Does anyone else think the “Savior” should take care of his own backyard first, before professing to know how to handle the rest of the country? Why doesn’t he use his community organizing skills to have a forum to discuss how to stop the violence. He is supposed to be the biggest voice in America, yet he sits silent while his own constituents kill each other in an unprecedented fashion. Is this leadership?
South Side. How many times did we hear that last week? South Side. Keep those words in mind when your listening to Obama and ask yourself if you share the same level of tolerance for violence that he seems to ignore is happening in his own backyard.
Remember that in Chicago, it is often difficult to tell the politicians from the mobsters. Few may know that when Alphonse Capone urged his people to ‘vote early and often’ he was doing so as a ‘Republican activist’ with the crooked Big Bill Thompson in his pocket. After the violent ‘pineapple primary’, crooked Democrat Anton Cermak was elected mayor. With his ties to a rival mob, the heir to Capone was arrested and shot while in police custody. Unfortunately for Cermak, the mobster survived. Cermak took a lengthy ‘vacation’ to Florida but could not escape ‘mob justice’. He was whacked by an alleged ‘anarchist’ while next to FDR. The shooter happened to be registered as a Republican and seems to have proved that they shoot straighter than Dems.
Cermaks son in law was Otto Kerner was elected Governor of Illinois and was made a Federal Judge by LBJ. Kerner’s crooked past caught up with him and it was off to the Big House. He got an early out because of advanced cancer and soon died.
One reason for rigging Cook County elections was to assure that the benches would be filled with the finest judges money could buy. A mass bench-clearing occurred as a result of Operation Greylord, an investigation with some humorous aspects.
Chicago is a thug-friendly locale and when pressure is on the pols, they pretend to show concern by passing more ‘victim disarmament’ laws while doing nothing against the interests of career criminals. Obama and Governor Blago are of this mold.

You’re right, this is Obama’s problem, not THE CHICAGO PD’S. Spare me. This is like asking why McCain hasn’t single-handedly sealed the border between Arizona and Mexico.
