delawaredem’s HATE Again Shines

Sep 19th, 2008 by RSmitty

Remember my post on delawaredem’s HATRED of all Republicans?  After relentless badgering, he relented his hate-inspired stance.  Um, he qualified it in that some of his best friends are Republicans. Where have I heard that one before? Well, his unchecked anger is at it once again.  Remember that he is in a profession that requires an enormous amount of care to parse words both of what is said by one party and of what is said from his own mouth.

Go ahead and read his rant in its entirety (it’s only fair to tell you he attempts a point, but unhinges it with his rant highlighted below), but here are Sir Wordsmith’s words from his phrase that pays:

You (Republicans) should all be round up and shot. Seriously.

I am now convinced delawaredem can’t help himself. Aside from his token Republican friends, his pattern is disturbing.

Stalin or Mao couldn’t have said it any better than DelDimwit.

  2. on 19 Sep 2008 at 13:082mike w.

Ah, now I see why Delaware Dem, Jason and the rest of the bunch at DE Liberal are so vehemently anti-gun. It’s a bit difficult to round up all of the Republicans and other “non-believers” when we’re still armed.

  3. on 19 Sep 2008 at 14:333Scott Kirwin

Hope he’s a good shot. I hit Targetmaster at least once a week.

  4. on 19 Sep 2008 at 17:284Redproud

    I love the angry left!!!!

When McCain wins, it will be like Christmas in November!

  5. on 19 Sep 2008 at 18:535Dana Garrett

And to think Smitty that you once thought that someone as bi-partisan as me was the root of DE blog evil.

  6. on 19 Sep 2008 at 21:036Say No To GOP

The sad part is the Republican party in Delaware is almost extinct and the Lee/Copeland combo will be the final straw. Markell will win easily by 25-30% and the rest of the GOP candidate will all suffer.

The way the GOP treats people is the reason there is no grassroots or “bench”. The pseudo elites crap all over guys like Spence, Protack, Lofink etc who have any standing with working class people.

    Sad beyond belief.

  7. on 19 Sep 2008 at 21:217Redproud

    Anger, anger, anger!!!!!!

I have to admit, the Delaware Fiberals have provided me with endless amusement.

I’m hoping they don’t pull a Heaven’s Gate in November after Obama crashes and burns.

  8. on 19 Sep 2008 at 21:218Redproud

I mean, what would I do for amusement then?

  9. on 19 Sep 2008 at 22:519RSmitty

And to think Smitty that you once thought that someone as bi-partisan as me was the root of DE blog evil.

Well, like I said then, I will stick up for a friend when I think there is more to the story than is realized. However, that said, root of DE blog evil…even then, I wasn’t ready to put that title on you (surprise!!!). Plus, you never posted about wanting to shoot all republicans (“seriously”) nor preached your hatred for all of them, but attempted to temper that by trotting out your token republican bestest friends ever.

Neh, Dana, you are not anything like that description. Plus, agree with your or not, you still write your pieces with representing your argument quite well.

  10. on 19 Sep 2008 at 22:5210RSmitty

P.S.: despite the url, GOP (comment #6) is likely NOT delawaredem.

  11. on 19 Sep 2008 at 23:5311noman

Of course Bush actually HAS had people rounded up and shot.

  12. on 20 Sep 2008 at 07:0412Redproud

Really??? How do we get deldumb, Jason and DV on that VIP list?

    Put down the kool-aid.

  13. on 20 Sep 2008 at 09:4313Art Downs

There was some truth to the claim that Terry Strine was the King of Decline but he was finally given a well-deserved boot. He seemed to want the job of National Committeeman as a social bauble. When he was denied this prize, he took what marbles he had and went home. His tearful farewell at the State Convention was worthy of some sort of an award. What is the political equivalent of an Oscar or an Emmy?

Where is the excitement, the issues, that bring vigor to the party? What is there to stir up the grass roots?

