March Madness Political Style round one
Mar 2nd, 2010 by David Anderson
UPDATE: Senator Kaye Bailey Hutchison concedes. Perry may avoid runoff.
Who will win the Texas Governor’s primary? Your predictions please.
My question is will Perry have a run off or not. I think he wins and in a run off he is set. Medina’s votes go to him not Bailey and Bailey’s voters would rather see him than Medina. Who ever thought Rick Perry would be the guy in the political center?

The question is, why is the ‘Tea Party’ supporting a candidate against one of the most conservative governors in the country?
Perry will have a tough fight in the general election. Tea Party’ers would do well to save their energy for that fight.
Eh the “TEA Partiers” aren’t supporting her…the TRUTHERS are.
Perry wins…Texans are crazy but they ain’t stupid.
Rick Perry wins.
Perry will sail to reelection. He leads all comers by double digits. He is above a majority in the polls of all Texans. The only Democrat who gives him a race is Mayor Kirk of Dallas who is 12 or more points back. The real election may well be the primary where two of the most beloved pols in the state are running.
Jason, I repeat-
The question is, why is the ‘Tea Party’ supporting a candidate against one of the most conservative governors in the country?
I can see going after a guy like Castle, but Perry? It might have worked out in TX (by 1 percentage point) this time, but it might not elsewhere.
Rick,
Once again I’m telling you that the supporters of Medina were by and large 9-11 TRUTHERS who were hijacking the TEA PARTY name…Perry won…he’ll be reelected Gov. and Texas will again be a saved republic.
