Christie Gains Big MO
Nov 2nd, 2009 by David Anderson
The latest numbers are out from Democrat polling firm Public Policy Polling and they confirm the Rasmussen trend late last week. Christie is now up by 6. The Daggett voters who were for Christie as a second choice are moving to him as a first. The undecides are almost all breaking for Christie even though 27% of Christie voters do not think he made the case to be governor. He is not Corzine. The headlines recently about Corzine planning to bring back the toll hikes did hurt, and even all the President’s minions can’t put Jon the taxer back together.
Virginia tomorrow morning early.

If…and despite this poll it’s still a big if, but if Christie defeats Corzine it can be construed as nothing less than a repudiation of Obama’s leftist agenda. Virginia is a middle-of-the-road state, so it’s not particularly shocking that a Republican wins the governorship. But, New Jersey? A solid blue state! Now, if Corzine loses, BO’s operatives will say ‘Obama didn’t have anything to do with this election.’ Oh, really? Then why did BO go to New Jersey in the first place, if he would have no effect? BO has been to NJ several times, figuring that his mere presence would deliver the state to Corzine; hence, he obviously felt he would have a positive effect. However, if Corzine loses, then one must conclude that BO had a negative effect! Sorry, Dems, you can’t have it both ways; your rationalizations ring hollow.
