In a sensational and horrific case, Dr. Kermit Gosnell, a Philadelphia abortionist was charged with eight counts of murder. One patient allegedly died under his care after a botched abortion, and seven infants born alive, whose spinal cords Gosnell allegedly severed with scissors, are among the known atrocities. The trial began on March 18, with an amazing lack of coverage, according to recent reports from the Washington Times. Dr. Kermit Gosnell was an abortionist, meaning that any coverage of the trial risks painting the pro-choice movement in an unflattering light. In a statement issued last week, twenty conservative leaders called for an end to what they described as a "media blackout" and "censoring" of the trial for political reasons. (report from the Wash. Times) "The mainstream media has been studiously avoiding the trial of abortion butcher Kermit Gosnell, despite the Read more
If ever an individual deserved to be fired for wholesale not doing their job, it is CNN's Candy Crowley. Crowley, in case you missed the presidential debate last night, inserted herself into the middle of the debate by affirming President Obama's assertion that he said the Libyan attack was an "act of terror". "No acts of terror" will ever shake this nation, was what he said. Also talked about catching the "killers" of our Libyan ambassador. Hey, nothing wrong with spin. And God knows that this White House works diligently to spin and lie and deceive. They act as if we were all born at night, LAST NIGHT. Video of the incident in question. What we didn't need was for some pathetic loser-burger so called journalist interjecting her self into the debate by verifying that indeed, the day after the Libyan incident, President Obama DID say the attacks on our Libyan embassy were Read more
Gallup reports that 55% of Americans distrust the News Media to tell them the truth. Any sane person who reads the New York Times has already figured this out. 47 % of Americans believe that the News Media is too liberal. There are 13% of Americans who live underneath a rock who believe that the Media is too conservative. I suggest these folks move to North Korea where they can find a News Media more to their liking.
One can't make up things liberals say and do. Liberal icon and New York Times columnist has suggested that a possible threat of the invasion of earth by space aliens would generate the kind of government defense programs that will snap this nations economy into recovery in 18 months. Krugman, who liberals tell us is very smart, was on Sunday's CNN's show "Fareed Zakaria GPS". Krugman's analysis is to use the analogy of World War 2 and how the war got us out of the Great Depression. Hey wait, I thought Roosevelt's New Deal got us out of the Great Depression!! It is so hard to keep straight the things liberals say. At any rate here is what Krugman said. PAUL KRUGMAN, NEW YORK TIMES: Think about World War II, right? That was actually negative social product spending, and yet it brought us out. I mean, probably because you want to put these things together, if we Read more
Political humorist, Jon Stewart said that Fox News viewers are the most misinformed viewers according to every poll out there. That seemed more like a Donald Trump worthy overstatement. Politifact actually found the comedian worthy of being fact checked and concluded he was incorrect. Fox News viewers are not any worse than the average. What I consider interesting is the reaction. Politifact was swamped with protest. This mildest of dissent from the left wing orthodoxy by a nonpartisan fact checking source was viewed as some sort of heresy. Apparently, it is an article of faith for those on the hard left that "Faux News" is not a real source of news, but misinformation filling the minds of ill informed, bitter people who cling to GODand guns. Politifact attempts to be fair. I think they lean left, but not to the point of not being a useful and credible source. If Read more
I usually don't take the time to pick apart News Journal Editorials. If one followed up on the faulty research and convoluted thinking of the NJ editorial staff then no one would have time to eat, sleep, go to work etc. However going back over the last week of writings one comes upon another typical example of the lazy liberal exploitation of being the State's largest media outlet. The Editorial in question is titled "State Set to ignore law on Counting Prisoners" The premise of the editorial is that once again Wilmington is getting hosed by the members of the General Assembly. Here is the opening sentence to the piece. It looks like it's gang up on Wilmington week in Legislative Hall. From the tone of legislators' comments it sounds like the city's need for representation and individuals' rights under the "one man, one vote" doctrine is, oh, so much bother. Do you get Read more
The dumkopfs in the liberal media have been exposed as the biased idiots that they are. The Associated Press has gone on record as reporting that General Electric (Obama's favorite crony capitalist company) is returning the 3.2 billion tax refund it is receiving this year. General Electric gets paid back regularly for putting money into money losing Liberal Propaganda operations such as NBC and MSNBC. This makes them the one corporation liberals love. The AP story also said that GE would phase out foreign tax havens used to avoid corporate income taxes in the U.S.. In the press release was a statement that GE would add one U.S. job for every foreign job created. The only problem for the liberal fact checkers at the Associated Press is that none of this is true. It was a hoax perpetuated by a group called the Yes Men. In the true tradition of Dan Rather and CBS News, Read more