A recent event featured Mike Castle and the airhead Christie Todd Whitman. What a turnoff. Whitman seemed to do well when she was listening to the truly brilliant Steve Forbes but on her own she seemed to be a real dullard.

Castle often displays the same arrogance that eventually doomed his friend Wayne Gilchrest. Castle can thumb his nose at his base and know that he is slightly better than the alternative in November.

His preference for the oafish Tom Ridge over Sarah Palin should demonstrate his political folly.

Is it no surprise that Mike Castle was the top Republican member of the House to get campaign contributions from the money mismanagers at Lehman Brothers? Perhaps sucking up to the fat-cats may make for a well-funded campaign treasury that discourages any primary opposition.

There are party leaders who see grass-roots activism being reduced to the heavy lifting and also being a chorus of political castratti singing songs of praise for time-servers who are often contemptuous of the base.

  14. on 20 Sep 2008 at 10:2714Perry Hood

Art, I won’t interrupt your rambling about your party’s problems, but here is one of your comments that I can’t let by: “His preference for the oafish Tom Ridge over Sarah Palin should demonstrate his political folly.”

Perhaps Ridge is a bit “oafish”, but he is a far more competent and credible person than Sarah Palin, which is not really saying too much. Palin lies constantly, then repeats the same lies over and over again.

This is an extremely arrogant lady who has no concept of her own limitations, as per her Palin-McCain gaffe several days ago, plus many other egotistical misperceptions of self.

Even her facial expressions give away her simplistic pit bull approach to complex issues.

“Country First” says McCain, politics first says his judgment in the selection of Palin to be a heartbeat away should McCain win.

Fortunately, in the end, we won’t have that concern to worry about, in my view!

  15. on 20 Sep 2008 at 10:4215Hube

Everybody take note of how Perry has NOT — repeat, NOT — condemned DelDem’s vile comments (the subject of this post) but chose instead to make [another] attack on Sarah Palin. Yet, he repeatedly visits here and Colossus to hypocritically condemn so-called “personal attacks” against him and other liberals.

This is probably the biggest whopper in many of why no one should pay attention to this dolt.

Oh, and noman — take your lithium, bud.

  16. on 20 Sep 2008 at 10:5816Perry Hood

Hube, as usual you divert and attack, with your nastiness at the forefront, aimed at me and anyone else who disagrees with The Great Hube. I prefer to deal with the issues and the leaders who represent or misrepresent them, like Palin, with whom I think you have a lot in common, by the way.

I will give you this: You are a baby step above Sarah Palin! :)

I’ll leave the attacking of the Deldems to you, and I’ll leave the judgments of my arguments to the readers of this blog and yours as well, of which you are one. Feel free, Hube!!!

  17. on 20 Sep 2008 at 11:0517Hube

The ISSUE of THIS POST is the vileness of DelDem’s post. It is YOU who is “diverting.” Either write about IT, or comment in another thread. Or better yet, get your own f***ing blog.

You are a fraud, fossil. No one should take you remotely seriously.

I’ll leave the attacking of the Deldems to you

It’s “DelDem,” singular, as in a regular poster at DE Liberal. You’d know that if you ever went there to spew your never-ending supposedly “objective” criticisms at THEIR garbage. And this is why you are a phony, Perry. Your claims of “wanting to talk issues” and “objectivity” are all just so much bullshit.

  18. on 20 Sep 2008 at 11:1718Art Downs

The most vile comments come from those who are the bottom-feeders in the political process. They tend to be adolescents of all ages who think that gratuitous vulgarity is ‘cutting edge’ and somehow makes them ‘hot’.

They seem to gloat whenever they mouth some hollow slogan or platitude that is, at best, glib. Glibness may seem effective in an atmosphere where attention spans are limited. But how many of these alleged ‘progressives’ have ever engaged in meaningful debate where the game was not rigged?

How many participate in real politics, from contributing to campaigns to working in them or even running for office? Or is their idea of ‘activism’ simply another form of throwing tantrums?

