Does Being Black Mean You Support Bad Bills?
Nov 20th, 2009 by David Anderson
Rev. Jesse Jackson blasted opponents of health care deform, including Alabama Congressman Arthur Davis -D. He is no longer black according to Rev. Jackson. I disagree. He is just no longer controled. Being black does not mean you have a slavish devotion to socialism. Being black in America means that you have overcome oppression, slavery, segregation, and disenfranchisement to take your rightful place as a free person.
Black people helped build this country from the beginning. We toiled in the fields, worked in factories, fought in the wars (including the War for Independence) helped lead the Tea Party movement, provided crucial votes to pass the Constitution in NY, helped lead some of the great social movements, and built businesses, churches, and families which have strengthen this nation. We did not accomplish these achievements by surrendering our individual judgment. The last time I checked, being black did not mandate us to have Rev. Jackson’s commie lib opinion.
I would rather be represented by someone who thinks about the merits of the bill than someone who legislates by feelings. Congressman Davis’ critique of the bill sounds reasonable. It won’t work. Pelosi care is an illness not a cure. If Rev. Commie Lib Jackson actually read the bill, he would see it in black and white not see it in a black or not paradigm.
Davis said he voted against the healthcare bill because “House leadership’s approach is not the best we can do.” He said he preferred a version passed by the Senate Finance Committee because it reduces subsidization of the healthcare industry, taxes high-value health plans instead of wealthy people, and is more effective in getting employers to help with health coverage.

The Socialist-Democrat Party has done more to destroy the black community than anything in the wildest dreams of the KKK. Urban blight, rampant drug addiction, pathetic schools and astronomical dropout rates, vicious crime, an extraordinarily high unwed birthrate and so on can be attributable to Great Society dependency programs.