Joe Biden’s team decided to violate the rights of a reporter for the Orlando Sentinel. The Vice Kidnapper in Chief didn’t want reporter Scott Powers to mingle with the rich hoity toity liberal big buck donors at an Orlando Florida fundraiser for Democrat Senator Nelson. Biden’s staffers locked the reporter in a closet. Remember when it comes to the First Amendment and transparency, Biden is a typical liberal hypocrite. His crew locked up a reporter and the local paper wanted to try and cover it up. The reporter did take pictures of the room where he was imprisoned. Any bets that no one will be fired for this? http://www.drudgereport.com/flash7.html
So to all of the liberals out there who bought the stupid idea that Obama was going to make us loved by the rest of the world, here is further proof that the Obama U.S. abasement tour meant nothing to those who hate the U.S. On Friday Molotov cocktails were thrown at the U.S. Consulate in Rio de Janierio in the midst of anti Obama protests in Brazil. Care to see what the protestors think of Obama. Well as they say a picture is worth a thousand words. And at the top we have the pictures. Brazilian authorities also had to cancel Obama's outdoor address at the Main Square in Rio. Here is one account of Friday's Protests: http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=pt&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fultimosegundo.ig.com.br%2Fvisitaobama%2Fprotesto%2Bno%2Brio%2Bcontra%2Bvisita%2Bde%2Bobama%2Btem%2Bcoquetel%2Bmolotov%2Fn1238180343786.html Does anyone think that if Read more
This is not a big deal, but imagine if Huckabee, Pawlenty, or Romney did this. If it were Vice President Palin, the media would be calling for impeachment. My point is very simple. Do not let the left wing media tell you what is important or make mountains out of mole hills. Don’t worry Vice President Biden, most of us would have run the chance of doing the same thing after jet lag. We won’t laugh like the kids in the University did. It happens. I just wonder when the gotcha press will talk about real issues when it comes to Republicans.
Harry Reid defends Cowboy PoetryI Those mean rotten stingy Republicans are at it again. They are proposing budget cuts to the National Endowment for the Humanities. Liberal Democrat Majority Leader Senator Harry Reid has his panties in a bunch over. One item that may be impacted is Cowboy Poetry Festival. Let's see what Reid has to say about this. The mean-spirited bill, H.R. 1, eliminates National Public Broadcasting," said Reid in a floor speech. "It eliminates the National Endowment of the Humanities, National Endowment of the Arts. These programs create jobs. The National Endowment of the Humanities is the reason we have in northern Nevada every January a cowboy poetry festival. Had that program not been around, the tens of thousands of people who come there every year would not exist.” I am curious as to how many people would cease existing if this funding is cut. But at any Read more
Well the James O'Keefe video sting has done it again and this time they have exposed the U.S. Tax supported liberal biased Public Radio and Television. The video crew has recorded the effete liberal Senior Executive Ron Schiller as bashing Middle America the Republican Party, tea party, Jewish influence in the Media etc.......... Of course to liberals the biggest sin Ron Schiller committed was his statement that Public Television and Radio would be better off without Federal Financing. Well to this I say let's give them what they want, No more federal dollars for NPR and PBS. The accumulated bias and bigotry expessed by Mr. Schiller are too numerous to mention on one post. I will separate more out. Until then go to this website: http://dailycaller.com/2011/03/08/npr-executives-caught-on-tape-bashing-conservatives-and-tea-party-touting-liberals/ The video can Read more
I am always amazed by what basic things liberals don’t know. One of the problems of posting as a conservative is the total lack of historic and cultureal knowledge of liberals. Liberals can take one word out of context, due to their ignorance, and then go ballistic when they are the ones who misunderstood the term in the first place. I saw this phenomenon in person when I referenced 2 Delaware State News Reporters as “useful idiots”. The usual liberal, get your panties in a bunch, crowd used this term to accuse me of name calling etc. Not to be out done the usual liberal choir then chose to justify their own name calling based on their ignorance of a term I used. (Aren’t liberals always preaching that 2 wrongs don’t make a right?) At any rate I consciously used the term “useful idiots” not as name calling or as a pejorative. Instead I used the term Read more
Maryland's State Senate passed a same sex marriage billwith one vote to spare. The bill is now before the House Judiciary committee. The Wilmington News Journal didn't quite have the same balance the Washington Post did in the first link. In the copy editor's mind, it was the passage of the Marriage Equity bill. If that were in the title of the bill, I would excuse it. The fact they just pulled it out of the propaganda of the Gay Rights advocates tells me what I need to know. There is no pretense of equal treatment on this issue. I expect better when the issue comes to Delaware this spring. The good news is that people contacted the Senate in record numbers. Outside of Montgomery County, the phone calls were running as high as 10 to 1 against even in Prince Georges County. Maryland Democrats have over reached here. I bet this will go to referendum. Helen Thomas announced her retirement after Drudge outed her anti-Zionist extremism. The Jews should go back to Poland and Germany, she proclaimed. Now she is retiring a month short of her 90th birthday. I guess Matt Drudge is the new king of Journalism. No wonder they want to have the new Drudge Tax.
