Olympics will Save the Children
Oct 2nd, 2009 by David Anderson
Both Presidents have made personal appeals for their lands and now they are neck and neck. The U. S. had a higher reason than just wanting the games. It wants to help poor underprivileged children.Take that you hard hearted types. You not only hate sick people according to one Congressman, but You don’t support the children and by not supporting the U. S. Olympic bid. Meanies stop picking on the First family.
Mrs. Obama said bringing the Olympics to Chicago is especially important right now because “athletics is becoming more of a fleeting opportunity.” “Funds dry up so it becomes harder for kids to engage in sports, to learn how to swim, to even ride a bike,” she said. In addition, with childhood obesity on the rise, “it is so important for us to raise up the platform of fitness and competition and fair play,” the first lady said.
Finally, having the Olympics in Chicago would be important to “let people know that we understand that sports saves lives, that it makes dreams come true, that it creates visions in kids’ heads to make them think they can be the next David Robinson, the next Barack Obama, the next Nadia Comaneci, the next Oprah Winfrey,” Mrs. Obama said.
For proof of the contention, how many gangland slayings are in Lake Placid or Salt Lake City? The Problem with LA and Mexico City is they need boosters. Too many of the people were born later. The hope and peace of the Olympics is something only evil Michelle Malkin and John Boehner types could oppose.
Oh how I so accurately called the liberal response. That is why I favor letting these people go on and trip themselves up. These good folks are getting so predictable. I do not have a problem with investing Presidential prestige on an Olympic bid, but do we have to reduce everything to being for the children. Let’s be balanced. What about the children of Rio? When was the last Olympics in South America? Never. It has been a generation since an Olympics in the 10/40 window. Don’t brown and black children in the window deserve to dream? We all have televisions so we will be alright. What about the poor developed world? Stop athletic imperialism and back Rio.
I can not wait until they find a way to blame Republicans for Democrat Medicare cuts.

The hard left has run Chicago for years. And look what they’ve done for the children; a ridiculously high teenage murder rate, around 250 school-age shootings (and counting) so far this year, a stunning dropout rate, and the lowest performing schools in America…despite extremely high per-pupil spending.
From the point-of-view of schoolchildren, with friends like Socialist-Democrats, who needs enemies?
Chicago is out. Obama’s favorite city was dead last in the voting. Yet another sign that Obama’s grip on reality is tenuous. Yet another sign that in terms of tangible results in foreign affairs, Obama can’t get the job done.
