Christine on the Stump part 3
Nov 22nd, 2009 by David Anderson
Christine O’Donnell shared with the 9/12 crowd why she is so intent on running for the senate instead of the open house seat. She believes the Sovereignty of this nation is being threatened. The most effective place to affect that is the U. S. senate. In the U. S. senate, the ability exists to block UN treaties.
She called Tarp 1 and 2 big mistakes. They gave the Federal Reserve too much power while sinking us in a sea of debt.
She is concerned about provisions in the Cap and Trade legislation which would reverse the baby steps toward oil and gas independence which we took just last year. She favors an all of the above approach to power with the exception of expanding nuclear power. She has national security concerns regarding nuclear power’s expansion. As we press N. Korea and Iran to open up their plants, would we be opening ourselves as well. Would that then allow stealing of technology? I will address her concern in a future post.
She favors many traditionally conservative positions on immigration though she wants to find a way to prevent family breakups through deportation. She favors securing the border, English as the official language, and even revisiting automatic citizenship of children of illegals.
Finally, she addressed the issue of qualifications. She spent 12 years as an advocate for the people and our values in Washington. She was part of a think tank. She understands the issues, the people, and the procedures of the Hill.
Her command of the issues demonstrated that she is not the typical non incumbent candidate. She showed a seasoning and intellect which would be a credit to the party. It will be an interesting race.

It’s about time a Conservative showed up at the top levels.
