Cheering a Yarmulke

Sep 2nd, 2010 by FVoshell

Rabbi Aryeh Spero experienced an “uplifting and beautiful thing” at the Glenn Beck “Restoring Honor” rally. As he walked through the crowds, the people cheered him and applauded his Yarmulke, yelling out, “Shalom. Shabbat Shalom. We love Israel. Thank you for coming.”

Rabbi Spero was deeply touched, realizing the crowd was supporting the Jewish people and Biblical Judaism.

He concluded “The bigotry that the media and New York City elites speak about is nothing but a concoction, manufactured in their own parochial minds, reflecting an ever increasing darkness in their hearts…”

He added that there is little bigotry among America’s mainstream, because as religious Christians, Americans have been introspective and have worked hard to change.

In contrast, he sees little introspection or change among liberals toward conservative Christians. That is because they have not “undergone the necessary introspection due to their self identification as being morally superior…”

He continued: “Liberal bigotry against conservative Christians and middle-class America has grown and metastasized over the years. I’ve witnessed it personally in the salons of New York’s Upper east and West Sides. It began with a feeling of being “smarter” than the average American…Liberalism today has nothing to do with compassion, but is animated by…sneer[s] and mockery…Thus, whenever an issue arises, their first response is to label Americans as racists or bigots—because they believe it and because up until now, such accusations have silenced mainstream American. Worse, they use every opportunity, no matter how far- fetched, to reaffirm their favorite template about America and Americans: racism and bigotry. By calling us bigots, they hope to marginalize and demoralize us, and delegitimize our views. If we continue to accept their indictment we are suckers.”

The good rabbi concludes that Americans should no longer be cowed by liberal accusations of bigotry and intolerance, adding that “era is over. The ones who need introspection and humbling are the white liberal elitists…We no longer have to prove ourselves to them. It is high time that they began proving themselves to us.”

I could not agree more. Blessings on a good rabbi who speaks to the truth!

FVoshell is so proud of not hating one group of non-Christians that she want everyone to know about it. (They are going to be thrown into to pit by Skydad anyway…so?)

    Very big of you FVoshell.

When Skydad puts the Jews in his sights, it ain’t gonna be pretty.

“According to Zechariah’s prophecy, two thirds of the children of Israel in the land will perish, but the one third that are left will be refined and be awaiting the deliverance of God at the second coming of Christ which is described in the next chapter of Zechariah.”

What a bunch of block heads. They also think the Earth is 10,000 years old.

Now that the peanut gallery has spoken, we can seriously address your post.

We know that the movement has nothing to with bigotry. It is just a smear because there is nothing left. Arguing with the message just got them record low poll numbers on the generic ballot.

Still it is nice to see the truth reported.

    David,

Evangelicals love Jews because they are all going to be converted or killed in a fortnight or so when Skydad’s Son comes back. I’m paraphrasing Pat Robertson, but I think I have it pretty close.

  5. on 02 Sep 2010 at 13:405FVoshell

I agree, David. It is all they have left.

The constant cries of “bigot” have grown old and cold. The rabbi has it right. Actual bigotry is a big problem with the left, especially when it comes to Christians.

Amazingly, neanderthals like Trust Fund call Pat Robertson an “extremist” and “radical,” yet the Imam Rauf (GZ mosque) is a “moderate.”

Just keeping the record straight on their idiocy, is all.

  7. on 02 Sep 2010 at 14:097jason330

FVoshell thinks America should be a theocracy like the founding fathers intended. She mistakes liberals like me mocking that notion for bigotry.

    Hube,

    No paper’s to grade?

You get an “F” for the above.

Isn’t Jason a perfect example of liberal ‘tolerance?’

    Socialist-Democrat = Fraud

Indeed, Pat. You’d think a trust funder would know basic English … especially.

    Me no English good.

There is a certain deep paranoia at work here. O’Donnell seeing enemies “hiding in the bushes”. Now it’s Christians are under attack. How absurd.

What they really mean is that not all Christians think alike. They don’t like that. Most of the criticism of radical Christianity comes from fellow Christians like me. Traditional Christians don’t like radical Christianity anymore than radical Islam. The Tea Party is confusing dissent with religious persecution.

My conservative cousin tells me I will not find a mansion in God’s kingdom unless I turn myself totally over to Christ as he has done. He kept it up over and over for years. I finally told him he is full of shit. I said I love God and Christ as much as he does so back off with that crap. Stop telling I am dark and doomed and that you aren’t. Now I steer all conversation to light banter about food and travel. We are all so different. My evangelical cousin is an MIT graduate. Somehow he thinks he has a right to condemn others for the beliefs. For me, that’s weird.

Back to Tea paranoia and Fay worrying about Christ getting crunched by liberals. The facts do not support the high level of paranoia:

Christianity is the world’s predominant religion. Billions of followers.

Christianity is by far the predominant religion in the United States, totally dwarfing all other religions combined! The USA is somewhere around 80% Christian.

It’s a safe bet just about everybody at Al Sharpton’s gathering was Christian. I’m christian. Most everybody who voted for President Obama is Christian. President Obama is Christian. According to Pew Research Christians totally dominate both the political parties. Pew also reports, the overwhelming majority of both liberals and conservatives are Christians.
    http://religions.pewforum.org/comparisons#

So here we have a post about how Christians are getting their asses kicked in the United States by “enemies” . . “reflecting an ever increasing darkness in their hearts…”

I think this kind of paranoia is the result of too much time in a single political environment. Like watching the same movie too many times. You get a sort of crazy view of things.

I think this kind of paranoia is the result of too much time in a single political environment.

    Sort of like your paranoia?

“Look…Mike Huckabee is really Richard I!

  14. on 03 Sep 2010 at 13:0314think123

Rick, I’m not the one worried about “enemies” attacking my Christianity. I am worried about a TV shock jock who says the President hates white people drawing hundreds of thousands of people to his cause. Maybe sad is a better word than worried.
