Civility the DNC Way
Oct 9th, 2009 by David Anderson
Republicans side with terrorists. No wonder National Democrats are losing credibility and poll way behind the gracious President Obama. The DNC lost it. The DNC forgot people like Lech Walesa and many others. The President can’t even bring the new civility and peace to his own party. I hope he is more successful with rouge regimes. At least this is a free country where you can be free to embarrass yourself with overstatement and misstatement.
“The Republican Party has thrown in its lot with the terrorists – the Taliban and Hamas this morning – in criticizing the President for receiving the Nobel Peace prize,” DNC communications director Brad Woodhouse told POLITICO. “Republicans cheered when America failed to land the Olympics and now they are criticizing the President of the United States for receiving the Nobel Peace prize – an award he did not seek but that is nonetheless an honor in which every American can take great pride – unless of course you are the Republican Party.
“The 2009 version of the Republican Party has no boundaries, has no shame and has proved that they will put politics above patriotism at every turn. It’s no wonder only 20 percent of Americans admit to being Republicans anymore – it’s an embarrassing label to claim,” Woodhouse said.

I much prefer a party which debates openly to one which does so behind closed doors and then emerges in lock-step, somewhat reminiscent of past dictatorships!

You are describing your party!
Polls indicate that retribution is coming in ’10. As I said before the ’08 elections, creation out of destruction. Congress’ approval rate is 29%! You people are going to have your heads handed to you- normal Americans don’t want your nanny-state socialism.
Stop the Commie bastards!
No, Rick, I am describing your party, as they behaved under Bush, and as they continue to behave.
The Dems debate in the open, as has been evident, for example, in the heath care insurance debate. Many willingly voice their opposition to their leadership when the are not in agreement.
In contrast, how many Republicans speak out against Rush Limbaugh? Or against John Boehner? Or against Senator McConnell? How many Dems speak out against Nancy Pelosi? Think about it?
You’re worried about what a democrat named “Brad” said?
I’d be hiding the lube if I were you. They wait until you fall asleep….
“…how many Republicans speak out against Rush Limbaugh?”
Why would they ‘speak out’ against Limbaugh? He is a talk radio host, not an elected official or officer of the party. However, you do aptly demonstrate my point by marching ‘lock-step’ with your Limbaugh-obsessed Socialist-Democrat sycophants.
