Non Citizen Vote
May 19th, 2010 by David Anderson
San Francisco is getting interesting. They want to allow non-citizens to vote in what we call school board elections (board of education).
Where public policy meets common sense

You have a virtual non citizen running for Congress in Delaware and you don’t seem to mind that.

Yet another “cute quip” by Trust Fund which avoids the issue.
Yet another swipe at Jason’s trust fund from jealousy-addled Hube.
Yet another classless supporting comment of a classless individual from yet another classless punk.
Simple question, Hube: Why are you so obsessed with Jason’s trust fund? Can’t answer it?
I merely respond in kind to his “cutesy quips.” Irrelevant nonsense, if you will. It’s what he understands.
Don’t like it? Tough toenails.
Except that your name for him never varies. What do you have against trust funds?
In the general sense, nothing. When you perpetually act like a complete jerk on top of never having worked a day in your life, that’s a different story.
David: There is legal precedent for this, believe it or not. But it’s only been permitted on the local level, like school boards.
Oh good, another chance for the tea people to get the Constitution wrong.
We have a plausibly non-citizen President who has spent upwards of $2 million dollars hiding his documents…but Jason330, his lib-tard cohorts and our media don’t seem to mind.
Oh good, another chance for the tea people to get the Constitution wrong.
The problem is, it’s not that concise. While the Constitution does grant to the states an individual’s eligibility to vote, 1993′s National Voter Registration Act “requires individuals registering to vote to affirm eligibility requirements, including citizenship.” Also, US Code § 1015(f) “criminalizes making a false statement or claim about citizenship ‘in order to register to vote or to vote in any Federal, State, or local election.’”
I do believe it, Hube. I am intrigued with this idea being applied to a sanctuary city. San Fran makes no distinction between documented and undocumented immigrants.
It is a state issue. That is why San Fran is wrong. If applied to Federal Elections that would be wrong as well. The Federal government does have the absolute right to insure that only citizens vote because the Constitution gives that right only to citizens.
Amendment 26 – Voting Age Set to 18 Years. Ratified 7/1/1971.
1. The right of citizens of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older, to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of age.
2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Indeed. I’d like to see a challenge to laws like San Fran’s and that of other localities.
What leads you to conclude he has never worked a day in his life? And why would you resent that? You support a political party that actually approves of taxing people more on the money they earn themselves than on the money earned for them by others.
anon, don’t bother. He is demented and his crazy ass take on my livelihood is so far off the mark that it is hilarious.
Demented and being off the mark are your trademarks, Trust Fund. No go work on your little podcast. Making fun of who, this time — kids with terminal cancer? (They must be Republicans, of course.) Soldiers missing limbs?
Be careful or he might mock those who are jealous of people with trust funds.
That’s fine. It’d definitely be a [big] step up.
I’m sure you’ve no problem with his last “podcast,” eh, anon? It was a paragon of “class.”
Didn’t watch it. Who has the time?
20 minutes yo. How long is your commute?
Back to the issue. Did you read the Constitution yet. I thought posting one part may help. Even liberals understand the word citizen. You can also check the 14th amendment. This is an understood principle in federal and state elections. I am not concerned about school board (board of education) elections because they are not policy offices. You typically do not need to be registered to vote in school board races. I am concerned about the agenda behind it in a city that protects illegals. It seems gamed to establish precedent and undermine the concept of citizenship.
Try discussing the issue. Are my liberal friends capable of it?
Undermining the concept of citizenship is way down on the liberal “to do” list.
After we collect all the guns, bring back the 70% tax bracket, set up the free abortion clinics in the schools, and make interracial gay marriage compulsory, maybe then we’ll get to the “one world government” stuff.
You’re wasting your breath with T.F., David.
I don’t care about anyone’s income and I don’t have the burden of a legal education (not a lawyer) but who is the virtual non citizen for Congress?
Mike Protack
“anon, don’t bother. He is demented and his crazy ass take on my livelihood is so far off the mark that it is hilarious.”
So what is your livelihood Jason? I don’t know you and I don’t know Hube. He claims you don’t work for a living. Can you give some specifics so we can judge for ourselves?
tidbit – Delaware allows property owners to vote in school district tax referendums. This means Corporations, non-residents and even non-citizens can vote.
You have a virtual non citizen running for Congress in Delaware……idiot
Who? Do you understand the definition of ‘virtual?’
If citizens had to demonstrate literacy before being allowed to vote, the Socialist-Democrat Party would lose 50% of their constituency.
