mail to ***@greatertalent.com. Fair warning: my speaking fee is high. (If you want to know why, read up on opportunity costs.)

This is where Christine wants to be when this is over.

Palin, Malkin, O’Donnell – grifters, all of them.

  9. on 02 Sep 2010 at 12:039Windjammer

I am not Ms. O’Donnell or a surrogate nor am I on her campaign.
I, however am a conservative republican who supports her for the US Senate over the alternative. I wrote that comment without consulting her or asking permission.

    TW
Christine is not an embarrassment to any conservative but your are. As a professed conservative you openly support Mike Castle, the biggest RINO in the US Senate over a true conservative.
You seek out opportunities to attack her an pull what the democrats did to Sarah Palin. If it is not the issues that confront Americans that you are attacking her on, then your attacks must be personal and have no place even on a blog.

  10. on 02 Sep 2010 at 12:1410Windjammer

    Anon
I don’t really care what Gaffney has to say. He’s a hack, because he is a populist and goes for the “Top Dollar.” If Christine were able to pay more that Castle, then he would quickly become a bum on the Gaffney show.
His political favorites change with the person coming up with the most advertising dollars.

  11. on 02 Sep 2010 at 12:1811Badmon3333

I suppose when you only make $5,000 a year, it’s hard to scrape together $35 for a ticket. Maybe O’Donnell should hold a couple bake sales of her own.

  12. on 02 Sep 2010 at 12:2912Tennessee Walker

“it makes me feel better about the country’s future that there are still conservatives out there who can admit that…. seriously.”

a price I have friends of all political stripes and some of us disagree vociferously. After that discussion we decide to talk about McNabb leaving the Eagles and is it a good thing or not.

Bad and boorish behavior should not be condoned by anyone. If we can agree to disagree on issues we can at least do this as politely as possible. We can also agree that certain kinds of polite behavior such as paying your obligations from 2008 and not making up bold lies with no subtantiation are not a good thing.

By the way I have no problem with you calling me a conservative wing nut or me calling you a liberal moonbat. I appreciate political passion and I welcome it. Without passion no one gets off their butt. At the same time emotion and passion can cause us to go over the line in terms of insults to others. This causes some rifts that are needless.

Over the years I have worked with those who do not share my political views. We worked on local issues and we were successful. We still disagree but I know who to call if I need help on certain things.

Violating the standards of behavior regarding common decency is a major reason why Christine O’Donnell is relegated to a crew from out of state running her campaign. She has lost key local people forever.

  13. on 02 Sep 2010 at 12:3113anon

Windjammer – So gatecrashing, not paying for a ticket and not paying for food is considered an “aggressive campaign” Back on Planet Earth, taking something that’s not yours and that you haven’t paid for is called theft.

After this desperate attempt to mooch off of Malkin and the smear attempt by her former spokesman, what is off-limits for you people? Is there anything you won’t consider OK if it’s in the greater cause of defeating Mike Castle? Why not just take out a contract on the guy? Would that be considered aggressive enough for you?

  14. on 02 Sep 2010 at 12:3714jason330

LOL. All I said was that Christine is a weak candidate and Mike Protack would be about to defeat Castle if the Tbagz had made the right choice.

Jeez, you guys can’t stand much heat can you?

  15. on 02 Sep 2010 at 12:4615Tennessee Walker

“I suppose when you only make $5,000 a year, it’s hard to scrape together $35 for a ticket. Maybe O’Donnell should hold a couple bake sales of her own.”

Do you really think Christine would have paid for this out of her own pocket?? No she would have taken the money from the little people. This is what she did down at Yoder’s a year ago when she begged for gas money.

  16. on 02 Sep 2010 at 12:5116ccokie

According to the “Cult of Christine” anything Christine does is okay: lying about her record, not paying her bills, not paying her taxes, stiffing her campaign workers, hiring thugs who physically intimidate anyone with a camera, etc.

  17. on 02 Sep 2010 at 12:5517jason330

We worked our a$$ets off to do this thing because, you see, our ticket sales were very low despite trying for almost 10 months to generate them, and we are REALLY struggling to stay together as an organization.

LMAO! They couldn’t give the Malkin tickets away. Awesome. Must be that EARTHQUAKE someone was talking about.

  18. on 02 Sep 2010 at 13:4918StosselFan

The O’Donnell defenders know no bounds.

    Witness:
“I’m sorry that you took offense at her gate crashing but she is running against against a republican machine that is backing a liberal for the republican nomination.” — how, exactly does the fact that she is running for office in any way justify crashing a private party to which you are not invited, and then, after being asked to leave, refusing to do so. This is boorish behavior at best.

