Go vote.
Who should you vote for? It Depends what you want. If you want someone who has a proven track record of being an effective lawmaker, you will want Joe Booth. If you want someone who has been stalwart in fighting tax hikes, you want Joe Booth. If you want some one who has consistently voted for our values, you will want Joe Booth. If you want someone who has the respect of peers on both sides of the aisle, you will want Joe Booth. If you want the best shot at sending a message to the establishment that we don’t want tax hikes and continued ignoring of reform of our government, Joe Booth would be a good vehicle for that protest.
I also think there are good reasons to vote for all three of the others. My endorsement of Rep. Booth is not a rejection of anyone else. We allowed all four candidates to bring their message in their own words. Now it is your turn. You have until 8 pm on Monday the third day of August 2009 in the Year of our LORD. Don’t miss out.

I have talked to many in the 19th district and the Matt Opalinski’s campaign approach that Joe Booth is not Conservative enough is insane.
By the way the Opalinski campaign mantra that we need to keep Joe Booth in the House undermines their premise that he is not Conservative enough. If Joe Booth is bad news and not Conservative enough than he should not be in the House or Senate!!! The splitting of the Conservative vote is really bad news in this campaign.
There will be consequences for those who made the decision to torpedo Joe Booth for their own personal feelings and biases. Sadly, not all of these villians will be known to all.
Consequences? Talk like that is why I don’t consider joining the Republican Party. The level of arrogance regarding support from both parties towards their candidates is just disgusting.
This is status quo politics. You better support our guy or else. Well, I will tell you what, when you see the numbers Jones and Opaliski pull today, just remember the attitude you die hard party first Republicans have been espousing the last four weeks and analyze how you could have acted differently to earn the support from within the party instead of demanding it.
The will of the people will shine through today. They will remind both the Wilmington Booth and Mervine pushers that the vote belongs to the people of the district, and not to the party puppetmasters up state.
It is not the fault of the 19th Senate District that the GOP can’t fight back a supermajority. If I remember correctly, all of their House Representatives are Republicans. They did their job. Maybe a swift kick to the nuts on both the Democratic and Republican party machines up north.
Mark my words. Independents will not decide this race, cross party protest voters will.
The will of the people will not be denied.
Calm down, I believe Tenn. was speaking of the consequences of perpetuating a Democratic dynasty for the sake of doing so. I don’t think that they are planning to TP your house or something. I think every vote is important. Cast it wisely.
It is not a waste to vote for one of the 3rd party candidates. It could be a mistake if you are trying to send a message to the ruling party that you don’t want more of the same. If you want to send a purity message to both parties, go for it. I just hope that you understand that you may be missing your best opportunity this year to make a difference in next year’s session. If there were more substantial differences between the 3rd party and GOP candidate, I would agree with you. I am happy that you are engaged. Go vote.
Well I just hope there is a good turn out. I know of a few people that voted and they all went 3rd party. No one I have talked to had any interest in voting for Mrs. Mervine, so I am still hopefull that the results will be favorable.
Sorry about the angry tone. Took it out of context.
Vote for the best candidate, I agree. There will be a substantial protest vote out there, though.
And 4AnonBlondes is proven wrong… big time! ha
