If...and despite this poll it's still a big if, but if Christie defeats Corzine it can be construed as nothing less than a repudiation of Obama's leftist agenda. Virginia is a middle-of-the-road state, so it's not particularly shocking that a Republican wins the governorship. But, New Jersey? A solid blue state! Now, if Corzine loses, BO's operatives will say 'Obama didn't have anything to do with this election.' Oh, really? Then why did BO go to New Jersey in the first place, if he would have no effect? BO has been to NJ several times, figuring that his mere presence would deliver the state to Corzine; hence, he obviously felt he would have a positive effect. However, if Corzine loses, then one must conclude that BO had a negative effect! Sorry, Dems, you can't have it both ways; your rationalizations ring hollow.
