DON AYOTTE Comments on Election EVE

By: Wolf von Baumgart, Staff Writer On the day before the 2016 Delaware General Election, Independent Party of Delaware (IPoD) 20th District State Representative candidate Don Ayotte shares his thoughts: "America is at a most critical crossroads. The choices that we make will radically affect our future. We have a choice between living in a constitutional republic or a social dictatorship. That is why we must choose a path of individual freedom and liberty that will lead to greater prosperity. The alternative is very bleak indeed." "Fortunately, there is a new spirit of Independence dawning throughout the land. The special interest driven two-party system and its political polarization no longer serves the People. WE need a constructive independent alternative. That's why I am running to serve the people of the 20th District in the Delaware House of Representatives" Don Ayotte Read more

The Independent Party of Delaware (IPoD) has announced that it has surpassed its monthly voter registration for the second consecutive month. For the month of October, 606 voters joined its ranks, topping September's record high of 263. "Virtually all of this growth was organic and voter-initiated -- not the result of party-sponsored voting registration efforts, according to a party spokesman. We have excellent chances to elect candidates on November 8.", he said. The majority of the expansion took place in New Castle County, followed by good numbers in Sussex and Kent counties. Highlights of Donald Trump’s Gettysburg Address:

“I’m not a politician, and have never wanted to be one. But when I saw the trouble our country was in, I knew I couldn’t stand by and watch any longer. Our country has been so good to me, I love our country, I felt I had to act,” said Mr. Trump in his address. “Change has to come from outside this broken system. The fact that the Washington establishment has tried so hard to stop our campaign is only more proof that our campaign represents the kind of change that only arrives once in a lifetime,” he continued. “I am asking the American people to rise above the noise and the clutter of our broken politics, and to embrace that great faith and optimism that has always been the central ingredient in the American character. I am asking you to dream big. “What follows is my 100-day action plan to Make America Great Again. It is a contract between Donald J. Trump and the Read more

Hillary Clinton Statement on the Resignation of DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz

"I want to thank my longtime friend Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her leadership of the Democratic National Committee over the past five years. I am grateful to Debbie for getting the Democratic Party to this year's historic convention in Philadelphia, and I know that this week's events will be a success thanks to her hard work and leadership. There's simply no one better at taking the fight to the Republicans than Debbie--which is why I am glad that she has agreed to serve as honorary chair of my campaign's 50-state program to gain ground and elect Democrats in every part of the country, and will continue to serve as a surrogate for my campaign nationally, in Florida, and in other key states. I look forward to campaigning with Debbie in Florida and helping her in her re-election bid--because as President, I will need fighters like Debbie in Congress who are ready on day one to get to work Read more

Sanders Comments on Wasserman-Schultz Resignation

Sanders Statement on DNC Chair Resignation

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders issued the following statement on the resignation of Debbie Wasserman Schultz as Democratic Party chairwoman:

“Debbie Wasserman Schultz has made the right decision for the future of the Democratic Party. While she deserves thanks for her years of service, the party now needs new leadership that will open the doors of the party and welcome in working people and young people. The party leadership must also always remain impartial in the presidential nominating process, something which did not occur in the 2016 race.”

PAUL MANAFORT STATEMENT ON DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ

Debbie Wasserman Schultz resigned over her failure to secure the DNC’s email servers and the rigged system she set up with the Clinton campaign. Now Hillary Clinton should follow Wasserman Schultz’s lead and drop out over her failure to safeguard top secret, classified information both on her unauthorized home server and while traveling abroad. Wasserman Schultz’s emails only put the Democratic Party at risk, but Hillary Clinton’s emails put all of America at risk.
