Perhaps Mike Castle will get a opponent in whatever race he chooses to enter. Outside of certain 'leaders', his base of support may be rather thin. Encourage opposition rather than waste your vote on third party candidates.

Remember that he is a person who knows only politics. This is a rather poor resume for today's world.

annoni, I completely understand what you are saying. I will support any candidate who I agree with on policy. If there is such a candidate in the primaries, I will support them, but if comes down to Castle and a Dem in the general, I will campaign against him. These squishes in congress need to fear us. If we roll over when they vote of stuff like this, they win, we lose. When they start to think twice before voting on stuff like this, that is when we start to gain ground. When they vote against stuff like this even though they are promised all kinds of goodies, because they fear the backlash so much, that is when we win.

When the government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.

Well guys, he has guaranteed as of Friday that he will not have a clear shot at the nomination for senate. I am pretty sure Christine is in to stay. The ball is in his court. He has no one to blame but himself. He could have tried to work a deal and certainly not done this. I wonder if he will end up retiring, running for the House seat, or will he end his career putting the party through a heart and soul primary fight. I think that he should do the right thing and not force a primary, but that is his right like any other citizen.

Joe, I think you will find campaigning FOR someone much more rewarding.

remember that in the past voting against Mike Castle ment voting for whatever protest candidate/nutjob the Dems put up to fill their dance card.
I can't imagine the Dems putting up a canidate who was to the right of Mike, even though that stratagy got them the majority in the house and senate.

On this topic, have you guys seen his statement he put out on the passing of more CAFE standards a few weeks ago:
-------------------------------------------
"CASTLE RESPONDS TO OBAMA'S ANNOUNCEMENT ON CAFE STANDARDS

Washington - Delaware Congressman Mike Castle (R-DE) today applauded President Barack Obama's announcement that fuel economy standards will be raised to 35.5 miles per gallon (mpg) by 2016. Rep. Castle has supported this standard of 35 mpg, adopted by Congress in 2007, and has urged the U.S. Transportation Secretary (June 2008 letter) and President Obama (March 2009 letter) to adopt the maximum feasible fuel economy standard.

Today's announcement is overdue. I applaud the President's announcement that the EPA and Transportation Department will be working together to boost federal fuel economy requirements and meet strict emission limits. A single national standard will also provide predictability and certainty for American auto companies at a time when they most need it. Reducing greenhouse gas emission and our dependence on oil are critical for the environment, public health, and national security."
----------------------------------------

Yeah, having thousands of more people die every year due to lighter, more dangerous cars in the name of junk science is such a great idea. (/sarcasm) What a dope.

Nice to join your community guys. I am fed up with Mike Castle. I am going to actively campaign against him in 2010, whatever he runs for. I told him that this was the last straw and just finished writing him a very strongly-worded letter. We cannot have people like him representing our side. He sold his soul to Pelosi and junk science. This will be remembered. He is going suffer an astounding defeat because of his squishness and the fact that he is a RINO.

That's funny (comment 10). Personally, I hope that they do. (9) They both may go down to defeat. That could force them to end up passing a health care bill that actually does some good and gets bipartisan support to save their reputations. I hope to see a lot more of your comments.

The President will ask for both. He will contiinue to claim "the house is on fire" - must pass NOE, don't bother to read the bill.

Dingy Harry Reed will try to push both through.
