Do you really not understand that the global market crisis – bailout and subsequent continuing meltdown were all created because of laxity in oversight on what Wall Street is doing with risk on consumer portfolios and that these high risk credit insurance swap practices have yet to be remedied?
Kaufman’s legislation is offering remedy so we don’t go through this again. Hardly socialistic. Capitalism is not a blank slate to run amok with other people’s money!
No, I don’t. I believe it is a lot more complicated than that and the proposed solution will just make us less competitive globally. I am not alone.
