Lou Dobbs For Senate???
Nov 16th, 2009 by Tennessee Walker
There is speculation that recent CNN anchor Lou dobbs would consider a run for the U.S. Senate In New Jersey. Dobbs self describes himself as a “Rockefeller Republican” which does not warm the cockles of my heart. However, he was a fierce opponent of the amnesty bill of the Bush administration and he has been solidly conservative on fiscal matters. His stands took courage when being employed by the left of liberal CNN News. This article mentions him as an opponent Robert Menendez in 2012 and the prospect is tantalizing. The unpopularity of Chris Dodd in Connecticut, a potential win in Delaware and a pick up in New Jersey could get the GOP going in the Northeast and Mid Atlantic chipping away at the Democrat base. I think the GOP has an outside chance of taking back the House in 2010. Gains will be needed in the Senate for confirmations for the next Republican President in 2012.

Now that would be a battle royal.
The Dems will be an endangered speciies in ‘10, except in very liberal districts. I think, at least at this stage, that Dodd is toast in Connecticut- mainly because of his sweetheart mortgage deals from Countrywide. People are not so dumb as to fall for his ‘I had no idea’ nonsense.
