Jan Brewer takes on the Regime
May 21st, 2010 by David Anderson
Governor Jan Brewer calls it frustrating that no one in the administration has responded to her pleas for help. They need to do their job, she stated. They are too busy talking about it to help. They have done zero, zip, nothing. We have a right to feel secure in Arizona. A nation without borders is like a house without walls. It collapses. See the rest of the interview.

Jan Brewer for President! Or at least Director of Homeland Security.
My guess is that the Arizona law will be repealed . There will be a back room deal where the Federal government will threaten Arizona with all kinds of financial penalties. Along with the threats, the administration will promise to enforce immigration laws more thoroughly than they do now.
The Obama administration will come out looking like the good guy on this one . Arizona will sell out.
Like what, current law allows local law enforcement to report people they find who are illegal in the course of their work. The only difference is this law mandates that they do.
I was very concerned about this law from media reports. It seemed draconian and extreme. Then I read it.
Unlike the administration, I read the law before commenting upon it.
Gov. Jan Brewer won’t budge on this law because she knows that her entire political future is tied to it. The only way she would budge is if she is given cover by the court or congress over ruling it. The opponents have made too much of the law for there to be any room for AZ to back off. The truth is they shouldn’t. We don’t need comprehensive reform. We need mild reform combined with real enforcement of existing law. Clear the backlog by increasing the numbers allowed legally. Make illegals get back in the shorten line to get legal documents. You can’t just jump the line over people who do it right.
if we give in to the call for “comprehensive reform” we are just rewarding chaos over law and order.
Arizonians are the enemy, not the hoards of criminal Mexican invaders.
