Obama Speaks At The National Women’s Law Center Awards banquet.

While at a pro-abortion dinner at The National Women’s Law Center Awards Banquet, Obama spoke before 2000 people in defense of taxpayer funded abortions. He bashed Republican lawmakers for their efforts to deny federal funding to the Planned Parent Organization. Planned Parenthood is responsible for more aborted fetus’ than any other organization in the United States.
“Instead of figuring out how to put more Americans back to work, they’ve been trying to figure out how to take away preventive care that is covered under the Affordable Care Act,” said Obama, in an attempt to defend his position. Instead of making life easier for women in this country, they want to let insurance companies go back to charging higher prices just because you’re a woman. Instead of working to boost our economy, they’re out there spending time trying to defund Planned ParentHood and prevent millions of women from getting basic health care that they desperately need, pap smears and breast exams.
Not true Obama, nobody objects to women getting general care like pap smears, breast exams and other tests that women must receive to maintain their health. It is the millions of abortions that are performed on viable fetus’ that the American People object to. Once again, Obama makes a clearly populist speech to a friendly audience and leaves out the REAL FACTS. Last Month, House members voted 251 – 172 for pro-life legislation (The Protect Life Act) with 236 Republicans and 15 Democrats supporting the bill and 170 democrats and two Republicans voting against it. According to Lifenews.com, H.R. 358, Protect Life Act, makes it clear that no funds authorized or appropriated by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), including tax credits and cost-sharing reductions, may be used to pay for abortion or abortion coverage. It specifies that individual people or state or local governments must purchase a separate elective abortion rider or insurance coverage that includes elective abortion but only as long as that is done with private funds and not monies authorized by Obamacare. Last February, the House voted overwhelmingly to scrap funding for the Planned Parenthood abortion business and to ensure , they receive no federal funds through any department or programs. The House approved the Pence Amendment on a 240 – 185 vote with 10 Democrats voting with republicans to de-fund the abortion business. The Senate rejected the bill on a 44-56 vote. This is another Obama campaign lie. The President never meant to keep his campaign promise to not use taxpayers money to fund abortion. Either he won’t keep his word or he can’t because he refuses to further alienate his far left base.

  1. Agreed, not just their rights before birth but afterwards as well. As a nation, we have a somewhat spotted record on child welfare. I would hope that most everyone could adopt the principle that preventing unwanted pregnancy is of paramount importance and should be a central focus of both pro and anti abortion advocacy.

“It’s not a baby. You can keep calling it one and it still won’t be one, because it still can’t survive outside the uterus.”

We’ll call it a baby if we please and we do please. You can play all the semantics you want. What is being done in America by aborting BABIES, is serial infanticide and centuries down the road that is how it well be viewed. You can justify and rationalized this infanticide all you want by substituting words and juggling semantics but it is still serial infanticide.

  3. PP is merely adhering to the tenets of their founder, the eugenicist Margaret Sanger, who believed that society should be cleansed of ‘underirables’ by way of abortion. Noting the appalling abortion rate in the inner-city African-American community, I guess we know where the most vociferous pro-abortion advocates (‘liberals’) really stand. Paradoxically, the subjects of the experiment seem intent on keeping the practicioners in office.

  4. David: You’re right, it’s not a legal or medical term. It’s too inexact for that. Yet common usage for centuries has meant a human infant — not an unborn human. Your movement continues to refer to the unborn as “babies” because you seek to move the discussion to emotional rather than rational ground. I’m trying to prevent that. When it comes to word definitions, I’m the conservative, and you so-called conservatives are the radicals.

Don: Yes, I know you’ll keep calling them babies. And you’ll continue to be wrong. You, not I, are the one twisting the words to conform to your bias.

“Noting the appalling abortion rate in the inner-city African-American community, I guess we know where the most vociferous pro-abortion advocates (‘liberals’) really stand.”

Guilt by association again. See, it’s your favorite weapon, because your intellectual development isn’t much further along than a baby’s.

After reading the story and viewing the images, this story is a powerful one. It is an example of brutal police power in the face of circumstances that do not warrant their use of such aggressive power.
The officer should be removed from duty and criminally charged for his actions.
I fear that the misuse of police power will only increase.
