Senator Lieberman won’t rule out running as a Republican. I personally hope that he does not, but just the thought has to be sending fits in the leftist community.

I agree on both counts. I’d rather see Senator Lieberman remain independent. I also recognize that he will only be successfull as a Republican candidate if the GOP leaves a void, which they seem to be doing all to often.
Lieberman should be an Independent. I personally would like to see more politicians go that way…my problem with Lieberman is he is a political wind seeker which means he’s not an Independent because he has convictions, but because he knows he holds a TON of power as THE vote…to stop or to pass bills.
