Unfortunately, there is a conflict with the Sussex County Republican Picnic which is the same afternoon. One could try and make both. the picnic runs from 3 pm till 6 pm. But it would be a stretch.

Perusal of the Wynnewood Institute web site reminds me of the William Buckley approach to articulating Conservative issues in a civil and intellectual manner. Click here to vue and explore this web site.

In my view, Conservatives would do well to promote this way to communicate their message, while overturning the Limbaugh types who, in my view, do your cause and our country much more harm than good.

There are plenty of sources like this available to you folks, such as The Cato Institute, The Hoover Institution, The Heritage Foundation, The Council on Foreign Relations, …, as well as many from academia.

Your Congressional political leaders could also use more input from sources like these, bringing the Conservative movement back to the basics which have been diminished in the current climate of extreme partisan divide.

Why am I, a Liberal, interested? Because I believe a robust debate on principles and policy enhances the foundations for a better America. Right now, we are way off track.

So I congratulate the Conservative Caucus for promoting this approach to civil presentations and discussions of the issues we all face together!

When conservatives want your advice, they’ll as for it. Wasn’t it your ‘advice’ that Republicans run a ‘reasonable moderate,’ like McCain? Without Palin on the ticket, he would have been crushed.

In ‘10, Republicans need to run conservatives. Period. BO and his sycophants will do the rest for us. The American people are beginning to see the Socialist-Democrats’ agenda for what it is; a hate-America loser.

Interesting point Perry, especially in view of the fact that Limbaugh cites the Heritage Foundation as his source for many of his stories. Limbaugh actively encourages folks to join the Heritacge foundation despite the fact that they are not a show sponsor.

I have always assumed Perry was an employee of the State Democrat Party, who’s job is to troll the local blogosphere and defend obama and the dems.

I could be mistaken… he could work for the DOJ.

The Obama Justice Department’s Secret Blogging Team… Is it Illegal?
    Publius Forum ^ | 10/07/09 | Warner Todd Huston

Obama’s Attorney General, Eric Holder, has apparently hired a cadre of left-wing, Democrat campaign bloggers to troll through the Internet looking for news stories and blog posts that denigrate the Obama agenda. After such websites are found it is the job of these secret lefty bloggers to leave comments that come to the support of Obamaism in the comments sections. It seems that Eric Holder has created his own little propaganda unit in a valiant effort to become the Bloggi Riefenstahl of the Obama era.

As reported at The Muffled Oar, a blog that first broke the story of Holder’s secretive blogging unit — dubbed the “Blog Squad” by blogger Isaac Muzzey — Holder has housed this unit in the Office of Public Affairs at the Department of Justice. It also appears that former John Edwards staffer Tracy Russo is part of this special unit.

A site called whorunsgov.com reported back in May that DOJ hired Russo to do “media outreach for the whole department.” It is, according to whorunsgov.com, the first time such an effort has been made at DOJ.

    annoni,
thanks for the Holder update. I will look into it.
I think Perry does all of this on his own so I won’t question his motives.
You point about the left’s monitoring of websites is very apt. The Obama crew had such a team during his campaign. It is not a stretch to think that they would resurrect this.