  19. on 20 Sep 2008 at 12:4619Perry Hood

    Good points, Art!

The only shortcoming is that you narrow it down to “Progressives”, thus nullifying to some extent your comment.

If you were honest about this, you would have to agree that McCain/Palin have participated in “bottom feeding”, the worst I’ve ever seen.

As far as your point about activists, be careful not to make any unwarranted assumptions.

I’m just wondering, have you ever read Colossus?

Hube is OK when he sticks to comic books!

  20. on 20 Sep 2008 at 13:0120Perry Hood

Hube, if you wish to run a blog, you are putting yourself out into a public venue, therefore subject to both assenting and dissenting feedback. Apparently you are having great difficulty with this as evidenced by your volcanic explosions that demean no one but yourself. Most others do not behave like you do to dissent. I think a little introspection is in order.

  21. on 20 Sep 2008 at 13:0621Perry Hood

OK, the comic book comment was over the top, on second thought, so I apologize for that.

  22. on 20 Sep 2008 at 13:4122Hube

That’s quite all right, Perry. The writing level of silver and bronze age comics are well beyond your comprehension capacity as it is, so I take no offense at your remark.

Note, everyone, that this is Perry’s 5th comment in this thread and he hasn’t YET brought himself to denounce DelDem’s comments. Try THAT introspection, you fossil. THAT shows what kind of person YOU are, moonbat.

  23. on 20 Sep 2008 at 15:1523Al

Hube and Perry, wow — FYI, I hear restraining orders are being offered on sale today at legalzoom.com…

  24. on 20 Sep 2008 at 15:2524Perry Hood

No, Hube, let’s continue to focus recovery efforts and costs that we citizens are going to have to bear because of the negligence of the government to look after our interests in recent years, mainly on the GOP watch. “DelDem” is just one more insignificant diversion that you would like to pursue instead.

Look here: The Bush administration’s effort to “avoid an imminent meltdown of the U.S. financial system” could end up costing taxpayers $1 trillion, according to The Politico.

Sen. Richard Shelby, the senior Republican member of the Banking Committee, estimates that the price tag will be a half a trillion. When added to the the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guarantee by Treasury, the bailout of Bear Stearns, and the AIG loan, we are talking about approaching $1 Trillion on the backs of taxpayers, all because of the implementation of the GOP laissez faire, free market, regulation free ideology, a failure of humongous proportions.

Obama has stated that he will defer to Bush, Paulson, and Bernanke who are the key individuals trying to work out the best solution. That said, here are Obama’s plan to help the economy and the American people with their current struggles:
    http://my.barackobama.com/page/s/economyplan

  25. on 20 Sep 2008 at 15:5425Redproud

Bush was ahead of the curve:
    NY Times, September 2003

    tinyurl.com/6lp5qu

But not ahead of the corrupt Democrats who ran the banking committee and took lobbying money.

Dodd and Obama sold us all out so people with no credit could go further in to the bankrupcy hole.

    Nice plan, homey!

  26. on 20 Sep 2008 at 16:3026Hube

Note, everyone, that this is Perry’s 6th comment in this thread and he hasn’t YET brought himself to denounce DelDem’s comments.

As Perry would say, “In my view” this means he implicitly agrees with him.

    Meanwhile, read up, Perry:

Redprund, looks like you folks once more refuse to be accountable for your actions. Instead you are mimicking your party line as in McCain.

I’m not claiming the Dems are guilt-free here, but you Repubs had both the Executive Branch and Congress when this sub-prime bubble was building. What did your folks do about it, or said better, what did your folks not do about it? The September 2003 Bush Administration Proposal to shift the regulatory responsibility from Congress to the Executive Branch (Treasury) went nowhere! Why?

  28. on 20 Sep 2008 at 19:0028Perry Hood

    Sorry, should have been Redproud.

  29. on 20 Sep 2008 at 20:3929Redproud

“The September 2003 Bush Administration Proposal to shift the regulatory responsibility from Congress to the Executive Branch (Treasury) went nowhere! Why?”

