God is pretty smart. Maybe we should try to learn something from Him.

Idiots.
Not that you’ve been paying attention, but Global Warming has always predicted more intense storms due to increased moisture in the air. But, hey, that’s science – which you guys think is icky.
“It’s not hard at all to get temperatures cold enough for snow in a world experiencing global warming. According to the 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) report, the globe warmed 0.74°C (1.4°F) over the past 100 years. There will still be colder than average winters in a world that is experiencing warming, with plenty of opportunities for snow. The more difficult ingredient for producing a record snowstorm is the requirement of near-record levels of moisture. Global warming theory predicts that global precipitation will increase, and that heavy precipitation events–the ones most likely to cause flash flooding–will also increase. This occurs because as the climate warms, evaporation of moisture from the oceans increases, resulting in more water vapor in the air.”

This article spells out what’s going on in a clear, easily understandable, fashion. However, I can supply technical papers if you’d like.

‘Global Warming’ also predicted a ‘major’ hurricane season this past summer…ooops.
See, according to the hysterical left, a cold, snowy winter is due to ‘global warming,’ as contrary to common sense as that may seem. Whether cord or hot, it’s ‘global warming.’
These naive idiots will believe anything they are spoon-fed by their self-righteous ideologues, like Chickenlittle Gore (Who’s made millions off these suckers).
I wonder how the pinky-green crowd explains the increasing Antarctic icecap, or the loss of the Martain northern icecap- are Martains driving SUV’s?
A mere 20,000 years ago, a lot of Europe and parts of North America were under a glacial ice-sheet. Climate change, obviously (remember the dinosaurs?), exists. But man-made ‘global warming?’ Only within the ‘science’ of science fiction.
“Hi…I’m AlGore…The Sky is Falling…That Will Be $25 million, Suckers!”
Did they also predict the fall of global temperatures? Percipitation events are not surprising, but the reason that they are mostly snow events much further south than normal and in many parts of the world is because global temperatures are in decline due to a lull in solar activity and a cyclical change in currents in the Pacific among other factors. None of those are man made.
Many scientists did predict this very outcome, you call them skeptics. The facts call them correct.
I was at the first ‘Earth Day,’ in Washington. I was a senior in high school, and my girlfriend and I, and another couple, spent the day on the Mall as pinhead liberal professor-types with greasy long hair droned on with great solemnity about how we were facing imminent destruction, either by freezing in the impending ‘Second Ice Age,’ or by suffering an agonizing death in the inevitable nuclear Armageddon with the Soviets.
We laughed at their dire predictions then, and now, in retrospect, they seem even more ridiculous. So do today’s pinky-left simpletons; breaking American industry and the energy sector is now and has always been the goal. The greasy-haired professors may change, but the agenda doesn’t.
“Hi, I’m Crusty the Gore- Buy My Movie!!”….(suckers)

Of course, if the winter was bone-dry — and warmer than normal — that TOO would be “evidence” of GW. LOL!!!
Just remember — to the faithful, EVERYTHING is evidence of global warming. (However, notice the euphemism “climate change” is slowly supplanting “global warming.” This is b/c, as the scandal that was made apparent recently continues to smoke out more nonsense, the same true believers can say “Well, when we said ‘climate change,’ that wasn’t synonymous with ‘global warming.’”)
The changes in climate over the period of a human life doesn’t constitute squat for a pattern. The human race is enjoying a brief inter glacial period. When the ice returns our species, as we know it ,will most likely be long gone.
“The planet isnt going anywhere,we are” George Carlin.
I’d hazard a guess that the fittest, most industrious among us, with a bit of luck, will survive the next glaciation 10-15K years from now. Humans may emerge a bit different on the other side, but hopefully, at least some of the knowledge gained during this interglacial periord won’t be lost.
““The planet isnt going anywhere,we are” George Carlin.”
Nice. I always thought George Carlin was pretty smart.
I’m wondering where Pandora got her degree. She’s pretty darn smart about this AGW stuff. Of course, scientists such as herself disagree among themselves, and mere patricians can only be skeptical at best. Anything else, being totally sure on either side, is intellectually dishonest unless you are a climatologist, then you can be as hard-headed as you want.
What makes you think pandora is a ‘scientist?’ Any fool can read a script; see Rather, Biden, Olberman, Couric et. al.
True, U. I. is the scientist, but I would say that Pandora is no fool.

