What should we do to stop the Terrorists?

What does America need to do about terrorism? I don't know all of the answers, but I do have some positive suggestions. I absolutely reject the idea that people should have their rights suspending because they have the wrong name or religion and some bureaucrat put them on some list with a bad sounding name. Terror watchlist means that we have no evidence even to arrest you. Obviously, no rights should be suspended nor can be. Do you want to suspend first amendment rights too? There is room for compromise. If someone is on the list, the FBI should know and have a day to respond before someone on the list (or use up to 3 days available under law if necessary). If you ban them from getting it, you alert them that they are being watched which they may not have known. They may go underground or use alternative weapons. There is no violation of rights or due process to vet someone Read more

President Comments on Orlando Massacre

The WHITE HOUSE has issued the following statement on last night's mass killing in Orlando, FL. "Today, as Americans, we grieve the brutal murder -- a horrific massacre -- of dozens of innocent people. We pray for their families, who are grasping for answers with broken hearts. We stand with the people of Orlando, who have endured a terrible attack on their city. Although it is still early in the investigation, we know enough to say that this was an act of terror and act of hate. And as Americans, we are united in our grief, our outrage and our resolve to defend our people. "I just finished a meeting with FBI Director Comey and my homeland security and national security advisors. The FBI is on the scene and leading the investigation, in partnership with local law enforcement. I've directed that the full resources of the federal government be made available for this investigation. "We're Read more

Donald Trump Comments on Orlando Terrorism

DONALD J. TRUMP has issued the following STATEMENT REGARDING TRAGIC TERRORIST ATTACK IN ORLANDO, FLORIDA Last night, our nation was attacked by a radical Islamic terrorist. It was the worst terrorist attack on our soil since 9/11, and the second of its kind in 6 months. My deepest sympathy and support goes out to the victims, the wounded, and their families. In his remarks today, President Obama disgracefully refused to even say the words 'Radical Islam'. For that reason alone, he should step down. If Hillary Clinton, after this attack, still cannot say the two words 'Radical Islam' she should get out of this race for the Presidency. If we do not get tough and smart real fast, we are not going to have a country anymore. Because our leaders are weak, I said this was going to happen – and it is only going to get worse. I am trying to save lives and prevent the next terrorist Read more

It also means refusing to be intimidated and staying true to our Read more

Yesterday, Dover Delaware, Ocean City and Berlin Maryland Police Departments experienced bomb threats. The probing continues.

Statement from Dover PD

The Dover Police Department was forced to evacuate their police station at 5:17PM when a bomb threat was received through our 911 center. Our 911 center immediately transferred calls to the Kent County Department of Public Safety to avoid loss of services to the City of Dover residents upon receiving the call. The police station has since been cleared of any threats with assistance from the Delaware State Police and Delaware Capitol Police K9 Units. At this time, the department is beginning to resume normal operations in the department. If you have any information on this incident, or other threats in our area, please contact the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7111

Flood of Bomb Threats Are a real concern

Schools all over Delmarva, in all three Delaware Counties, in Virginia, and in Maryland had bomb threats near the same time through automated calls yesterday. There are reports of another round to different schools today. There are other security threat reports that we are receiving outside of schools that as of now are unconfirmed. We know their are active terror cells on Delmarva. They hacked WBOC and, there was an attack on this site following an article on radical Islam. Is this the beginning of probing to gauge our responses? We need to take this threat seriously. Even if it is a prankster, we need to stop them ASAP to avoid disrupting the lives of our people. We need to support our local police by giving them all the information that we have. What is out of the ordinary that you have seen? If you don't want to be to involved, at least call crime stoppers. Senator Tom Carper Comments on Defeating ISIS at Home

U.S. Senator Tom Carper(D- DE), through his electronic Newsletter "Carpers Connection" (12/13/2015) comments on Defeating ISIS at Home: Dear Friends, This week, the Philadelphia Inquirer published my op-ed that shares my views on what I believe to be the greater threat to our homeland – homegrown terrorism driven or inspired by ISIS. Tragically, as the San Bernardino, California attacks underscored, the threat of a homegrown attack and self-radicalization is all too real. In my op-ed, I explain what we need to do to counter this threat and defeat ISIS here at home. You can read my op-ed below or click the link: “Defeat ISIS here at home .” The recent attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif., have made it all too clear that terrorists’ threats to Americans and our allies are real. Whether these recent attacks were coordinated or inspired by ISIS or another terrorist Read more

At Least 2 Dead, Dozens injured As Two Bombs Explode At Boston Marathon

At least two people are dead and dozens injured – including up to 10 with amputated limbs – after two bombs tore through the finish line of the Boston Marathon and another exploded near a Boston library, according to the Boston Police Department. Authorities were guarding a person of interest at a local hospital, sources told FoxNews.com. The person had severe burns, but authorities had not determined whether the person was a victim or a perpetrator. The FBI, which was treating the bombing as a terrorist investigation, was analyzing video from several area surveillance cameras. The simultaneous explosions just before 3 p.m., another blast several miles away more than an hour later, and reports of two other unexploded devices found near the scene raised suspicions of a terrorist attack. Authorities shut down cellular service in the area in order to prevent remote detonations. Read more
