Republicans propose limiting the size of government to balance the budget. The difference between the party of government and the party of the people couldn’t be clearer.

A Taxpayer Bill of Rights is the answer. No budget growth beyond inflation and population growth.

I will never understand why anyone (except a political ideologue) would want big-government. Why?
They will say ‘well, the government is freely elected- what’s the problem?’
Well, the permanent bureaucracy isn’t ‘freely elected.’ And, unregulated (in violation of Art. I. Sec. 8.), government must expand- indefinitely. For when will politicians say ‘ok, we’ve done enough. No more programs, regulations or spending frenzies?’
Read Article I., Sec. 8., of the US Constitution; then read the last four paragraphs of Madison’s Federalist #41. The root of our problem will be clear to you; an unconstitutionally large and fiscally irresponsible government.
As a side-note, the 10-year projected federal debt will be about $10-trillion, $5.6 of that is interest!
As I have been saying for two years, look for BO and the Socialist-Democrats to find some way to grab your IRA’s, 401k’s, etc. Of course, it will be ‘for your own good.’ Meanwhile, your real investment money will be used by Congress and replaced by IOU’s, like Social ‘Security.’ Isn’t that easy? Isn’t that ‘fair?’
Watch and learn. These Marxist bastards must be stopped!

Um, the capitalists already grabbed the first half under Bush and are sniffing around for more. I’d rather take my chances with Obama.