Umm….that would be Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac WHORE NUMERO UNO—Christopher Dodd.

    WHORE ON DECK—Barack Obama.

Both men so busy playing mortgage sugar daddy, they forgot who they work for.

WHO DOES NUMBER TWO WORK FOR???? WHO DOES NUMBER TWO WORK FOR????

Makes me want to bust an O-ring…..

Thanks for playing, Perry, you pathetic liberal amateur.

  30. on 20 Sep 2008 at 20:4030Hube

Note, everyone, that this is Perry’s 7th and 8th comments in this thread and he hasn’t YET brought himself to denounce DelDem’s comments.

I haven’t seen many GOPers/conservatives claim blamelessness. Clearly, the GOP is not blameless. Nancy Pelosi, however, has spoken for the Democrats and said that they are blameless: http://justoneminute.typepad.com/main/2008/09/the-mortgage-de.html

And even though the GOP held Congress in ’03 Perry, you are aware that it takes 60 votes to get anything through the Senate, right? Right? It seems you aren’t.

  31. on 20 Sep 2008 at 20:4531rsmitty

Perry, this was my post and the point of it was indeed about delawaredem’s (the individual) vile and open hatred of any singular person who is a registered ‘R’, except for his token Republican bestest-friends from college. Go ahead and rant away, but don’t accuse Hube of going off topic when the topic was indeed all about delawaredem’s public hatred of and ill-will towards any human registered Republican.

  32. on 20 Sep 2008 at 20:4832Hube

And just to show you I can act on my claim that the GOP was not blameless, I have read that the 2005 reform bill that McCain himself has touted actually died in committee — which at that time, would have been controlled by the GOP.

  33. on 20 Sep 2008 at 21:2033rsmitty

You can not say that I am not fair. Apology noted and accepted.

  34. on 21 Sep 2008 at 09:0034Perry Hood

Smitty, it all depends on what the topic IS, doesn’t it? Shall I count the number of people in this thread who have gone off your topic?

My original response was to Art Downs’ topic (#14), after which control freak Hube began his rage, ordering me to respond. (Note my ad hominem attack on Hube!)

As I said, I’m not interested in the DelDems or DelawareDems, whatever, do not frequent their site, and do not care to respond, after which came the deluge of Hube’s repeated orders to me, colored with his typical ad hominems and epithets.

I do not subscribe to the extremist antics of the far left, nor the far right for that matter!

Since you are a moderator of this forum, Smitty, I suggest you clean this place up, since it is being dragged into the gutter with the likes of Hube’s antics. Debate and discussion and heated disagreement are great, but name calling and such is out of place on a quality blog. I’m not asking for anyone to be censored, but I do suggest a moderators comment is in order when trash talk becomes incessant, as it has been with Hube.

  35. on 21 Sep 2008 at 09:4635Hube

Now we’ve seen everything — Perry demanding that *I* be moderated b/c I dared to keep him on topic.

No rational person thinks you are not a hypocrite of the highest order. You rant and rave about personal attacks, yet you frequently masquerade your own by stating that someone’s comments are “idiotic,” “mean-spirited,” “gutter-dwelling” or whatever. But what is that but a personal attack? I simply choose not to mince words and call it as I see it.

So go right ahead, smitty, and “moderate” me if you wish. I suggest you do the same to those who hijack threads, post the same “arguments” over and over despite rebuttals, and use the term “Rovian” or the name Karl Rove enough to fill a dictionary.

  36. on 21 Sep 2008 at 09:4936Hube

Also note that my previous two comments play into Perry’s desire (off-topic comments), are “insult-free” and rebut his previous points. And what do I get? A request to “moderate” me.

Oh, and that was Perry’s 9th comment in this thread where he doesn’t denounce DelDem’s comment.

  37. on 21 Sep 2008 at 10:0537rsmitty

Nah, neither of you get moderated, unless it invloves all of us and beer and I moderate both of you into the center, then it’s job done.

