I have been using the term ‘Socialist-Democrat Party’ (ask Perry), for years. What I find to be hilarious is how fast Socialists run from the label ‘Socialist.’ If the shoe fits, wear it.

There are better ways to get the point across. This is definately a misstep by the party leadership. We know that they are socialist , we can compare their policies to socialist governments of the past. We can demonstrate how those policies lead directly to the downfall of the USSR. But to call a double secret emergency meeting to make official what so many allready know seems redundant.
I would add to Daves list , how does this save a singal life ?

It ain’t liable if it is true. It isn’t stupid if it is true. I don’t see the value in this rush, but it does get people talking and saying why. When they do, they have to answer because the Democrats are engineering a government takeover of the economy sector by sector. That is a debate I am willing to have even if it has to start in a ham handed way.

I think it is time to cut off the Republican Party’s head. We don’t need leadership like that.

Everyone knows that the Democrat party is going socialist. The ones that care have been unable to stop it and the ones that don’t won’t change their minds due to a gimmick like this. This is at best a lame provocation on the RNC leadership’s part. We don’t need ineffectual people like that directing the party.

While I will give Steele some credit for being more level headed on this one he has been just as juvenile in other instances.

This is becoming extremely painful to watch. I can’t even imagine all the coverage the “special” (read: emergency! This can’t wait until July because it’s soooo important we must act immediately!) session will generate. Pathetic and embarrassing.