“she is precisely the type of person we want to represent us in the US Senate” — really???? can you imagine??? listen to her meltdown with Dan Gaffney earlier today, and imagine her trying to go toe-to-toe in debate in Washington. It just wouldn’t be pretty; quite frankly, if O’Donnell can’t handle a fairly friendly questioner like Gaffney, she won’t be able to handle politics in Washington. She’s lucky Castle won’t debate her, because it would only make her look even dumber than her interview today with Gaffney. Here’s the link in case you need it:

    Tbagz,

Next time pick Protack. He’d be on the verge of beating Castle right now.

    SF
Nobody said she couldn’t handle Gafney. Oh! that’s right, you just said it. Oh by the way I know Gafney and have had business dealings with him in the past. I was correct, he’s in it for the money and only the money. And he can be a tough interview if he wants to, just like “Rick Jensen up North. Depends on what he thinks he will get on ratings, whether he will do a hatchet job or not.
Yes she is exactly the type of person I want to represent us in Washington. I’m happy that she got the chance to talk to Michelle Malkin but I’m feel bad that Ms. Nelson felt insulted or hurt.
I know how you feel SF, anything to be a great detractor from a conservative candidate.
It’s so great to have you aboard. Things wouldn’t be the same without you.

  24. on 02 Sep 2010 at 16:0524StosselFan

Give it up WJ. If you had a credible, legitimate, honest, intelligent candidate, then we’d all be in a different place, but O’Donnell is none of those things, as demonstrated by her interview alone. She refused to answer questions, talked rudely over Gaffney, and, as far as I can tell, can’t debate her way out of a paper bag.

“she is exactly the type of person I want to represent us in Washington” — let’s see, doesn’t pay her campaign debts, doesn’t have a job, lies about so many things it’s hard to keep track, oh yeah, she’ll be perfect.

“I’m happy that she got the chance to talk to Michelle Malkin but I’m feel bad that Ms. Nelson felt insulted or hurt.” — oh, okay, I guess the ends justify the means here; poor Ms. Nelson was trying to host a private party, but since O’Donnell got to talk to Malkin, that’s okay. Give me a break. You can’t for a moment be serious.

By the way, does she have a college degree or not? She says she paid off her student loans, but I was listening closely, and she never answered the question directly about whether she had actually received her degree or not. Student loans typically are not loans from the college or university itself. Based on non-answer, I am lead to conclude she still doesn’t have the degree.

Did anyone catch O’Donnell on “Your World” on Thursday afternoon?

Unfortunately Neil only had a few precious minutes, with the hurricane and all going on. But he quickly put her back on the ropes as well. Unlike Gaffney, he did not have time for the KO punch.

What is sad is that just about everyone has turned on O’Donnell now, both left and a good chunk of the right. It’s Castle’s fault, it’s Tom Ross’ fault, it’s Dan Gaffney’s fault. God, when will she get it?

So what did happen to the affable Mr. Yates Walker?

  26. on 02 Sep 2010 at 17:2426third party

Gaffney got what he wanted, national exposure. He wanted in on the action and took the opportunity. His show sucks anyway, all he does is infomercials.

  27. on 02 Sep 2010 at 17:3327Windjammer

    SF
I don’t see you running for anything but I do see sitting here on the internet and sniping from relative safety. If you’re so damn intelligent and and perfect, could I see you try to walk on water. When you try, can I bring a camera.
We aren’t giving up anything. Like I said before, don’t count your chickens yet, the eggs haven’t yet begun to hatch.
By the way your best friend, TW must have set you on my butt because he has a little chicken in him. He sure wouldn’t respond himself. “SF, go get that dirty Windjammer, he’s picking on me again.”
Why don’t you become a patriot and put yourself out there for someone who is actually a conservative. I didn’t say she was perfect but with current alleged baggage, she is much better than Castle. You can’t be a total idiot so give yourself a break and let’s get a conservative person in the Senate. A person who won’t vote away our constitutional rights one by one. (Mike Castle, King o da RINOS”)
If he gets in, you’ll be eating a lot of crow when he flips and becomes a democrat, then resigns. The beginning of the new Biden dynasty.

  32. on 02 Sep 2010 at 23:0132cookie

I love Christine’s explanation as to why she won 2 counties in Delaware, oh, excuse me, tied 2 counties in Delaware:

    UNITED STATES SENATOR
    BIDEN JR JOSEPH R. 177,070 37,074 43,395 257,539
    O’DONNELL CHRISTINE 69,491 27,981 43,123 140,595
    Office Total 246,561 65,055 86,518 398,134

Let’s see the numbers in Sussex:
    Biden 50.2 % O’Donnell 49.8%.
Christine O’Donnell claims on Dan Gaffney’s show that she won Sussex County, or at least tied Sussex County.

Oh, and she almost tied Kent County (Christine’s words):
    Biden 57% O’Donnell 43%.

Yes according to Christine losing a county by 1.4 % is actually winning the county and somehow losing a county by 10,000 votes is also a win. Everyone needs to listen to the Gaffney interview to hear for themselves just how deranged and out of touch with reality Christine O’Donnell is.

