Various local fire companies displayed large American Flags, suspended from ladder trucks stationed on overpasses as their members stood at attention
State agencies and local police departments, including the Department of Corrections, State Police, DELDOT as well as the Delaware National Guard actively participated. Police delegations from surrounding states were also present as we’re some Delaware citizens groups.
Sgt. Floyd ( a sixteen-year veteran of the DOC) was killed during the February 2 Building C hostage incident in the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in Smyrna.
