Our Blue Hens have come home to ….

http://www.delawaresbadhabit.com is the link for a common sense approach for restructuring state government. Senator Colin Bonini points out that if we continued the DuPont Castle budgets the state government would have a 2.1 Billion dollar budget today and not well over 3.2 Billion dollars with a 750 million dollar short fall. We would have a surplus. 16 years of Democrat governors have spent us into difficulty according to Senator Bonini. Here is his idea to get us back on track.
I contacted Senator Bonini, this past Friday. He was thrilled with the response that he has received so far. There seems to be an appetite for the ideas of limited, transparent, and more effective government. He plans to take his case to the people to build a public base to save our state from fiscal decline. He warned about this approaching problem as early as the year 2000 and voted against state budget after state budget. Now our Delaware Blue Hens have come home to roost.

And just what is Bonini’s “case”, David?
Yes David; how dare you expect Perry to follow the link and look at Bonini’s presentation on his own.
I’ll save you some time and eyestrain: It’s just a different wrapper for “end prevailing wage.” Old whine in new bottles.
And without numbers to back up the claims, I’m skeptical of some of the cost savings numbers I see.
Be absolutely skeptical because if he is only half right it wouldn’t be worth investigating that kind of savings. Maybe that is why we are in such a mess. We won’t move off dead center.
Max Power, if you looked at the link yourself, you would see that Bonini announces town meetings but does not give his “case”.
Why can’t he just post his case, so that those of us who do not attend will know what he has in mind?
I mean, after all, we all want more transparency, smaller government and less spending, but how do we get there? What new ideas does Bonini have that Markell is not already working on?
He did. You have to click on the presentation. Sorry if there was any confusion.