    WJ,
One can be a conservative and still oppose O’Donnell. No matter what, I expect competance and intelligence and basic common sense in my elected officials. As her interview with Gaffney irrefutedably demonstrates, she lacks all these things and more.
Moreover, as I’ve said many times before, it is control of the Senate that matters, and as national commentators have observed, O’Donnell is toast in a general election.

  39. on 03 Sep 2010 at 06:4139Windjammer

    SF
You got it wrong. It is not control of the Senate that matters, not in this case because nobody but you guys believe that he will vote with the R’s on anything. Why should he, nobody will be able to hold him accountable for any vote and he doesn’t have to come to Delaware to explain anything. He never intends to run for anything again.
Electing him is the same as electing Chris Coons.
This is about the country, and you guys have got it wring and won’t be convinced otherwise. This doesn’t make you any less patriotic, just politically blind to what is happening in the country.
The Tea Party Express is in town and has expressed total support of Christine. I spoke to them last night at the 9-12 Delaware Patriot’s meeting in Millsboro where Christine spoke to two standing ovations. The first, when she started and the second, when she finished.
You and TW need to ditch that liberal old fart and get on the train with a real candidate that will vote with the conservatives every time and read every bill she signs. She spoke about clear ideas to create jobs and called on that “RHINO Backer” Tom Ross to stop slinging mud in desperation. Yes the GOP is getting scared and I wonder what they will do next????

And can’t TW answer for himself, he doesn’t have to be scared of me to discuss the issues.

I have posted this before other places, never got a taker.

O’Donnell supporters – lets say for a moment you are right, and that Castle is a huge RINO. The reality is, any criticism you can make of Castle, you could make of Chris Coons and then some. So essentially, all your arguments against Castle are pointless unless O’Donnell could win the in the general.

So here is my question (and please, answer THIS question, then add whatever you want): Delaware is 48% Democrat, 29% Republican, 23% Independant. A Republican needs 25% of the Dem vote, or 90% of the independants, or 2 to 1 Republican turnout in order to win. Explain to me how O’Donnell can do any of those?

  51. on 03 Sep 2010 at 12:5051jason330

    “Delaware is 48% Democrat,”

    It is Democratic, not Democrat.

  52. on 03 Sep 2010 at 12:5152Rick

If this is true, why didn’t O’Donnell just buy a ticket? I don’t get it.

  53. on 03 Sep 2010 at 12:5353I_am_not_Coons

Interesteing analysis jason…. Either usage is correct, and seeing the box on the voter registartion form says “Democrat” and “Republican”, I chose that usage.

  54. on 03 Sep 2010 at 13:0254jason330

“Either usage is correct” provided you are illiterate.

    To your main point:

These nit wit tbagz are a bunch of petulant children. That is the basic nuts and bolts of the situation.

  55. on 03 Sep 2010 at 13:0555Rick

    It’s Socialist-Democrat Party.

  56. on 03 Sep 2010 at 13:0656jason330

    “It’s Socialist-Democrat Party.”

If only that were the case. *sigh*

  57. on 03 Sep 2010 at 13:0957alpha

Teabagger, or Republican, or Tbagz-Republican. Either usage is correct.

  58. on 03 Sep 2010 at 13:5158jason330

As this become a national story, it just gets worse and worse for O’Wackadoodle. Check this out from The Atlantic:

O’Donnell appears to be short on cash. According to a copy of her latest Federal Election Commission report obtained by The Atlantic, O’Donnell has $20,374 in the bank and owes $9,950.

Here’s a copy of what appears to be her report: O’Donnell pre-primary report.pdf The O’Donnell campaign has not confirmed its veracity.

As Dave Weigel notes, it contains a $549 charge to Mattress Giant.

She could stand the Delaware media scrutiny (because there is none), but not live on Delaware money. Her campaign could live on outside money, but not stand the out of state media attention.

  59. on 03 Sep 2010 at 14:1259I_am_not_Coons

@jason – My usage is correct. To wit:
    dem·o·crat   /ˈdɛməˌkræt/ –noun
    1. an advocate of democracy.
    2. a person who believes in the political or social equality of all people.
    3. ( initial capital letter ) Politics .
    a. a member of the Democratic party.

  60. on 03 Sep 2010 at 14:1860jason330

Doofus, I get that Democrat is a word.

You didn’t use the word correctly. You said “Democrat Party” which is as illiterate as saying “Republic Party.” The very definition that you use to prove your case usses it in the correct form:

    a. a member of the Democratic party.

  61. on 03 Sep 2010 at 15:0761Hube

An illiterate calling someone else “illiterate?”

You can say “Democratic” or “Democrat” Party. Spoiled brats like Trust Fund just get all uppity when you use the latter.

  62. on 03 Sep 2010 at 19:3262I_am_not_Coons

    @jason – No….I said “Delaware is 48% Democrat, 29% Republican, 23% Independant.”
