The area is pretty excited with the Ravens returning to the Superbowl after 12 years absent from the Championship game. America enjoys two weeks of build up to the great game. I remember an era where we rarely lived up to the hype. It seemed the conference championships were the better games. Here are the 10 worse Superbowls according to SI.com.
My friends have covered the Rio win well. I am happy for it. One the Olympics will be in our time frame so we will not miss the events. Two, they should finally get an Olympics in South America. Three, unlike our liberal friends, I care about the children of the 10/30 window. I want them to know that no matter where they are born, the dreams God put in them are for them to achieve. The fact that we lost so early is a testament to the incompetence of the Chicago committee. I am so glad that they did not get to waste billions of our money. They had unprecedented resources and still failed. They brought the President in when it was not even close. The administration now looks like a bunch of amateurs. When the President is suppose to be so popular and cannot even get in the top two, it shows the critics of his foreign policy have a valid point. We have the same results with Read more
The NCAA, an organization that typically worries more about schools that have native American mascots or states that have the Confederate battle banner in their state flags has lowered the boom on Delaware for passing legislation that allows sports betting. I know that some here have problems with any and all gambling and I respect that position. However, in this case the positition of the NCAA is pure hypocrisy. Sports betting is allowed in a small number of states including Montana. (another state with a high profile I-AA team) yet the NCAA Executive Committee drafted a policy that singles out Delaware's system of betting as a means of banning post season contests within the State. Some of the obvious losers are the University of Delaware, Delaware State University, and Wesley College. But there are also many fine athletes who go to Wilmington University and Goldey Beacom Read more
It is official. Jim Johnson, the best defensive coordinator in Professional football is being replaced. Jim is fighting cancer of the spine. As defensive coordinator of the Phil. Eagles Jim has devised schemes to bring the Andy Reid Eagles to NFL prominence. Rush Limbaugh properly identified Johnson as the key to the Eagles success. The Eagles have the best record in the NFL during the Johnson reign of the last 10 years. Typically, assistant coaches garner little attention. Johnson was an exception. His name was consistently mentioned on NFL broadcasts. Typically, NFL assistants are there waiting for a Head Coach offer. Johnson consistently made it clear he was a defensive coordinator for the duration. I have switched my allegiance to the Ravens for the obvious Delaware connection but Jim Johnson is the type of class act that all Philly fans can and should admire. Johnson is facing Read more
I am not kidding. A male attorney makes a hundreds-of-miles trip to purposely put himself into a womens'-geared promotion for Breast Cancer Awareness and turns around and sues for gender discrmination. Apparently he's close to a half-million+ dollar settlement. My wife was almost was killed in 2005 by a negligent *itch who passed people on a curve, over a double-yellow, and hit her head-on at over 50MPH. We were "awarded" 30k before 33% + fees + subrogation. We are almost now at over $60k in medical bills plus massive financial problem that resulted from it. The insurance company was allowed to argue that a child we had two years later was to blame for the on-going medical issues. FTR, my wife had zero complications around the birth of that child. Yeah, tort law is totally effing fair. 👿 Here is the article on the litigation specialist. Prepare to puke. Read more
Three new casinos for Delaware? That's our new Governor's vision for our beloved state. Think about it...Delaware is 96 miles long...3 new casinos will give us a casino every 16 miles! Oh yeah, and apparently we might need sports betting (even though professional sports is opposed to it), and table games, too. Well, I have an idea for Governor Markell, put the first new casino in Greenville, where you live. Just take a look at Greenville, there's lots of space for a nice, big, full blown casino with table games and slot machines and sports betting.... View Larger Map Afterall, you did say this: ...we will spread our sacrifices so no one citizen or group bears a disproportionate burden of this challenge." That means you and your neighbors, too, right, Governor? Read more
Delaware gov. eyes legal sports bets . On a side note, the dope(s) that handles the web-posting of their stories managed to misspell Delaware on the HTML-page-title.
Now this guy is a real fan. A mooch, yes, but I’d say all is forgiven. Face it, I’m jealous of this guy’s oomph!
What in the name of kissing sisters was that mess yesterday? Sad thing is, in spite of the awful play calling of Andy Reid (58 passes against 17 running plays...in an OT game), McNabb is taking big heat for this debacle. Excuse me! Sorry you haters, McNabb isn't the problem, at least not to the extent many claim he is. 75 plays, 58 are passing plays...WT-freaking-F? I was for a long a time a Reid defender, but how can anyone be that anymore? He bring a good talent-evaluation ability in his large frame, but beyond that, I can't say he has anything else anymore. Face it, Andy, on-field coaching appears to have passed you by and like my GOP, you have done nothing to adapt to the times. 75 plays, 58/17 passes/runs (psst...Andy...that is at 77.33% rate of passing plays). Ever hear of Brian Westbrook? We know you have. Ever hear of Correll Buckhalter? We know you have. How about Lorenzo Read more
Who would of thunk it?! The most reserved guy on the team and it is HIS quote that gets the most mileage…and he did it TWICE in one season. The Chase Utley quotable is for sale.

From article 3592734 on espn.com:
‘The Star-Spangled Banner’ is going on. I don’t celebrate this [expletive]. I’m black.Because I believe in the Constitution more than the White House Administration does, I am OK if Josh has contempt for our National Anthem. Hell, I even thought Ted Turner had a good idea about making it more time-relevant and wanting it to be changed to “America, The Beautiful.” Ray Charles version, please. Anyway, it’s not his contempt that irks me, it’s the reasoning. Josh certainly left volumes open to interpretation here, but I can’t imagine any of it being positive.