  38. on 21 Sep 2008 at 14:2338Perry Hood

Sounds good to me, Smitty. At least we’ll have fun indulging in an impossible task! :)

  39. on 23 Sep 2008 at 18:1739Art Downs

Perhaps Ridge is a bit “oafish”, but he is a far more competent and credible person than Sarah Palin, which is not really saying too much. Palin lies constantly, then repeats the same lies over and over again. Perry Hood

Ridge had a RINO record in Congress. In his role in Homeland Defense, he was part of the trio of bumbles who preferred costly and questionable boondoggles to the common-sense approach of removing the restrictions on armed pilots. Note that one of his associates did get in hot water for spending hundreds of thousands of dollars in gold-plating his office. Perhaps this is the mindset of a career politicians.

  40. on 23 Sep 2008 at 22:2740Perry Hood

Like I said, Ridge is a far more competent and credible person than Palin.

Ridge was not hidden from the press, incommunicado. Where has Palin been? Answer: The McCain campaign is afraid to expose her to the press. I wonder why?

  41. on 24 Sep 2008 at 09:4841Hube

The McCain campaign is afraid to expose her to the press. I wonder why?

A claim not supported by the evidence.

  42. on 24 Sep 2008 at 11:5642Perry Hood

Wrong, it’s a claim well supported by the evidence. By now she should have made an appearance on all the networks and cable news/commentary affiliates; she has been on one, ABC. When will she be on Meet The Press? No, the McCain campaign’s behavior re Palin is plenty of evidence, except for those in denial of the facts!

  43. on 24 Sep 2008 at 12:0643Hube

Wrong, it’s a claim well supported by the evidence

Wrong, it’s not supported by the evidence. Just yesterday she met the press when she was meeting w/world leaders. She also met w/Sean Hannity last week. She’ll eventually get to MTP just like Obama eventually got to O’Reilly.

Your assumption is that McCain is sequestering her. You have nothing with which to back this up other than your denial of reality. Even given that she hasn’t been on many talk avenues yet, her background has been more thoroughly investigated than Obama’s already.

  44. on 24 Sep 2008 at 13:4044Perry Hood

I don’t agree, neither do the press and the media.

Obama’s background has been very thoroughly vetted.

And another thing, why is the McCain campaign doing all they can to interfere with the bipartisan investigation of the charge that Palin abused her power? If she is innocent, there is nothing to hide. With the attempt to shield her in this way, it raises the suspicion of guilt, the exact opposite from what the McCain campaign should wish for. The whole thing raises serious questions!
    http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1843678,00.html

  45. on 24 Sep 2008 at 13:5045Perry Hood

On hiding Sarah Palin, you might want to review the details of the rejection of press access to her yesterday when she met some world leaders at the UN:
    http://liberalvaluesblog.com/?p=4715

Is it to protect her lack of knowledge on some important issues? Is it to protect her from follow up on the many lies she has told? Or both?
    http://andrewsullivan.theatlantic.com/the_daily_dish/2008/09/the-twelve-odd.html

  46. on 24 Sep 2008 at 17:2646Hube

I don’t agree, neither do the press and the media.

Gee, what a surprise! Perry — a liberal — and the press AGREE!! Who’da thunk it? Sorry, you gotta a LOT better than that, especially touting far-left blog posts to support your “point,” and REHASHING (Mr. “Energizer Bunny” reposting comment after comment again!) the tired canard that McCain’s campaign is “interfering” in the AK investigation. I already showed you this is not the case, especially the FACT that several of the AK legislators involved in the investigation are active OBAMA supporters! Like, the McCain camp shouldn’t voice concern over this matter? Please.

Obama’s been a candidate for an epoch longer than Palin. How many times has he been on MTP? O’Reilly?

Keep trying Perry. I won’t hold my breath.

  47. on 24 Sep 2008 at 17:2747Hube