World may not be warming, say scientists
Jonathan Leake
The United Nations climate panel faces a new challenge with scientists casting doubt on its claim that global temperatures are rising inexorably because of human pollution.
In its last assessment the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said the evidence that the world was warming was “unequivocal”.
It warned that greenhouse gases had already heated the world by 0.7C and that there could be 5C-6C more warming by 2100, with devastating impacts on humanity and wildlife. However, new research, including work by British scientists, is casting doubt on such claims. Some even suggest the world may not be warming much at all.
“The temperature records cannot be relied on as indicators of global change,” said John Christy, professor of atmospheric science at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, a former lead author on the IPCC.
The doubts of Christy and a number of other researchers focus on the thousands of weather stations around the world, which have been used to collect temperature data over the past 150 years.
These stations, they believe, have been seriously compromised by factors such as urbanisation, changes in land use and, in many cases, being moved from site to site.
Christy has published research papers looking at these effects in three different regions: east Africa, and the American states of California and Alabama.
“The story is the same for each one,” he said. “The popular data sets show a lot of warming but the apparent temperature rise was actually caused by local factors affecting the weather stations, such as land development.”
The IPCC faces similar criticisms from Ross McKitrick, professor of economics at the University of Guelph, Canada, who was invited by the panel to review its last report.
The experience turned him into a strong critic and he has since published a research paper questioning its methods.
“We concluded, with overwhelming statistical significance, that the IPCC’s climate data are contaminated with surface effects from industrialisation and data quality problems. These add up to a large warming bias,” he said.
Such warnings are supported by a study of US weather stations co-written by Anthony Watts, an American meteorologist and climate change sceptic.
His study, which has not been peer reviewed, is illustrated with photographs of weather stations in locations where their readings are distorted by heat-generating equipment.
Some are next to air- conditioning units or are on waste treatment plants. One of the most infamous shows a weather station next to a waste incinerator.
Watts has also found examples overseas, such as the weather station at Rome airport, which catches the hot exhaust fumes emitted by taxiing jets.
In Britain, a weather station at Manchester airport was built when the surrounding land was mainly fields but is now surrounded by heat-generating buildings.
Terry Mills, professor of applied statistics and econometrics at Loughborough University, looked at the same data as the IPCC. He found that the warming trend it reported over the past 30 years or so was just as likely to be due to random fluctuations as to the impacts of greenhouse gases. Mills’s findings are to be published in Climatic Change, an environmental journal.
“The earth has gone through warming spells like these at least twice before in the last 1,000 years,” he said.
Kevin Trenberth, a lead author of the chapter of the IPCC report that deals with the observed temperature changes, said he accepted there were problems with the global thermometer record but these had been accounted for in the final report.
“It’s not just temperature rises that tell us the world is warming,” he said. “We also have physical changes like the fact that sea levels have risen around five inches since 1972, the Arctic icecap has declined by 40% and snow cover in the northern hemisphere has declined.”
The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts has recently issued a new set of global temperature readings covering the past 30 years, with thermometer readings augmented by satellite data.
Dr Vicky Pope, head of climate change advice at the Met Office, said: “This new set of data confirms the trend towards rising global temperatures and suggest that, if anything, the world is warming even more quickly than we had thought.”
..but I would say that Pandora is no fool.
Perhaps not. Perhaps she is an ideologue who resorts to unwarranted censorship when the competition starts to heat-up. Of course, that has always been the modus operendi of the left; see USSR, Cuba, et. al.
And they have the unmitigated gall to profess ‘fairness’ and ‘diversity’…even ‘logic’ (the logic of censorship).
Frauds.
