Obama wants ACORN to shape the Agenda

Sep 16th, 2009 by Tennessee Walker

Barack Obama has been a lawyer for the tax fraud advising, criminal behavior condoning, organization ACORN. Obama also taught ACORN employees on how to intimidate banks into issuing loans to individuals who did not have the ability to repay those loans.

In a speech to ACORN community organizers, chaired by the ACORN Housing Executive Director, Barack Obama pledges his fealty to this thug organization.

ACORN Representative to Obama . “If elected president of the United States would you agree in your first 100 days to meet with a delegation of representatives from these various community organizations to campaign for community values. Could they count on you and your first 100 days to sit down with them? ”

Barack Obama says “Yes, But let me even say even before I get inaugurated, during the transition, we’re going to be calling all of you in to help us shape the agenda. We are going to have meetings all across the country with community organizations so you that you have input into shaping the agenda for the next presidency of the United States of America.”

Make no mistake, Barack Obama has many other quotes demonstrating his numerous ties to this criminal condoning organization. Here is the video from the Heartland Conference where Obama spoke.

“In a speech to ACORN community organizers, chaired by the ACORN Housing Executive Director, Barack Obama pledges his fealty to this thug organization.”

This is pure propagandistic clap trap, Tennessee, and you should know better. That you apparently don’t, this places you out on the far fringes of wingnutdom, and even causes one to question your attitude toward promoting a racial divide.

What evidence have you produced to demonstrate that ACORN is a “thug organization”? Answer: None!

I will provide, one more time, a description of the ACORN organization and its activities, especially for Tennessee here: Here, Tennessee, check it out for yourself before you write another word of fictional hyperbole about ACORN!

Since I know Tennessee won’t read my reference, let me post a paragraph that describes ACORN:

ACORN’s priorities have included: better housing and wages for the poor, more community development investment from banks and governments, better public schools, and other social justice issues.[3] ACORN pursues these goals through demonstration, negotiation, lobbying for legislation, and voter participation.[3] ACORN is a non-profit, nonpartisan organization that typically champions liberal and progressive causes. It is made up of numerous legally distinct parts including local non-profits, a national lobbying organization, and the ACORN Housing Corporation.

ACORN has been the subject of public controversy and has been accused of actions including embezzlement, management fights, and voter registration fraud committed by its workers.

So no doubt, “ACORN has been the subject of public controversy”, but does one label the entire organization as a “thug organization” when there are a few who allegedly indulge in criminal behavior?

Of course not, unless one is a thug, of sorts, politically, oneself. Is that you, Tennessee? Unless you produce evidence which condemns the entire ACORN organization, Tennessee, your credibility is zilch to all but the other wingnuts who want to believe anything anti-Obama. This then is indeed pure propaganda, as savage as the worst that emanated from the Communist Soviet Union. Why do you incorporate their tactics, Tennessee?

And David, why do you invite this radical to post on your blog? He does not deserve this opportunity unless he cleans up his act!

BO is just another black shakedown artist, like Jesse Jackson, less the black church patois. A racist himself, BO shares the view of the left in general that the problems condemning black America to inter-generational failure (incomprehensible dropout rates, unwed pregnancy, illegal guns, rampant drug use, ad infinitum, are all the fault of the white man.

Presumably, this includes all of sub-Saharan Africa, too. Gee, look what they gave the world before the white man came, and messed everything up. It’s good to die of appendicitis.

Perry, personally I will admit that the easiest charge to lay against ACORN is gross negligence. It is very unlikely that there will be proof of the CEO of ACORN training employees to help clients illegally evade taxes, or make up false voter registrations. It is also unlikely that they will find proof of the President of ACORN knowingly letting the organization’s employes engage in that behavior. However, it is clear that employee policy and supervision has become so lax at ACORN as to allow a criminal element into an organization that is supposed to improve the community.

I for one am willing to give them the bennefit of the doubt. I think that ACORN can become viable as long as they admit that the corruption is there, clean it out, and subject the organization to a top to bottom independent audit and review. They also need to institute policies and procedures to prevent and, where needed, remove such corruption in the future. I don’t like the ACORN bias towards liberals, but as long as they keep it legit, I can tolerate their existance. Right now they are failing to keep their operations legit.

