More Lies
Nov 28th, 2009 by Frank Knotts
Even with the “Climate Gate ” e-mails that have exposed the out-and-out lies of the left’s agenda when it comes to global climate change, Pres. Obama still intends to attend the Copenhagen climate summit. Where it is reported by Whitehouse sources that the President will personally commit the United States to reducing its carbon emissions by seventeen percent in the next decade and by eighty percent by mid-century.
The President does this even though every estimate of any attempt to reduce carbon output shows that it will substantially raise the cost of energy. The CBO has released a number of $173.00 increase a year for a family of four, though common sense tells us the number would be higher. That $173.00 is only on energy. If you raise the cost of energy , you raise the cost of manufacturing and transportation, so everything that a family buys will cost more . From food to cloths to recreation. This sort of commitment is actually another Obama attack on the free market system. And we are not surprised to hear the President say that there will be a health care savings by reducing CO2 that is a trade-off for the higher cost of everything else.
Now let us think about what the president is proposing. He says we can reduce our CO2 emissions 17% in ten years, or by 2020. We will then reduce our emissions another 63% in thirty years or 2050, that’s 21% every ten years. So if the President waves his magic carbon free wand and can actually meet these goals and the nation continues on the path of reduction , then we would be completely carbon neutral by 2070.
Does that sound realistic to anyone, that a nation our size can become carbon neutral in sixty years? Of course the Presidents estimate requires that there be zero progress and zero expansion, zero growth and zero population increase. Again does this sound realistic ?
This President is concerned only with his own image and cares not for the welfare of the people of this nation or the world. He is interested only in making himself seem compassionate. But all of his policies and agendas do nothing but burden the American people with higher cost of every aspect of their lives, be it health care, or energy , or every product that they purchase.
Oh did I mention that the President was stopping in Copenhagen to make this commitment at the climate summit on his way to Oslo to accept the Nobel Peace Prize ? Well won’t that just make him the bright boy when he shows up to accept the NPP from his leftist buddies.

Notice that most of the proposals don’t kick in until 2013. It can’t be that much of a crisis.
The importance of this does not lie in climate change or global warming, but in the United States’ ceding of soveignty to foreign powers. The true purpose of global warming propaganda is not to collect additional taxes, although that is a side effect; it is, rather, to support the concept that global problems require a global form of government.
Chris , I would agree. But there are two global agendas at play here. The one you mention, and the one that positions Pres. Obama as a global leader. Not just as president of the U.S. but as someone who could solve the worlds problems if put in charge. Never under-estimate this man’s ego.
Michael Mann first of climate change scientists to be investigated

The fallout from the Climategate event continues as one of its primary participants, Dr. Michael Mann, is to be investigated by his employer, Penn State University. Among the more than one thousand emails released on the Internet, Mann featured prominently in many of them oftentimes making rather controversial comments. Mann serves as the director of the Earth System Science Center at Penn State and has long been one of the more controversial figures in the debate about manmade climate change. He is the author of the infamous ‘hockey stick’ graph which was used by Al Gore in “An Inconvenient Truth”…
Willis Eschenbach has a guest post up on Watts Up With That that is VERY significant.
http://wattsupwiththat.com/2009/11/29/when-results-go-bad/
He found e-mail correspondence between Phil Jones and Professor Wibjorn Karlen.
Professor Karlen plotted historical temperature data from the Nordic region, available from a source other than CRU, and compared that to the temperature plots for the same region produced by the IPCC, based on CRU data.
Karlen could not find the same extent of late 20th century warming as the IPCC, and asked Jones about it. Jones just blew him off.
Karlen extended his investigations to other parts of the world, and found the same thing in each case – that the temperatures reported by the IPCC were exaggerated when compared to temperature reported by other sources – national and regional organizations. Jones blew him off again.
It seems inescapable that CRU’s depradations include faking the temperature record to show warming higher than it really is.
On further investigation, Eschenbach also found that the CRU datasets include stations in major cities around the world, which builds in the Urban Heat Island effect to bias the temperatures upward.
This another hammer blow, and is likely to be replicated as other similar discoveries are made.
For example, in the GHCN (Global Historical Climate Network) temperature record, the number of reporting stations has been reduced from approximately 6,000 to approximately 1,000. http://chiefio.wordpress.com/2009/11/03/ghcn-the-global-analysis/ The effect of dropping the stations is that the remaining stations show dramatic warming in the Northern Hemisphere. If the missing NH stations are included, there is no warming. http://chiefio.wordpress.com/2009/10/18/the-northern-hemisphere-what-warming/
“controversial statements”=LIES !!!!!!!! These people have put our economic system on a path of destruction simply to further their careers and to ensure future funding for their lies .

The ‘greens’ are pinks…only a sucker would fall for their nonsense. Of course, ‘liberals’ are suckers. It’s sort of like what G.K. Chesterton said about non-believers; “they don’t believe in nothing; they believe in anything.”
