10 Reasons to vote for Marco Rubio

With the Virginia primary being today, I will give you 10 Reasons to vote for Marco Rubio. The campaign is becoming too much why not to vote for certain people. 1, he will fight for our Constitutional rights minus his failure to combat the NSA. He stands for religious liberty, free speech, the 2nd amendment, property rights, the tenth amendment and more. 2. He stands for life. 3 He stands for fundamental tax reform that will revitalize our economy and benefit our families/ 4. He has a sensible plan for encouraging paid family leave which is vital to the well being of our families in an age where both spouses work or many are not married. How? A 25% non-refundable tax credit for businesses that voluntarily offer at least four weeks of paid family leave, limited to twelve weeks of leave and $4,000 per employee each year. It would be: •Adaptable to all employee Read more

Senator Marco Rubio on Education

Senator Marco Rubio, who is running for the Republican Presidential nod, released the following. It’s an exciting time of year: Our kids are heading back to school and millions of young adults are going off to college. But the schools they’re headed to aren’t nearly as good as they should be. And the burden of going back to a mediocre school is borne most by those who can afford it least — the least fortunate kids, who most need a better shot. Year after year, Democrats just want to throw more money at our outdated, inefficient system, trying to fix the problem by legislating from Washington and paying off their political backers who want to protect the broken status quo at all costs. I want an alternative, based on three important principles: Restore local control and stop Common Core. Modernize our higher education system. Give parents a choice. Stopping Common Read more

Rubio Is the Worst Nightmare for Progressives

If the election were yesterday, what would a Rubio v. Clinton election look like? Rubio would win by 2 or 3 points, but would have a strong showing in the electoral college giving Clinton the doubt in VA, NH, MN, and Rubio IA and OH where he leads within the margin of error. New polling puts him solidly ahead in MI and PA. Map created at By Comparison Donald Trump is not at that level currently. Map created at A Bush v. Clinton race would be unpredictable. Is Rubio the Man?

I really like Senator Marco Rubio, but this is not an endorsement. This is an analysis of the momentum his campaign has received. Since launching his campaign, Marco Rubio has consistently been in the top tier of GOP candidates. He has a billionaire surrogate godfather willing to fund his super Pac. His poll numbers have put him 1, 2, or 3 every week. He has gained the praise of the Conservative media and attacks by the liberal New York Times and left wing blogs have been so petty that even many moderates have mocked them. Attack him for sipping water when he got a little choked up. Attack him for his wife getting speeding tickets (the latest evidence is that this petty story was orchestrated by a Clinton Super Pac). Attack him for not being rich and borrowing money to get a good education so he could be comfortable. Attack him for saying that anyone who defends religious freedom Read more

Chicken Little Republicans

Failure to pass ban on late term abortions favored 2 to 1 highlights the need to educate some. Some Republicans are so intent on not failing they are afraid to succeed. That is what caused them the majority in 2006. Back then, they had the war fatigue factor and the Foley scandal. The only thing to change the topic would have been action. Financial reform and tax reform would have saved the economy from later collapsing. It would have been good for the country, but coincidentally, it would have been good politics. Call it collateral benefit. Some moderate Republicans who are skittish over the idea that 5 months is too little time to actually report a rape for a rape exception, caused Thursday's vote to be delayed. I reject the notion. If you can report a rape to an abortionist, you can report it to police. If you want to add a doctor, minister, or therapist to the list, go ahead. Read more

Rubio to Visit Israel

While it is typical for the members of the Foreign Relations Commission to visit visit key spots on the globe, the Rubio visit to Israel and Jordan is seen as significant because he is visiting many of the key power brokers in the region.  The press is already promoting it as preparation for 2016. Senator Marco Rubio is no longer a rising star in the Republican Party.  He is a true star with staying power.  He was a very successful Speaker of the House and part of a team that made Florida a solid Republican state.   We all know his personal story, the son of immigrants that fled oppression, who worked hard to provide a better life for their children.  One of those children is now a U. S. Senator. More intriguing is the fact that Senator Rubio seems to be a true idea person in an age of sound bytes.  Instead of 3 issues and a bumper sticker, Rubio became an idea raiser in Florida Read more

Benghazi–2012 Scandal of the Year

Senator Marco Rubio had the best characterization of the new independent report. He said that it showed this was a planned act of terror not related to some obscure video. His office released this statement last week. Rubio Statement on Independent Report Regarding Attacks on U.S. Mission Facility and Annex in Benghazi Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence and Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released the following statement after an independent report was released regarding the attacks on the U.S. mission facility and annex in Benghazi: “The independent report on the September 11 attacks on our mission facility and annex in Benghazi confirms what we have long known to be true: that Ambassador Stevens and the other Americans who lost their lives in the attacks could have been saved by better protection, Read more

Group Praises Rubio and Coons

November 15, 2011 3:33 PM EST Calls on President Obama to Get Involved in the Discussion WASHINGTON, Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, a leading voice of Latino conservatives, commended U.S. Senators Chris Coons (D-DE) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) for introducing today the American Growth, Recovery, Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Act. The AGREE Act stems from areas of common agreement between the President's jobs plan, recommendations from the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, and plans put forward by both parties in Congress and includes a provision which eliminates per country caps on employment based immigrant visas and increases the per country cap for family-based immigrant visas from seven to fifteen percent.  This same provision is included in H.R. 3012, the Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act, which Read more

Marco Rubio the Next Vice President?

President Obama received around 70% of the Latino vote. Now his approval rating is falling weekly with that group. He has done nothing for them especially in the area of jobs and a strong economy. With suburban white voters going back to the GOP, all Republicans need is to go back to Bush levels of support among Latinos and the election is lock. Republicans do not need to win that vote, just not get blown away. The fact is that Senator Rubio wouldn't be the Hispanic candidate for more than a day of media frenzy. He will soon become the American candidate. He truly transcends ethnicity much like we hoped President Obama would. His passion is Americanism. That is a message we desperately need to hear. It is one that hearts yearn to believe. So while the elite like him because he checks a box off, the rest of us like him because who he is and what he believes. He is one of us. That Read more
