Jim McGinnis

I didn’t know Lt. Governor Jim McGinnis well because his era in politics was before mine, but I knew him well enough to have a profound respect for him.
The man was loyal to his party, but he didn’t let that get in the way of the important principles which govern our lives. Some of today’s new majority would do well to take a lesson from him.
Jim McGinnis understood the economy and small business. He stood for common sense. He cared about fiscal responsibility. I first became aquainted with
him because of his support to Delaware Right to Life PAC. He was a devote Christian in the Catholic tradition. He was my kind of Democrat.
He reminded me of the best of public service and my thoughts and prayers go out to my friend Phil, his widow Mrs. Mary Jane McGinnis, and the rest of the family (who I do not have the priviledge of knowing).
The good ones can never live long enough.
