Happy Birthday America

The 234th anniversary of the founding of this country is something special. I love America as do all of you. I love the freedom to find one’s own path in faith, jobs, family, and fun. In many parts of the world, these areas are dictated by government. There is no class restriction in America. You can be born rich become broke like the Hunt brothers. You can be born poor and become rich like many of our tech tycoons. Moving into the middle class is relatively easy through education and work. It truly is a dream nation. It is the land of opportunity not guarantees.
America is constantly changing and adapting. This is why I called it a birthday. It seems like America Has a living dynamism that few other places do. It is strong because it is founded upon immovable principles. The Declaration and the Constitution along with the Bill of Rights and the Civil Rights Amendments have formed a four part foundation which has kept this country from falling even in its greatest trials. Our national loyalty to GOD and our understanding that even government must submit to Him gave us limited government. Our rights are inherent to us according to our Creator. Government exists to protect those rights not abolish them.
Many doubted that a nation founded upon those principles would survive. The fact is it flourished and became a beacon of freedom for the world.
This Independence day is a time of reflection. Let us rededicate ourselves to the proposition that this Nation, under GOD, shall have a new birth of freedom as Lincoln said in his day. We did and freedom overcame fear and prejudice. We can now and overcome the self doubt, foreign terrorism, and economic turmoil of our day. The last century may have been the American Century, but I believe that is just the beginning. America’s best days are ahead. May GOD continue to make His face shine upon us and may we submit to His wisdom by valuing each of His children.

It seems like a simple concept, the notion that freedom is an inalienable right granted us by our creator.
And yet across the planet, people are born essentially enslaved. If one is born in Saudi Arabia, you will live under religious police, protectors of the public righteousness, who will demand you change clothes if incorrect or will perhaps allow young woman to die a horrific fiery death that they not enter the public without a veil.
In Africa, babies are born to die of diseases which have long since been conquered by modern medicine and yet their leaders like it this way, it keeps foreign money coming in.
Cubans have not had their rightful choice to use their beautiful island as the amazing tourist destination that it could be all because a lifetime appointed dictator deems it so.
I love this wonderful country with all my heart and know that if I ain’t ever had a break in my life…I was born an American.
Hang in there, we’ll get through this Obamanation. We need this sort of thing every twenty years or so to remind us how easy it could be to lose it all.
We survived Jimmy Carter; we’ll survive this. All without a revolution because we are Americans and we’ll give everybody a chance once in a while.
The left- today’s Socialist-Democrats- are the enemy of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. They need to be recognized as such, and treated with contempt. They hate America, our traditions, and the independent spirit that made her great!
