Supreme Court nominee Kagan opposed a ban on partial birth abortion. She however signed on to a compromise which allowed a physical health exception after viability and urged President Clinton to sign on to it. It is considered worrisome by the abortion caucus of Democrat party. The fact the woman is not insanely for abortion by any means for any measure during viability as a political position is viewed as suspect. She didn’t want her party to get wiped out electorally. If there was any doubt how extreme the Democratic party left is, let it be gone as of now.

Leftist supporters of abortion on demand will not brook any restrictions on abortion whatever. They uphold the absolute right of women to terminate pregancies throughout the entire nine months of gestation.
A bill in the Georgia legislature which would have prohibited sex selected abortions or abortions based on racial preference was defeated by the intense lobbying of pro-abortion feminists. This means that if a woman openly gives her reason for aborting her baby as not wanting a girl or a racially mixed baby, she still may have the abortion.
The U.S. continues to have the most draconian abortion laws in the entire Western world.

Partial list of Western countries allowing abortion “on demand, no reason need be given”: Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden. Sounds like we’re only tied for the worst.