  5. on 16 Sep 2009 at 18:255Perry

I agree, Tim, ACORN has some cleaning up to do – no question!

The point I was trying to make is that for an organization of 400,000 total, there are only a handful that we know about who are behaving illegally.

They’ve been around for almost 40 years, and have done a lot of good standing up for minority rights.

On the other hand, Tennessee wishes to blast the entire organization, and then to tie Obama into their alleged criminal bahavior. He has presented no evidence for either.

  6. on 16 Sep 2009 at 18:446Timothy Pancoast

“They’ve been around for almost 40 years, and have done a lot of good standing up for minority rights.” – Perry

This is all the more reason why they should have strong safeguards against corruption rather than trying to deny, or downplay it as they originaly did. When you have as sacred a trust as ACORN has been given you have to treat it that way. America’s poor, and needy need ACORN to be a solid institution in good standing that will help them step out of their current state. They don’t need an organization tainted by employees that are willing to aid in the suppression of others.

When I was a young woman I once held a job in Quality Control. It was with the phone company, Western Electric if any remember. I would test 35 phone cords out of a lot size of 2000 to 4000. If just ONE of these phone cords failred a continuity test (there were other tests but not conducting a charge through a cord is pretty bad, literally inoperable) I rejected ALL of the cords in that lot size.

Other products I tested had different lot and sample sizes based on engineer standards/layouts. The “science”, or “mathematics” of statistics is based on something called a parambula and a “mean” and, in short, using the proper sample out of a lot size one could, safely, assume that the failure within the sample size indicated failures in the entire lot size.

In fact, heh, modern day polling is based on the EXACT same mathmatical science…indeed. You’ve all seen the sample size of Gallup polls, Rasmussen, et all. It’s usually somewhere around 1000 people because…drumroll…there really is a science to sample sizes. For years we’ve been predicting political outcomes based on small sample sizes and think about it, they’re rarely wrong or too off.

Thus do not EVER believe, even if that most magnificent wise one, the fine, fine Perry who lies ever word he writes, says that these are just a few bad, ahem, acorns, out of the “lot size”….heh….apply a little proven science to it.

In, so far, FOUR different locations, Baltimore, DC, New York and San Bernadino, everyone of those offices were manned by people who heard, clearly and by our lying ears, that it was OKAY to bring in thirteen year old San Salvadorian girls for prostitution. In the San Bernadino office, this is really revolting, the pimp pretender said that he charges more if the customer want to rough up these young girls.

It’s got to be horrible to be, say, a Perry person, and have to go out in public and have to defend this. He says, obviously with no knowledge of statistics, sample sizes and proven technology, that these are just a few bad guys.

Oh no it’s not. And we all know there’s many more tapes to come.

I couldn’t sleep nights knowing I was defending this and I’ll never how this fine, fine Perry can live with himself.

    I’m at a loss.

Pat you have used logic and statistics to make the case that the video documented criminal behavior of ACORN is widespread throughout ACORN . You will never convince Perry as he only argues from emotion and not facts. The video link I have provided documents Obama’s fealty to Acorn. I have used Obama’s own words and his actual speech to the assembled ACORN faithful demonstrating that he wants ACORN to shape the agenda of his administration. The ultimate blind man Perry can’t see the connection.

You cannot shame leftists like Perry. They will change their position in a heartbeat to advance their leftist agenda. Just one month ago Perry on this very board was apoplectic about out of state people working in Delaware campaigns. In casually hypocritical fashion Perry then did a 180 turn and thought that it was a common occurrence.
The event that caused this huge change. Perry’s candidate, Rob Robinson needed out of state help to be competitive. All of these flipflops from Perry are on these very same pages of this website. Since he is an obvious leftist, he has no shame for his lack of sticking to a position.
Lenin described people in the West who would help the Communist agenda. He called them “Useful Idiots”
By the Way, Perry has no problem with Communists being placed in key policy making positions in the government of the United States. After all he is Perry “What’s wrong with being a Commnist” Hood.

Tennessee, sorry, but you are a radical, a liar and a twister of the truth. However, I have no time now to reply more fully to your utter crap!

