I know that socializing land use is more important, but this was worth an effort for her. The fact it did not even get a second likely led her to drop it quickly. But there are gradually more and more right-minded Sussex Countians trying to overcome them, and I'm not from Sussex, so it's not my place to enumerate them. I think the councilwoman's response here should be very instructive for this group. It often seems that the liberal positions that the right chooses to highlight, are often those that carry the least weight with liberals and do not define them. On the other hand if you think about it, separation of church and state is more of an originalist postion than a liberal one. There are some Sussex County traditions that badly need trampling on. I believe that Sussex is poised for growth such as we have never seen and that we should have the infrastructure to accompany it. Without adequate infrastructure in place, the debt for building new roads and schools goes to everyone in the state. I do believe in Separation of Church and State but what we call Easter vacation is not a major issue for me. In fact I voted with the council to leave the words "Easter vacation" on the list.
