How Democrats Waste Our Money Part 263
Oct 20th, 2009 by David Anderson
Kent County Democrats seem more interested int control than saving the taxpayer’s money. Even the state agrees the a county/city library joint venture makes sense. This idea was pushed publicly by yours truly and with money and resources tighter than ever, the wisdom of it has become apparent to city of Dover leaders, the state, and many citizens. The new era is one of cooperation and collaboration instead of fiefdoms. Or at least it should be.
County leaders refuse to cooperate with combining resources to provide a regional hub library and satellite libraries throughout the county. I thought that an appeal from the state would open their eyes. It did not. They are determined to have complete control no matter the cost. Why? Who do they want owing them for jobs?
The Democrat mantra in Washington is more debt, more control, and higher taxes. It appears our Kent County Democrats have taken notes. Say what you will the county is still living off of the low debt, low tax, surplus generating policies of the Republicans, but not for much longer after they squander tens of millions.
