Divided Democrats: Political Cross Dressing 101
Dec 10th, 2009 by David Anderson
The Democrat Party seems almost lockstep in socializing America at the national level. What may trip them up is an implosion over a radical cultural agenda. The reason I brought up cultural issues today is that they are what is being voted upon this week. Conservatives are not the ones trying to change the successful heritage which is part of our foundational strength. They are. They are the ones who are divisive. That is why these issues are beginning to split the coalition.
North Carolina will be one of the key interparty fights of the 2010. Unsurprisingly, it is among Democrats even though they have an uphill battle for Burr’s seat. The party has other battles which are becoming pitched.
They are battling over which expensive health program to choose, should it be government option or merely a government inspired option? Should they destroy the economy in 2014 to please the green lobby now, or let the EPA please the greens and sink us back into recession? Should they give up their constitutional duty to budget money to some commission or should they just admit that they don’t believe debt matters? Should they socialize everything or just the parts of the economy that do not give enough campaign cash? Should we make a joke of everything we said about the Good War in Afghanistan or should we at least give it the old college try? Should we let Nancy Pelosi lose some seats as she said she wouldn’t mind sacrificing some for the greater good or should we remember that it wouldn’t be her seat?
Being a Democrat is tough these days. Indecision, poor planning, and a lack of real ideas pass for leadership and vision. It is no wonder the party is halt between two opinions at every turn.
Few American parties have ever had the power that the Democrats have now. The filibuster used to be 67 votes so the 60 vote majority is equal to a 67 vote majority in times past (except for constitutional amendment) since vetos are not an issue when you have both the Whitehouse and Congress. The reason Democrats have problems is that they gained it on false pretenses.
The Democrats ran as moderates who understood cultural conservatism and were economic moderates. Fiscally, they were going to cut taxes for 90% of the people and reform spending. The reality everyone sees is that Joe the Plumber was right. The party is run by democratic socialist cross dressing to look like moderates. The only thing moderate about some of them is that they want to go slower so not to awaken the public. They are outvoted and now the game is up. The American public found out that the new partner to the altar is a cross dressing loon, and I bet they are going to break it off ASAP.

Excellent article, just hope America continues to wake up before it is too late to stop the madness!
The anti-American left, whether in the ideological hierarchy or as a member of the unwitting dupes susceptible to ‘liberal’ propaganda, are an enemy..this is why I won’t give them the time of day on this forum.
The Socialist-Democrat Party is the party of collectivism, anti-Christian hysteria, U.N.-world government, race and gender politics, abortion, statism- everything anathema to the freedom, individual responsibility and limited government created by the Founders. In short, they are traitors, and should be treated as such.