  11. on 17 Sep 2009 at 08:5511Rick

“When you have as sacred a trust as ACORN has been given…”

What ‘sacred trust?’ ACORN is nothing but a group of professional parasites who survive by stealing from the productive.

  12. on 17 Sep 2009 at 10:1912Timothy Pancoast

Rick, I am not going to argue about what ACORN has done and what its employees are. That does not negate the fact that a lot of American citizens, and many of the most vulnerable of them, have placed their trust in ACORN. To me the trust of my fellow citizens is sacred. Not to mention the tax dollars that they have received. The American people deserve better than this.

“Tennessee, sorry, but you are a radical, a liar and a twister of the truth. However, I have no time now to reply more fully to your utter crap!”

When I was discussing this venture and seeking advice from a friend who has done some blogging I was told. “As soon as you expose the leftists with the truth for what they really are, you can expect a torrent of personal attacks, name calling and in general juvenile behavior.”
As a typical leftist, Perry you didn’t disappoint.

  14. on 17 Sep 2009 at 13:2014Pat Fish

    Tennessee,

I read your original post and agree with every word. There’s plenty of proof that Obama is tied at the hip with ACORN and in due course Perry will have to try and defend an obvious truth. Hey he defends Communists and child rapists, no problem, so this will be easy for the guy.

I saw Perry ask, calm as a cucumber, what’s wrong with being a Communist. I read the post where the fine, fine honest Perry excoriated a poster for referring to a link quoting the turnout on 9/12 as over two million and in the same sentence, he said without reference one, that the total turnout was 70,000, that being a laughable amount by most anyone. But hey, it was Perry and he gets to make up his own statistics and when statistics don’t suit him, he can call them rogue apples.

Oddly I often see folks on this forum defending this liar and that’s a typical blow-dried, finger-nail polished, reaching-across-the-aisle, suntanned Republican thing. Did Perry, as regards the crowd turnout on 9/12, a)after his complaint of a link to what he considered a bad estimation of the crowd, provide any proof on his silly estimation of 70,000 or b)I dunno, just maybe not say anything to his “friends” across the aisle, to just let the conservatives have a moment to enjoy which was, by even the NY Times estimation, an impressive turnout?

Perry is a typical liberal and be his “friend” as your own risk. Dear Lord he thinks it’s okay to have avowed communists in our goverment and he defends child rapists, all with stupid logic and for no other reason that it’s his party involved in all this.

I saw how he ranted about out-of-state interests then changed his tune when it was his candidate doing the importing. I saw how he lamely argued against another poster’s fine investigation into Robinson’s dumb reason as to why he couldn’t keep ACORN from campaigning for him because he “couldn’t contact them” even though the ACORN headquarters was right around the corner from the Robinson headquarters. That same fine Blogger/poster than proceeded to give ME hell for daring to point out Perry’s change of tune every five minutes, I won’t name her name.

It’s no matter. Republicans…gotta love ‘em. They will stand still and let you pee upon their feet and smile as the pisser tells them it’s raining.

I got eyeballs and I don’t want anyone as my friend when it’s all one way without an ounce of fairness or kindness for my side.

    Silly me.

  15. on 17 Sep 2009 at 14:4515Tim Pancoast

Pat, I’ll stick up for Perry on occasion, and he has done me the same favor. This does not mean we agree with each other, even on those occasions.

I tend to hang out with right wing “radicals” at rallies and protests. I am not a country club Republican, but I have no problem talking to them or to liberals so long as we can each acknowledge one another as fellow citizens.

  16. on 17 Sep 2009 at 15:3116Pat Fish

Tim….all I did was point out how many times I have caught Perry being a two-faced liar. It’s a shame because I’ve read plenty that you’ve written and always considered it fair and evenly balanced. It’s never that way with Perry.

Perry is like liberals across the fruited plains. It’s never about fairness, truth or what’s best for this country.

“Stick up for him” all you want. Given the first chance you endanger his cause or bastion of power, he’ll chop your head off.

And I really don’t get that “right wing radical” remark, coming out of nowhere and based on nothing.

I stated my case and I stand by it. Sorry if it makes you uncomfortable.
