Castle Stands for Protecting American Health Care
Sep 1st, 2009 by David Anderson
Congressman Mike Castle R-D has definatively opposed the public optionat a Philadelphia meeting. Typically the News Journal Headline stated Castle opposes health reform. It ignores that many of us would like to see reform, but we do not want reform for the sake of reform. We want more freedom, market competition, and better responsiveness in the healthcare system. We do not want government being provider and regulator. Congressman Castle may have a different vision for reform than the left wing of the Democrat Party, but that does not mean he opposes health care reform WNJ.

I won’t go so far as to agree with Congressman Castle as his positions change by the second apparently ( at Christiana Hospital he sang a rather different song) and he has little regard or I should say is “past that” when referring to the Constitution. What I will say is that he is and we all are not only entitled to form opinions but also required in a Democratic Republic to voice them. No one on any side in their right mind thinks our system is perfect but you don’t blow up the building with the people in it because a few floors need work.
Don’t knock a person for listening to you.
That is true, if the citizens of Delaware have to act as leg braces and crutches in order for our Representatives to stand up for American health care, than so be it, so long as the Representative stands.