Gov. Christie of New Jersey is just the kind of guy we need to turn this country around. As usual when a conservative is effective the liberal news media become critics of the “tone”. Well this 6 minute video is a tour de force and is a great demonstration of how Conservatives can deal with a hostile media.
Twitter user "jpconnorjr" posted a tweet about Apple boycotting Fox News because of Glen Beck's show. I'm not sure if this was a recent development or if this is old news. The far left has pressured several advertisers to avoid Beck's opinion show and with some even avoiding the whole network. If Apple has wussed out and jumped ship, it looks like Jon Scott and Jane Skinner, hosts of the network's 11AM show "Happening Now" need to start covering those Apple logos on the back of their MacBooks. It's understandable that companies pick where they want their ads placed. If a company didn't want ads placed on a news opinion show, they certainly have the right to act on that. It does seem stupid to avoid a ratings goldmine, considering Fox leaves their news rivals CNN and MSNBC in the dust. If these boycotters leave their ads at the opinion/news networks CNN and MSNBC, I sure hope there are Read more
Our Vice President, Joseph Biden, believes that we can lead the world economically in the 21st Century. The problem is that he said the 20th century. In the written edition, the AP corrected the error for the VP. No harm done except that we have You Tube. I don't really have a problem with the VP, who spent well over 50 years in the 20th century slipping up. I don't really have a problem with the AP changing the quote without bracketing it. I just wonder what would have happened if Governor Sarah Palin would have done it? I wonder do I really have to ask. Read more
"Very rarely did we communicate through the press anything that we didn't absolutely control," said Dunn. No wonder Anita Mao lover Dunn hates Fox News and talk radio. Those stupid fools refuse to get with the program of the glorious leader. Every White House, since Wilson, has tried to control the message it sent to the public. No White House has been quite as successful. None has certainly been boastful enough to brag about it to the foreign press. In fairness, Anita Dunn was speaking about the campaign not governance. The conclusion that the attitude of control and manipulation is based upon White House Attacks on the big three talkers, Rush, Shawn, and Glenn, as well as the all out war on the one network that is not in the tank. I am concerned when an administration refuses to talk with a major news organization because it wants to force changes in the commentary. That Read more
Mad Man: Is Glenn Beck Bad for America? By David Von DrehleWhen they can no longer ignore you they attack you. I am anxiously awaiting the "Insane Woman: Is Speaker Pelosi Bad for America" article. You see the fact the Beck has been proven right only infuriates them. The fact that Pelosi is in power and talks about her opponents as Nazi's and fears that they are going to break out into murderous rampages is no big deal. The facts are that the organized violence has all been from her side. A pro-life protester gunned down by someone who choose a post natal abortion for him. Senator McCaskil's aid led a mob into beating peaceful anti-Obama care protesters. Organizing America muscled out people who did not agree with them at some town halls. Yet, the big question is about Glenn Beck. Former alcoholic Teddy Kennedy killed someone in his days of intoxication, yet he is celebrated by Time which Read more
There is a significant controversy over the AP publishing a photograph of a marine fatally wounded in battle. The marine was being cared for by his comrades in a frantic attempt to save his life. The family strongly asked that particular photograph not be published. The AP rejected their pleas and said it was newsworthy and that overrode the concern for the family. One has to ask if this were a car accident where a criminal in a car chase hit an innocent driver would the AP ignore the family? Just because the young man signed up to protect the public does that make him a public figure? Is the AP serving the public interest or exploiting a private individual's last moments? I have no doubt there was a news value to the story, but when the family says no to one picture do they not have any rights? Do they have to sacrifice their son once for our protection and a second time for Read more
Congressman Mike Castle R-D has definatively opposed the public optionat a Philadelphia meeting. Typically the News Journal Headline stated Castle opposes health reform. It ignores that many of us would like to see reform, but we do not want reform for the sake of reform. We want more freedom, market competition, and better responsiveness in the healthcare system. We do not want government being provider and regulator. Congressman Castle may have a different vision for reform than the left wing of the Democrat Party, but that does not mean he opposes health care reform WNJ.
ABC turned down a powerful health care ad featuring a Neurosurgeon because it was partisan. I was not one of those who had a problem with the day at the White House featuring the President and his plan. I do have a problem when the network won't even sell time to opponents. It is a free country and they have a right to sell to whom they wish. I have a right to question their commitment to open public discourse. If ABC wishes to back the President, let them do so. Don't pretend that you can turn over your network to one side of an issue and then claim that you don't want partisanship. That is insulting and outrageous. It is why I no longer watch ABC news or much else on the network. ABC should at least allow people to pay to express themselves because the network doesn't give a fair shake in its free coverage. We are not asking for fair coverage, just a voice. Is even that too Read more
