Former Governor and Senator George Allen Says Glen Urquhart has the right values and principles
Houston, DE, July 16, 2010: The Great Conservative Cookout drew at least 1200 people to the Yoder Farm near Houston Delaware. It featured many conservative candidates and two special guests Tabitha Hale of Freedom Works and the Keynote was Former Virginia Governor and Senator George Allen. Governor Allen was warmly introduced by his long time friend, Conservative Republican Congressional candidate Glen Urquhart. He returned the favor by stating that Glen Urquhart was someone who shared the Governor’s Reagan Conservative values. He stated that they were long time friends and that we could trust Glen Urquhart because he has the right values, principles and ideas to be a great representative in Congress.
The Governor spoke in depth about the danger of the Climate Tax Legislation such as Cap and Trade and the Carbon Tax. After he spoke, Mr. Urquhart came back up on stage and ceremonially signed in front of the packed house a pledge not to support any legislation to raise taxes in Climate legislation. Mr. Urquhart staunchly opposes such a job killing measure which will also take money out the budget of every family in America for no scientifically verifiable gain. It is all pain and no gain which makes for poor policy.
The pledge he signed was identical to the one submitted to Americans for Prosperity. He joined 625 other candidates nationwide in opposing the Climate Tax on energy. He is the first in Delaware.

Paying a sitting county council member to be on your campaign….5,000 dollars.
Trip up to Wilmington with WGMD talk show host Bill Colley….150 dollars.
Having George “macaca” Allen as the keynote speaker at your cookout/campaign rally…..PRICELESS
Thank Debbie, but we already have that covered in the general GOP press release. You don’t need to spam it on every topic. It seemed related to the other thread not this one. We do not normally like repeated off topic posts.
Welcome to the forum, I hope we see more of you.
I know my friend, Allen never did anything else in his life like improve education, control spending and taxes, increase funding to traditionally black colleges, and pass parental involvement laws so parents pf minors were no longer bypassed when people wanted abort their grandchildren.

‘Young guns?’ Hilarious- more like aged pop-guns.
On July 23, 2010 Chairman Pete Sessions will be in Delaware for a photo opp with the NRCC’s newest Young Gun.
The same Sessions who represents Dallas, and whose latest legislation, in this time of crisis, was to honor special-ed teachers?

Only $1000? Surely they’ll serve Michelle’s famous ‘Jamacian Jerk Caviar!”
By-the-way, what does this Rollins post have to do with former Sen. Allen endorsing Urquhart?
Sorry David, just a little joke. I actually liked George Allen for president. Too bad he made that gaff. I guess I just have a chip on my shoulder about some of these out of state Johnny – come – lately candidates like Urquhart, O’Donnell, and Izzo . Maybe it’s because Carper beat the old man back in the eighties.
maccaca? That is a gaffe? What about record nation debt, failed Afghan war, huge deficits, bad health care bill, ineffective financial reform and now cap and trade?
Obama’s intended actions are way worse than any small gaffe.
Mike Protack
The reality of the situation is that “macaca,” regardless of what it means and Allen’s intent, was enough to sink Allen in his reelection bid for the Senate, he lost to that wacko sexist Jim Webb.
You can pontificate about what voters should be concentrating on all day long, but in the end, in a general election, the voters will walk into the voting booth and vote against “macaca.”
Just like they will with “separation of church and state came out of Hitler’s mouth,” and “the next time one of you liberal friends talks about separation of church and state, ask them why they’re Nazi’s.”
Mike Protack knows that, he was banking on people going into the voting booth in the 2008 primary for Governor and voting against “I enjoy women and I enjoy dancing” but that one didn’t work, because it made people like his opponent even more.
In good times, people feel the luxury of voting on silly issues. In bad times, nothing else matters. The truth is that Allen did not lose because of that comment. Look up the poll numbers and see. It hurt him in NOVA, but it did not sink him. The war and the book ads did. He was up in the polls and let the consultants attack Webb for sorid passages in his fiction books. He came off like a book burner and Webb hammered him.
Both the ‘macacca’ and the ‘Nazi’ statements were political errors. A candidate must watch what he/she says, like a salesman.
hey rick – see your post below – good thing you are not running for office uhuh?
Who cares what the NAACP says?
They’re still on the plantation, serving ‘Ol Massa up in the big house- and they don’t even know it.
“Where would You be Without Us, Black Man?”…’Ol Massa Socialist-Democrat
as for Protack – never answered my question about how retro you want to make you abolishment of the 14th ammendment – i still say back to 1492 – or was that your gaffe too?? yes it was because the new number are out and guess what Mike…..
seeing as immigrants now make up 7.4% of voters in Delaware – not a good comment to make – and we have LOOOONG memories
