Now What

You got a runoff. Iran can do what it wants and we don’t care, but we will sacrifice our own security and that of the western world if Afghanistan does not shape up. Why we did not say something to them when we saw this coming 6 months ago is puzzling. It is almost like the Ambassador’s wink to Saddam before the invasion of Kuwait.
I am glad the runoff is being held. I am not happy that it was delayed and then scheduled in a snap election fashion in a nation that does not even have adequate roads. It seems like he is trying to catch the opposition off guard. I hope that it goes well because we need to get back to business and the people need protection not from those who have plurality support, but those who have very little support but bombs, guns, and a radical ideology of repression. We need to keep perspective.

Do we plan to stay in Afghanistan and Iraq forever? No? What will happen when we leave? Face it, we are on a fool’s errand.
We need a ‘wheel of misfortune,’ with every major Muslim city on it. We announce to the world that if any Americans are killed on any US territory, then the wheel will be spun, and the lucky winner will be carpet-bombed. This will force the Arab world to police their own damned hell-holes. I’m sick and tired of this ‘you can’t kill innocent civilians’ crap. The Muslim’s certainly don’t believe it. Remember Berlin, Dresden, Tokyo et. al.? Nothing works quite as well as a good, old fashioned annihilation.
Sound cruel? Not really- in the long run, lives will be saved.
